Listing indicated that there would be laundry facilities, but the very rude desk attendant declared that there were none. There was no elevator for those of my party that had accessibility needs. And the customer service agent was condescending and misogynist toward our female party members who did breakfast was also dried out and or stale

We were in town for a dance weekend. This place is all we are looking for. It was easy to drive to and from venue. The room was clean, truly non smoking. Needs some areas of fixing, but nothing that was an inconvenience. Breakfast was simple, and good. Located next to shopping and eating places. The price was good. Safe place.

Except for the lack of elevator, it was excellent.

The room temperature in both rooms were cold. Tstat was raised to 80 degrees and room did not warm up during the 2 day stay. Fan speed would not increase. Room card key was not correct on check in and was returned to fix. Next day room key did not work again.

I liked that it's close to my relatives. I didn't like the noisy air conditioner on the ceiling. The grout in the bathroom is dirty (poorly applied). No elevator! I had to manage a huge suitcase to the second floor. The staff was ok (no complaints). I cancelled my reservation after one night.

Horrible experience. OK then walk down the hallway because there’s rolls of carpet and rollaway beds. Two girls thought outside my room slapping each other around calling names. My roommate called 911. Screaming hollering it was horrific and the ground is very unsafe. It’s not level. The concrete is not put together like it should be at the entrances and it’s not safe to walk. Be careful.

Horrendous maintenance. From the giant potholes in the parking lot to the toilet wouldnt flush. Numerous signs of incompetence throughout this dirty place.

One of our beds was broken and tipped when sat on the end. There was no ice at the hotel. The juice machine was not working.

The hotel didn't quite match the photos. They had baggage carts but no elevator. Stairs only. It was dirty. The bathroom floor hadn't been cleaned in quite some time, especially behind the door. The carpets were dirty, and I saw an earring back in the living area. Breakfast was just as questionable. There was butter but no bread or bagels or anything. Yogurt cups & dry cereal. With a gallon jug of milk that everyone handled and shared. Kinda gross. The lids didn't fit the coffee cups. Nothing else for breakfast. The personnel were friendly and kind.

Extremely dirty , carpet in hallway was not vacuumed in a long time . We got to our room and mirrors were so dirty , the bathtub and shower curtain were filthy , we wouldn't use it . The beds were clean and comfortable . I would not stay again . I did not complain because I just wanted a place o sleep after granddaughters' graduation .

Room was dirty, beds not made the towels and shower curtain were dirty, there was a bag over the smoke alarm, and when brought to the front desk attention nothing was done.

Absolutely disgusting! All they did was make the beds and spray some fabreeze. The floors, bedding, counters and fixtures were so dirty and gross. It looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. The mirror, doors and walls were disgusting. There’s also paint chips and speckles on everything. The ironing board had smeared boogers on it. The desk, dresser and nightstand had dried sticky residue. This place deserves 0 stars. I even found mouse poop. The check-in staff was sitting in the lobby on his phone when I arrived. I greeted him first and was at the counter before he even stood up. He said nothing at all, didn’t even explain breakfast times or anything at all. It was also noisy as heck!! You could hear the TV and people in the next rooms until almost 3am. For a place that has 300 rooms and not many guests you could at least clean a freaking room and space out people. DONT STAY HERE.

The room was so dirty. The carpet needs to be cleaned. Dirty behind end tables, bed, desk. Bathroom was ok but could tell it needed vacuumed. Space under the door. Overall it was terribly dirty.

This entire stay was a disaster. I knew it was older and outdated bc of the photos, but given we didn’t have many options bc of weekend event in the area, it wasn’t a big deal. At first glance, it looked ok. Beds were made and it wasn’t terrible. I walked into the bathroom and it was obvious it had not been cleaned. There was hair all over the bathtub and on the shower walls. The toilet did not flush. There was an insanely annoying buzzing sound about every minute that went on all night in or around the desk. (We looked but could not find where it was coming from.) The tv was glitching and remote did not work so it stayed on all night. (Idk why I didn’t just think to unplug it—that was my fault, but should I even have to?) I asked for a different & clean room, the man said they did not have any other rooms. I asked him to come and clean the bathroom. He showed up 10 mins later with a plastic glove, removed SOME of the hair, and no cleaning supplies. The wall was stained with hair color from hair left there. I asked him to properly clean & not just remove the hair, and all he kept saying was “Sorry, ma’am.” After a horrible nights rest bc of buzzing sound, I went to the front desk to check out & discuss all the issues. While discussing, another lady approached as well saying their bathroom was equally as dirty with hair all over it. We bought baby wipes so we would not have to shower there. There wasn’t any effort to make anything right. Pay the extra $ and stay elsewhere!

