The hotel is under construction. Even though the room we stayed in was just remodeled there were issues. Bathroom door didn’t close, shower door opens during shower. Last day there was no hot water or water pressure.

This hotel was being remodeled at the time of my stay and was never notified ahead of time. The elevator was out of service most of the time, we were on the 3rd floor. Would have to call front desk, to have them send us the elevator, the construction crew was using, very frustrating and inconvenient. Staff would see us trying to use the elevator and not offer any help, till you asked, first time we used it, lady saw us get in elevator, knowing it was out of service, once we realized and opened elevator, lady said it was out of service and walked of. We walked down hall to find another elevator, which there was not one. When we came back to the front daesk, which is right next to elevator, we had to ask, how to get to our room. Lady at front desk which checked us in and watched us run all around says, oh I will call someone and have you go up on construction elevator, INSAIN. They were remodeling a room directly above our. They started using jack hammer and drill at 8am, very loud and impossible to sleep.. Then we went to leave and there was no one at front desk, so we just left. That afternoon, I got a checkout receipt from the hotel, with a parking fee, that I had never been told about. Would not recommend staying there, the staff was very disrespectful and not helpful. Plenty of other places to stay in Tampa.

Front desk staff were great on check-in and check-out. Hotel was going through construction so certain inconveniences might be expected. However, there were several safety concerns; one being, putting up a temporary door next to the elevator and the water/coffee station - I was almost hit twice by swinging door. A window needs to be placed in the door for people entering the lobby.

Overall, we had a decent stay. The hotel's location is excellent, it's within walking distance of the arena, which was perfect since we were attending a concert. From the outside and in the lobby, the hotel looks modern and well maintained. However, the rooms are very outdated. To be fair, the hotel is currently undergoing renovations, so hopefully the rooms will soon match the updated look of the rest of the property. Unfortunately, our room had several issues. The bathroom faucets leaked throughout the night, the bathtub was not properly cleaned, and we found small roaches in the kitchenette. We didn't discover the roaches until we returned from the concert late at night, so it wasn't practical to move our entire family to another room at that point. On the positive side, the breakfast was good, and the staff was absolutely amazing, everyone we interacted with was friendly, professional, and helpful. I would consider staying here again once the renovations are complete, but I hope the cleanliness and maintenance issues are addressed as well.
