I had a great stay in Cedar Falls at the Country Inn and Suites! The place is quiet, staff were friendly, and I enjoyed a nice soak in the (clean) hot tub after a long day. Breakfast included, so this was a great value, too.

We and 4 other guests got chlorine poisoning from the pool. Emptied out eyes burning when we entered the pool area but within 10 minutes, our 8 year old first threw up pink phlegm then it moved to full vomiting just as the front desk clerk was coming into the pool area. One of the other guests left to complain about the chlorine. The employee took my 8 year old out while I went to guide my disabled husband out. The employee told us she would call maintenance about the pool. I looked up our symptoms, chlorine poisoning. The advice wa to call poison control so I did. Be very careful using the pool at this hotel!!

Nice updated room and breakfast was decent. Cleaning of the room was not so great, basically only cleaned where you can see without moving anything, so stuff by the curtains, backside of garbage cans, and corners of room. The pool and hottub was great the first night, other than the chlorine is a bit intense, 2nd night pool was colder and hottub wouldn't stay hot either.

Great location. We stayed for a UNI football game. Beautiful weather & so we had a great walk to the UNIdome. It is about 1.5 miles so if it's real cold, maybe not but it's an easy walk. The hotel is overall nice. There were some dead bugs in the hot tub. The jets were extreme & shot out cold water. Still a nice stay & the pool was fine and enjoyable.

In town with my daughter and her friend. Room was great, with updated decor that looked great and was very clean. Great pool for teenagers and i was very excited to see a working spa next to the pool for me to relax it!! We will definitely stay again!

This hotel chain is excellent but this location told us at check-in that the cable is out. Since we were staying 2 days I asked when it would be fixed. Didn’t know, been out for days. Sure enough, got 1 analog station for the entire weekend. Made for boring nights with no TV to watch. We were gone during the day but would have appreciated TV at night. Second, our last night there we thought we’d kill time in the hot tub. Nope. They allowed a pool party, which is fine, except they gave them from the start of the party till close of the pool at midnight. We went down a couple of times, last time at 11:10pm to check, and the pool and hot tub was full of people drinking. Not supposed to have food/beverages in the pool area and the front desk told us that the kids had to be out at 11pm. Nope. Kids still everywhere and adults drinking, pool pretty full and hot tub definitely full. We never got to use it. We were pretty disgusted with this trip.

Cable box stopped working had to move rooms, got charge for whole price. Not offered discount. Had a 2 bed queen room handicap accesible room, all the had was a king bed and pull out couch bot handicap accessible avaliable , breakfast consisted of eggs and bacon, silk milk, limited on juice choices. Hot tuub was cold and sign saying has to warm up. Webt to front desk asked her what is the deal she said everyone is using the hot water, hot tub has to warm up!? Umm i have never heard that before theres always been a heating element for a hot tub.

Cable was horrible. Room appeared clean till I moved the furniture back to where it belonged. Laminate flooring so furniture was easily moved. All kinds of crumbs, nuts and chips all over under the furniture. Bed was very comfortable, but needed to be vacuumed under. Bathroom clean. Breakfast was good...

This hotel is very nice. Clean, well kept, was decorated nicely for the holidays. Room was very comfortable. The hotel lacks an unloading area at the front door. Too bad because there is room by the front door for this. Other than that, the place is excellent.

Check in was smooth. Our first room had obviously not been cleaned, the bed was unmade, the bathroom had trash in it and used towels on the floor. We were given a second room, which was clean, but no tv remotes and two burnt outlight bulbs. We were given one tv remote but the bulbs were never replaced. We asked for a discount on our room several times and no manager was ever present and no compensation was given. The breakfast was decent and the property was well kept and conveniently located. Expected better service for the price.

The hotel was clean and breakfast was very good, but the walls were so thin we could not sleep. We could hear every footstep in the hallways above our rooms to the point where it caused the room to shake all night. We had two rooms and both had the same issue. We had a white noise machine running and could still not dampen the noise.

