There was a stained washcloth that looked dirty in the bathroom. Only one roll of toilet paper in the room. The first room we were given was in the middle of all the construction so we asked for one on the first floor. But then we didn’t have the same kind of room as I it did not have the kitchen nor the table and chairs. I probably won’t stay here again. No elevator either was inconvenient.

The hot tub is filled with concrete and the pool wasn't clean. Chemicaled, but not clean. The whole reason we picked this spot was that it has a hot tub. But it didn't.

Price was iffy but less than others. Busy weekend for the hotel and city. One staff person, fairly overwhelmed in my opinion. No towels in the pool area. Used to be a small bar but they let the liquor license expire, used to be a hot tub and they filled it in so no longer available.

Didn't realize this hotel didn't have an elevator and had my elderly father with us. Only room was upstairs. No cups in the room or ice bucket. No conditioner in shower. Didn't bring clean towels. Not staying there again. Stop being cheap and naming it eco friendly.

The property was under renovation, which I didn't know when I made the reservation on line. If I had known that, I wouldn't have chosen this property. Not a very pleasant sight to have a dumpster full of old mattresses and furniture just outside the door! Our room looked as if it was partially redone, but most of it was worn and shabby. It was very clean, though.

I thought it was misleading that they said they had a hot tub. It was covered up with a flooring and had not been working for months. No clock in the swimming area to be able to tell time. Carpet area in lobby had holes in it. The drawers of the dresser half worked. The service was great, but it appears they were short staffed. Complimentary breakfast was good.

This motel is under rennovation/construction. I did see one comment mentioning this, but it was from early August and I thought it would be done. Nope! The parking area was full of dumpsters, stacks of building supplies, etc. as were the hallways inside. A complete mess. The workers were in the lobbby and I had to yell at the desk clerk (who was very helpful and friendly) in order to be heard. We were assigned a room which hadn't been cleaned yet. We were then assigned the room next door which was clean but the desk clerk had to remove some building materials. There were 2 refrigerators and one microwave in the room... none of which seemed to work. The new lamps were still wrapped in plastic and didn't have lightbulbs. The TV wasn't hooked up properly. We eventually figured it out. We had to go back to the front desk for cups and hand towels. I really don't think the staff had any idea what rooms were ready for guests, were still being worked on, etc. We booked this hotel because it had high ratings. I'm sure at one time it was just fine, and I'm hoping it will be again. but it's not now. Oh.. several people mentioned the lovely breakfast. No... it was awful. Dried up scrambled eggs.... only a few pieces of bread to make toast, etc. Plus -- the beds really WERE comfortable, as a few reviews mentioned. But really.... if you are looking for a hotel in Cedar Falls, Iowa... keep scrolling.

Stayed for a week. Housekeeping removed our soap and cleaning supplies from the bathroom. Pillows are less and desirable and one on each bed was shredded foam in a pillowcase (too many washings?) Staff was not congenial. I always felt like we were a bother to them.

There was food and an empty Gatorade bottle under a bed (we weren’t looking, just couldn’t miss it). 150 people checked out before we checked in, but with six hours to do it right, it should have been done right.

The breakfast was really good and in a good location. When we got into our room, it did not appear housekeeping had been done. There was a used bar soap and shampoo in the shower, the wrapper to the soap was on the floor of the bathroom, there were doritos on the floor next to the bed and a jelly bean on the other side of the bed. They also didn't replace the soap or the shampoo that was in the shower.

We reserved 2 rooms and upon entering one of the rooms, it had never gotten cleaned after the previous guest. There were towels on the bathroom floor and the beds were not made. Luckily the person at the desk was helpful and they moved us to a different room. The other room had obviously not been vacuumed as there was paper and a piece of candy on the carpet and there was hair and paper on the bathroom floor. The facet was barely attached to the sink, 2 outlets did not work and the main light switch to the room did not work. We stayed at this same hotel 6 months prior and conditions were much better then.

The drain pipe under the sink was disconnected so water went all over the floor. We asked twice to have it fixed and no one came. We caught the water with the garbage can. There were crumbs and four dirty socks under the bed and a blood stain on the comforter.

The hotel is quite nicely kept and clean. The entry way is rustic and cozy. Rooms are pretty small but clean. The service was very pleasant as well. Breakfast was good but the eating area is very small and a bit cramped. It is set back from the main highway and road so it is also very quiet.

So, we stayed during June which is A hot month, the air conditioning was barely working and we were so overheated . So we asked the front desk for help, They said sorry there's nothing we can do. So we had to go to target to buy 2 large box fans because it was so hot in there we couldn't sleep.

Breakfast was absolutely horrible. Few options available. Hotel is extremely outdated. Microwave in room barely worked. Pool only, no hot tub. Only two of four staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. Upon check-in, we were not provided breakfast times or check out time. Definitely could use some updates and some customer service training for a few of the front desk employees. On the plus side, room was clean and location is close to a lot of things.

Wonderful customer service, Justin at the front desk is friendly, and goes above and beyond to help customers. Anna is friendly, too. It is an overall nicely kept hotel. Clean and comfortable.

Staff was very helpful. Lost my cell phone. Room phone was dirty and didn’t work. But front desk let me use her cell phone. Breakfast looked good but I had other plans. Convenient to UNI. Prefer the Holiday Inn but very nice alternative for the price.

It's at a very convenient location. You have gas station, shopping, and dining all in the same area. They don't have an elevator, it wasn't an inconvenience for us, but I know it can be for others! Check out time states 12:00pm which is great!

I liked the quietness of the hotel. The room was nice and clean. Some down sides were the breakfast. We went down at 8:15 AM and there we no plates, no cups left for the waffles so used juice cup to fill, no smaller cups for syrup....had to go ask for plates. The breakfast area is congested and awkward to get around. There wasn't any pastries left. The blow dryer in my room did not work and they did not have anything for me to use. I have long hair and thus had to go with wet hair. They should have one for people to use if the one in the room doesn't work. Disappointed in that and the breakfast but the room was great otherwise.
