It was a quick stay, but beds were comfortable, breakfast was good, place was nice, location was great. Parking was not easy and we received partial information from the hotel. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Room was clean and the AC in our room was fantastic. The hotel is in a bit of a rowdy part of town. Lots of loud music and yelling until 2-3am…makes it difficult if you have young children/infants. Hotel doors are also external and you have to pay $36 per night to park (on top of room cost and taxes).

This property is in a perfect location that is very walkable and one block from River street which made it very convenient. Unfortunately the room had an infestation of flies in the bathroom and the sheets had stains and hair on them which we didn't notice until right before we went to get into bed. We ended up sleeping on top of the comforter and kept the bathroom door closed to prevent the bugs from coming out. Also it was incredibly noisy outside of our room, especially for a Sunday night. Overall I would not recommend booking a room at this location.

We had an adjoining room, the door between the two rooms were so thin we could hear everything the couple next door were saying. We were given a King size bed (no problem) but the pillows were the size fit for a crib, get larger pillows and insulate the doors between rooms!!!

Very basic and unattractive property. Concrete block construction creating concrete walls in the rooms. Location was only 1 block from river walk but neighborhood felt a bit sketchy. My stay was uneventful, and the property seemed very full.

Didn’t eat breakfast. Towel rack in bathroom was broken and kept falling off the wall. Mattress was conclaves rolling you towards the middle. No towels in the room. VERY noisy out in front of the building. Walls very thin. Could hear everything in other rooms. Air conditioner was VERY loud. I didn’t sleep much despite my efforts.

Location of the property was great. Check in was easy. It is an older property and the walls were thin. You can definitely hear the street noise and any noisy neighbors- wasn't a deal breaker for us because we were only there for one night. If I was staying longer it might be a bigger concern.

This property is older and the rooms have direct access from the outside which makes the flooring in the unit VERY dirty. Our feet were very dirty. Our room was missing the shower curtain and a warm blanket on the bed. They just had top thin spread and cotton bedding. The street noise is very loud too.

This establishment was a great value, even with parking and taxes, coming in at under $180/night. Even though the room had minor issues, it was clean and the A/C worked. I understand the goal is to stay booked and maintenance has to work around bookings, so minor things dont bother me. The staff, on the other hand, is a whole different story. It was a mixed bag. We arrived an hour early and asked if we would be able to check in. We were not, and that was perfectly fine, because staff allowed us to use the lobby restroom after a long trip. When we checked in, the staff acted like we were bothering them and were unprofessional in their language and demeanor. I went down later that evening to ask for some salt and a paper plate so my little girl could eat some fruit we had brought with us. The individual who checked us in acted like I was a begger, not a paying guest. However, another staff member helped me and was gracious in her dealings with me. I went to the lobby, on the morning of our checkout, to get some coffee and ask for printed receipt to show there was no additional charges. I was told I could be printed a blank piece of paper. This was after I had to wait for the individual to stop phone scrolling.

The customer service at this hotel was hands down the best I have ever experienced (and I travel a lot!). The staff and manager went above and beyond to help me with issues I had with my credit card. Everyone was extremely friendly. The breakfast was great and they have coffee available all the time! The location was perfect! We could easily walk to everything. They have a concierge there to help with any travel needs. Beds and pillows were comfortable. We had friends that paid much more money for their hotel but ended up liking ours better because of the heated pool. Highly recommend!!!

This is a struggling property with some exceptional staff trying to keep it going! Bridget was a star & made our stay special. The rooms are clean and lovely. The rest of the property needs work. The location is fabulous - walk to the river & a 100 restaurants in a minute. But it is more motel than hotel and parking - even at $33! - is limited. Breakfast was lovely despite one staffer raging at guests throughout the morning. A work in progress. Would I stay here again? No. Did I love some of the staff & did they make my stay in Savannah forever memorable? Yes.

It was great, I have a dog and they don’t charge any extra, which was nice because parking is an extra charge. And I understand that because I was SO CLOSE to everything! One thing tho, the concierge Jasmine was not helpful. I had a burned out night stand bulb, and rather than jotting that down and relaying the message to maintenance for me, she just told me to get in the line of six people trying to check in. “Not my job” she said, “ I’m just here to book tours”

Location, is perfect for going to the the river walk . Great for restaurants. My only complaint is the noise, Bay Street is loud with trucks and loud cars . Rooms are not very sound proof . Great location to get to trolleys and ghost tours .

Location of the hotel was very good and everything we wanted to see and do was in walking distance. Check in was not a good experience, we arrived early and the lady on the desk couldn’t have been more helpful, however when we returned to actually check in, we saw a different lady who couldn’t have been more unfriendly if she tried. Not a smile or even eye contact. Cleanliness of the hotel could definitely have been better, the room could really do with a very deep clean. Breakfast was not great, more healthy options should be available and more attention needs to be made to environmental considerations, too much throw away plastic.

I have stayed at plenty of Best Westerns, and this is the only one I've had issues with. Everyone first of all was nice, but...We arrived before we could check in, and wanted to leave our luggage. They just leave it behind the desk and nothing to verify it is yours. Anyone could have easily taken it. Our room was super noisy, not exactly the hotels fault, but made it hard to sleep. Water pressure also stunk. The breakfast was awful. During our stay, most of the foods in the warming trays were empty. What they did have was cold. No one seemed.to be monitoring the fiod situation at all. It was barely edible.

The complementary breakfast was the BEST. The food was good, even though we came in to eat late (almost shut-down time) the food was hot and very appetizing, and the coffee was WONDERFUL! Best I had all weekend! Almost everything else was great, the one big issue, there was a cup of soda left on the desk when we checked in. I realize this was probably just an oversite and I disposed of it so it was all good. Other than that, no complaints. The service was excellent and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Would stay again and recommend to others.

The Best Western Savannah Historic District was located at a great spot and service was really good. Everyone was really friendly. We docked a star because our room didn't quite match the pictures in terms of how modern and fresh the picture looked. Also because, while breakfast was included, and while we did go down to breakfast about an hour before it was set to finish, there were really only hash browns, waffles, and sliced bread left to eat.