I loved that the beds had several pillows. It was fairly quiet all night. The tub and shower were showing age. The shower head was all corroded and didn't really spray water fully. The tub didn't drain well and was rusted around the fixtures. The morning breakfast was fantastic!

Unfortunately this hotel is made/built from wood. Unfortunately I was not able to get a room on the top floor. Above me, I had an elephant that woke up every morning at 5:15 AM walking back and forth, back and forth. Irritating.

I wasn’t going to say anything about my stay but I got thinking & it really got me to worry. When I got there to check in it was around 11pm & no one was at the front desk. Plus the phone was ringing & there were people waiting, needing to get a new room card. Then about 10 minutes later 2 women pulled up to the front of hotel. Both were employees. What if there was an emergency & no one was there? I’m very concerned

Cable system was down (did not matter to me) at check-in. However, 3 days later, staff insisted on access to the room (despite having do not disturb sign on door and was sleeping) to install a cable box. Complete disregard for traveler and when I indicated that you could install it in the room once I check out, staff member indicated he HAD to get it done that day. Staff did not attempt to find a time that would work for me, nor did they notify me at check-in that they would randomly present themselves and force me, the traveler, to accommodate them at the cost of my schedule. There are almost endless hotels of similar quality and costs out there that I will use from now on. If you care about the intrusiveness of staff and disregard for the traveler, you will be fine here. Otherwise, I would encourage others to look elsewhere where the staff appreciate and respect the traveler.

Stay was great! We were in town for a bowling tournament. Check in was fast and easy. Front desk attendant was super helpful. Huge shout out to the young man who was breakfast attendant. He was a super hard worker keeping everything stocked and tidy. Best hotel breakfast we've ever had.

The overall stay was fine, however, the fire alarms went off in the middle of the night because someone pulled the fire alarm. It was very much an inconvenience and I realize it was outside of their control, but when checking out they didn’t ask how our stay was or apologize for the inconvenience or anything and I think that was very poor customer service. It was the first time I have stayed at a Country Inn & Suites and most likely my last.

The lobby was very welcoming, with the fire place going, and cookies for guests. The service at the front desk was wonderful. Our room was very clean, updated, and had everything we needed. However the floors made a lot of noise and we could hear the people above us much more than we wanted to. The breakfast was ok when compared to other chain hotels. It had the warm and cold options you would expect. Overall our stay was nice and we would stay there again because of the friendly service, clean accommodations, and the complimentary cookies were a nice touch!

It was a convenient spot near various restaurants and easy access to places because of its proximity to University Avenue. If you need to go to UNI also convenient. It was super busy because of lots of events taking place for the weekend- Waterloo Golf Open, trap shooting, football, etc. The pool was packed and kids were in the hot tub.

The hotel is in a great location with good access to University of Northern Iowa. there are many dining options. within a short drive. The property is being updated. and was in nice condition. The downside for me is the property. is not cast concrete. So it is easy to hear the people above and below you.

Staff was friendly, room was very clean with lots of towels, pool was open, and my family enjoyed the hot well stocked breakfast. The lady working in the breakfast area even asked my kids if they wanted it turned to cartoons instead of the news. Will definitely stay here again!

Would not recommend regardless of price and convenience. Stayed the Tue- Sat because it was close to work event. Breakfast each day was just horrible and never opened up on time. Rooms are noisy. You can hear everything. Very disappointed

This was a very very nice hotel. Breakfast was amazing with lots of choices and was clean & stocked well. The staff from from desk to house keeping were very helpful and considerate. The pool and hot tub was nice and clean-however hot tub could have been warmer. Thank you for making are stay nice.

Excellent breakfast with many great choices. This is the first hotel I’ve seen with dairy free milk and many allergy friendly breakfast options. The cooked breakfast was also tasty. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub, and the rooms were very comfortable. The cot for baby was in good condition. Great value for money.
