We came to celebrate my birthday with my family. Our plan was to spend one night in the room watching General Hospital and eating junk food together. Unfortunately, the TV wasn’t working and the phone in the room was also broken. Because of that, we couldn’t order room service and had to go out for food instead. Maintenance tried to repair the TV and phone but were unable to fix them during our stay. The next morning we were given a credit for breakfast, which we appreciated. I have stayed at this hotel many times before and it is a beautiful place. I’ve never had a problem like this before. My family came all the way from Tennessee just to spend this one night celebrating with me, and we spent quite a bit for the stay, so it was disappointing that things didn’t work out the way we had planned. That said, we decided to make the best of it and went out to dinner and did some shopping to fill the time. I would still stay at this hotel again because I love their rooftop pool—although I didn’t get to enjoy it this time since it was too cold. I do wish the hotel had considered offering a complimentary night or a future stay so we could redo the experience, but maybe next year.
