Kids loved the pool, breakfast was good

Good location but steps no elevator, no pool, guest restroom off main lobby was closed and breakfast waffle maker was out of order

Breakfast area could of been cleaner, just run down and out of date. Bathroom was kind of dingy, just needs a cleaning and paint job. Bed was comfortable, thank goodness! Hotel doesnt have a elevator or hot tube, so those are 2 cons. Overall, it was decent and price was good. I would stay again if needed

Several members of my family stayed over the weekend. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The pool was clean and felt great on a hot day.

This is a great little hotel. It is not fancy, but is clean, quiet, friendly, and has a very nice breakfast with lots of variety. It even has a pool. I would definitely stay here again!

Had a very nice swim in the pool. It was lovely and warm. There was no plug for the bath tub so, although I prefer baths, had to shower.

Rooms were clean. Pool was closed for cleaning, not hotels fault. It was back open in the morning

The pool was pretty dirty. My bathroom was moldy and smelled of mold. The room itself was clean and the staff was nice.

No elevator. 2 floors. Needs exterior door maintenence. No liners in ice bucket or trashcans. Beds cheap.

Rented 2 rooms. One had pieces of candy/food on the floor under the beds. The one room didn't have a working tv. The other room had a broken shower head. Was not able to find staff to let them know of these things.

Roaches in our room. I emailed the supervisor and sent pictures and she never returned any of my calls or emails. Front desk gave me a full refund but I still wanted to speak with a supervisor to make sure they were aware and do something about it. Pool was warm.

Our room was on the first floor & there was a damp feeling to the whole floor. Our room smelled musty & damp. There was high humidity in the room & we needed to keep the air conditioner on high to dry the room out. Even our clothes on hangers felt damp.

The bed was comfy, but needs better pillows. The room needed a good cleaning. Chair dirty with sauce on the arm. There was hair in the sheets of the bad. Yuck! The carpet was dirty.

My wife was bitten from bedbugs. They must have been in the bed she slept in. I didn’t get bite only her. It was an ok room and ok in general.

The room smelled of mildew and mold. Strongly smelled of mildew and mold. I kept the window open all night on a first floor unit. The sink and shower drains were clogged. The water was ankle deep in the shower when I finished my shower. The shower had not drained by the time I finished breakfast and even when I checked out. The side outside door by my room would not lock. Between the open door and the open window, I didn’t feel safe. The breakfast food kept running out and it wasn’t that busy; staff was inattentive. I’ve stayed in more than three dozen different motels/hotels this past year. This was, overall, the absolute worst. I could hardly wait to get out. I’ve had weirder, but not as bad.

Easy to access off HWY 20. Short drive to UNI. Friendly staff Musty smell. Carpet and bedding felt damp or greasy. Sink did not drain properly. Mattress very soft

I am not a picky traveler and have never written a bad review before but I want others to avoid my mistake. I checked into the hotel for a 2 night stay. When I entered the room, the musty odor was overpowering and the carpets, furniture, and bedding were wet with humidity. 3 hours of running the air at full speed had not removed any of the moisture from the room. Even placing a towel on the couch before sitting on it, my clothes were wet when I stood up and smelled musty. The couch, pillows, and bedding smelled moldy/musty. Bathroom smelled strongly of urine. Due to a mold allergy I was coughing and congested within 3 hours, and my eyes started burning when I walked in the room. The hallways were also musty smelling and smelled of cigarette smoke despite the hotel claiming it was 100% smoke-free. I reported my dissatisfaction to the front desk and was told that they could give me a fan. I said I was unable to stay due to a mold allergy. I told them I realized I would not get a refund for the first night, but requested a refund for the second night. They said I had to go through hotels.com to request a refund. I filed a complaint with hotels.com and they requested a refund on my behalf, which was denied by Super 8. I'm not sure how this hotel gets an 8.4 review. I would not recommend staying here.

Where do I begin, do not stay here as the hotel is very dirty and had to cancel room same day as arrival as it wasn't even cleaned as q tips, combs, etc. on the floor. Mirror not attached, sheets dirty. In all my years never checked in at a place this dirty. Terrible, just terrible conditions is all I can say!

Small tv, poor condition furniture

The room was very clean and spacious. Staff was friendly, heat/ air conditioning worked very well. Only thing we didn't like were the small pillows on the bed.

Clean room, stayed one night. Beds are okay, tiny pillows. Overall worked for a night.

Very clean, nice hot water, good breakfast. Our king bed was to soft for us and kind of worn out and we wish we would’ve had another blanket but overall nice for the money.

The room was very clean. However, the chairs in the room were VERY worn. The easy chair looked like a cat had scratched it into shreds on the arm. Also, the blanket had cigarette burns at the bottom. Room 221.