I wouldn’t recommend this place. It’s not clean at all. No electric plugin to use. They are all just basically for the tv, and the refrigerator . Then by the bed they use a drop cord. Smoke alarm is taken apart from the wall and part is laid behind the tv, bathtub hasn’t been cleaned for months,refrigeraytor was dirty the mirrors hasn’t been cleaned for months. It was very filthy. I took pictures and talked to them about the room . Of course they don’t understand English well. They kept say oh redoing the rooms. They charge me a deposit for the room . They said I wouldn’t be charged until when I check out and nothing damage. They lied about it. On my mobile bank app showed they already took it out . When I confronted them they tried to tell me o it hasn’t. They won’t listen to what I would say or ask them.

Cleanliness is definitely something to work on, other than that, everything else was fine.

The room was nasty dirty, garbage behind fridge, chair, nothing was dusted, no TV unless you want to pay for it. Furniture was dirty microwave was not cleaned out that greasy in the back and on the sides towels were dirty think had food or blood in it there is spots on the wall by the sink, sheets were dirty and comforters were stained. We walked in and pretty much walked out after we took video and pictures and left the building. I would not recommend this place at all oh yeah and on top of it it has bed bugs.

Carpet was stained, bugs in the room, tv did not work, air conditioner sounded like malfunctioning rattling jet engine and blew warm air, shower did not work, toilet was clogged, hair dryer did not work, mold growing in the bathroom, smelled awful! DO NOT STAY HERE EVER!!!

The tv had direct Tv and inly 1 channel worked, front desk came to check it , he couldn’t fix it and left, also there was a plastic bag taped over the smoke alarm and when I mentioned it he did t seem to care. We then told him we were not staying and wanted to cancel and get a refund.

Always feel safe in Cedar Falls. TV was very unreliable. Not staffs fault at all but perhaps Direct TV should not be their carrier.

The bed was a queen size and my wife and I rolled to the middle. It was kind of uncomfortable to keep trying to get back to the side of the bed.

The rooms are unique with large interior windows.

No thermostat in the room. Had an individual space heater to keep room warm.

We had asked twice before arriving for a ground floor due to mobility issues, but only received a 2nd floor. We also had to have staff come up to address TV not working and Microwave/Freezer issues... Staff, however, was able to address all issues & correct them

False fire alarm on the third night with no intervention with management to the guests and the hotel was far from being full. Condition of room was just okay and the mattress was old and very uncomfortable. Would mot stay at this hotel again.

My reservations were cancelled two days before by text saying they ran out of the room I booked and paid for a month earlier. After calling and complaining they hooked me up with a single bed. When I got to my room I found it to be dirty, the fire alarm wasnt there, the lock on the door was not there, and the air conditioning unit did not work. I asked for another room and they said sorry and I could check out for a refund. Not a good experience at all.

The young lady at the fron desk when I checked in was outstanding. I had to call the motel for directions because my GPS was wrong and this lady got me on the right path in a very accommodating way. And when I arrived at the motel she was so pleased that she could help me. I forgot her name, but this was about 4:30 PM on August 17th. She deserves a r.aise. I have traveled all over the world for years and this young lady was as good as any desk clerk I have ever encountered. Thanks.

Picked this place trying to save a buck so I didn’t expect a lot but they did not meet the very low bar I’d set for it. No staff anywhere to be found. There was a bunch of junk lying around at the front desk. No lights on in the entry way. Very dark, dank, run down. They put a $100 deposit on my credit card even though Id already paid. I cant think of anything I could possibly have broken there worth $100. Room was freezing. I turned the “heater” on. It only blew cold air all night long. It looked like they were in the middle of a remodel at least I hope they were. Sheets smelled clean despite being covered in stains. Didnt bother to turn the TV on or take a shower. Would gladly have traded the $20 I saved on literally any other hotel in town.

