We enjoyed our stay for the night. We went to a concert at MidFlorida Amphitheater. The location was prime! Short walking distance. The hotel was clean.

We spent 2 nights. The front desk person was very nice. The check in kiosk is very hard to hear. The speaker is really bad. I saw more than one person having trouble with this besides me. I would have given a better score if it weren’t a fake eyelash on one of the towels when we first entered our room.

We were extremely disappointed with La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Tampa Fairgrounds/Casino. The hotel smelled of smoke and mustiness. The carpets were dirty and the room was in poor, unsanitary condition. It did not look like the photos. We expected a room that matched what was advertised, not anything above and beyond. The difference felt like false advertising. We traveled from out of state and booked in advance. The room was in such poor condition that we could not stay and had to find other accommodations at the last minute. We paid $316 for two nights and requested a refund through Hotels.com, but the hotel denied it. The staff was also unhelpful when we raised our concerns. I would not recommend this hotel. I ask Hotels.com to investigate and consider whether it should remain on the site.

We stayed 1 night during to the location across the stress from Mid Florida Amphitheater ( went to a concert) Check in was cool as there was a kiosk and I was talking with an agent live that completed my Check in. He was so friendly. The hotel was dated, but bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean. Other areas like carpets looked like they had not been vacuumed. Our room needed a little more TLC ( tv was dirty and night stand needed to be wiped down) but we have Clorox wipes so we wiped the nightstand. I would not stay there a full week , only a night or two. We saw no bugs anywhere. When we arrived there was a customer in the lobby drunk, screaming about cleanliness of his bed and his room not having a TV. It was very uncomfortable while that was happening trying to Check in. He was so rude to the staff and have to give them such compliments for how gracious they were being he was so verbally abusive. We were very comfortable. AC was cold , bed was soft . We were able to bring our dog for a $25 fee which is very good. There were 2 areas for pets with bags in case you needed it. The check out was on the kiosk with a nice young lady , I struggled to hear or understand her. But checkout was all of a couple of minutes. I think the kiosk was pretty cool for a check in/out.