I needed a room as I had been driving all day. I was exhausted. The hotel staff were friendly- the hotel is very outdated. The bed was super comfortable. Room smelled old but other than that for the price it worked great!

I was given a room on the first floor that smelled like moldy as if it had been flooded previously. Additionally, I paid in-full via Orbitz but was subsequently billed twice more (so triple billed). The triple billing has not yet been resolved. I would avoid this property.

Super fast check in. When we left and came back our tv didn’t work the front desk came right up and fixed it. She was awesome!

Clean rooms, friendly staff and good breakfast.

Our stay started out fine the first night, however, upon returning to the hotel for our 2nd night stay we were locked out. When we inquired at the desk we were told by Brody that we had only paid for 1 night not 2. I told him I had a paid receipt for two nights that I would show him if we could get into our room. He said we could not get into our room to get the receipt or to get our things without payment. He then made a phone call, came back with our room key and said he had taken care of it. The next morning I checked my credit card and there was a new charge for $360 (two nights room charge). I again went to the front desk and spoke with a manager, Rachelle, who finally did apologize and said the charge had been removed but it would take 5-7 days for the credit to show up on my account. Too bad an otherwise ok hotel stay was ruined by this situation and handled rather poorly by an uninterested and poorly trained night hotel staff member. Very stressful for this occasional traveler.

Staff quoted one rate then charged a different rate and manager showed no concern and refused to honor the rate the staff quoted and offered no resolution but to cancel and go somewhere else.

I waited 10 minutes to check in with a staff person, not seeming to know what to do with the customer in front of me. He didn’t greet me when I came in or say anything while I waited patiently. He needs some customer service skills.

Staff was excellent, very helpful. Breakfast is an average hotel breakfast. Cleanliness was good except for the big black hairs on the side of the shower wall. It is not a 5 star hotel, but it is above average for cleanliness and comfort and is in a convenient location. Would stay here again. Reasonably priced.

It was awful . The room was so humid we couldn’t get dry and all of our clothes remained damp. We got locked out of our room and the room hadn’t been cleaned. We went to the front desk at 10 pm. No one was there. There was a sign they would be back in 10 minutes. We waited 20 and called the police. They wouldn’t do anything unless we had a child or pet locked in a room. After 30+ minutes the worker came on and insisted she had only been gone 10 minutes. A mann out her who didn’t work there said he couldn’t believe we got the”cops involved.” Something wasn’t right. She wouldn’t give us towels until we brought the dirty ones back. Eventually she did but refused to give us wash cloths. She was so rude and insisted we had put a sign out. Never ever again! No compensation. We were there 3 nights!!

The front desk personnel are just the most helpful and cheerful people I've ever dealt with.

This is a great hotel at a bargain price! The desk clerk, Brodie, was efficient, quick to check us in and took time to describe everything we could expect at this hotel: bottles of water & fresh fruit all night. He enthusiastically recommended this Super 8 location as one of the best! The room was very clean, spacious & had a nice sized bathroom. The shower was excellent. Quiet location & comfortable bed. Breakfast had numerous hot & cold food selections, i.e. eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, yogurt, juices, pastries etc. The staff was great upon check out. Would definitely stay there again!

Clean and updated rooms, decent continental breakfast, helpful staff but the parking lot is shady with drug deals happening and the rooms are beginning to show some wear.

It is in the perfect spot for getting on and off highway 20. And just up the road a bit is a shopping area, with food places and stores.

The property was clean and the service was great. The only downside was the construction on the road in front of the hotel.

This Super 8 is a very nice property. It's super clean and comfortable, and close to the main highway. There's good space for dog-walking, too.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. Staff were friendly, and very helpful. The room was clean, but there was a musty smell in the room. Not sure if this was do to the room being located above the pool. The breakfast had something for everyone which was very appreciated. I also enjoyed the convenience of the location right off the interstate and the parking lot. We would definitely stay here again if we are back in Cedar Falls.

This site has lots of shopping and food options near by, fairly quite no road noise inside the rooms, super clean , nice breakfast selection.

Breakfast was excellent! Room was very clean. Pool was warm. Front desk clerks were very helpful and informative. One of the better Super 8 we have stayed in. I highly recommend it!

The room was very clean. The AC was on low, but the room was pretty cold. It was hard to get the room to a comfortable temp. Breakfast had a fairly good variety, but the hot food ran out quickly, and the eggs tasted fake. The bed was not very comfortable. I liked that the bathroom had a fan.

Exterior trash cans over flowing. Trash on ground around facility. No bags in dog area for poop. Light switches in room were dirty and bath needs to recailled. Breakfast wasn’t very tasty. Rooms need furniture and mattresses updated. But the room rate was within our budget and pet friendly.