What I liked was the friendly staff. They made me feel as if I was part of their family. As I sat eating breakfast I noticed that the experience was not unique to me. I noticed the same friendly conversation with other guests. They asked about family members and how they are doing. That was very impressive! That atmosphere does not exist in most hotels that I have stayed in. The industry is about hospitality and that is what I experienced. I was in town for the high school playoffs and if our team makes it again I already know what hotel I will book with. Last but not least a special thank you to the staff member who helped my nephew make waffles, he is still talking about it! A place where children are welcomed and not treated like they are a pain…lol! I most certainly will return!!!

Check in was at 3pm. We arrived at 4 and they stated that our room was not ready. We went and ate. Called and they said give us another 45 minutes. We did and then they wanted another 39 minutes. We finally got in room at 8:25pm. Only offer was if we return, they would give us a free room. WOW

There were 4 of us but only 2 towels and wash cloths. Called the desk for more towels and wash cloths. Kiki said she eould send some up but no one ever showed. Made getting ready for the 4 of us a challenge.

Upon arrival they did not have a room available. They said they would refund the price of the room and never did. The experience was horrible and unprofessional.

Overall not bad. Tv did not work and the heater was not the best. Quiet room. Good location.

Out back in the smoking area the neighboring business Dunkin donuts always has traffic.

The front desk lady that checked us in was amzing. She was kind, respectful, and very kind. The room price was very affordable. Very limited breakfast. Waffles, juice, cereal and toast and fresh fruit. The room was clean but it definitely a much older proprty. We had to plung our toilet everytime we flushed. It seemed to be an outsidd facing motel at one point in time and then they closed it off. But thats just my guess. Staff was great!

Dirty worn out room. Head hair and pubic hair in the tub and bathroom. No pancake mix or milk or hot water for oatmeal. Juice was watered down. Management refused to bring out any more milk. It's a cheap place but you get what you pay for. Be prepared.

Breakfast area was very messy and unclean. Lobby was run down. Linens and towels were good.

There were several concerning things about this property. There was a huge brown stain on the floor by the bed. The stain reeked of cigarette smell. The lampshade on the desk was broken and had been set directly on the light bulbs - a potential fire hazard. The smoke detector was hanging from the upper wall by the wires - not sure if it would have worked in case of a fire. The mirror on the bathroom door was filthy. The phone in the room appeared to have scorch marks on it. The metal Kleenex box covering was full of rust spots. The sink leaked A LOT, all over the floor. When I contacted the person at the desk about the leaking sink, he said, "What do you want me to do about it?" I was stunned at his comment! I asked for another room, but he said there weren't any other rooms (I'm not sure if that was accurate or not). He brought us more towels to mop up all the water and gave us a $5 bill as compensation. We put a wastebasket under the sink to catch all the water that was leaking. We did NOT shower the next morning as the tub looked rather grimy. There were very limited breakfast items, plus a broken juice machine. We went to a restaurant for breakfast, after we checked out. Will NOT stay there again!

Asked operator the night before about breakfast time. He said 6 am. By the time I left at 6:30 , no one was there to bring breakfast.

This place was filthy: no carpeting had been vacuumed in ages, windows were very dirty, in the room, the furniture was dusty, the mirror was dirty, the paint was brushed here & there on the towel bar and dripped on the carpet, the TV remote didn't work, even after they put in "new" batteries, in the breakfast, the coffee was out and the pancake batter was out, leaving almost nothing. For the price, we expected clean and just a modest breakfast.

Not a good value for the price. Hotel needs updating. Our room did not seem very clean. The carpet looked dirty and there were tiny ants in the bathroom. There was no milk for breakfast so no one could have cereal. The best part of breakfast was the red velvet waffle. Next time, I'll stay at the Black Hawk like we usually do when in Cedar Falls.
