The staff *Rachelle and CiCi) were VERY friendly and helpful! The lobby looked up to date and clean. However the rest of the building had an odd smell. The room was fine (2 queens) was mostly clean, but the stove top needed a deep clean. If you are looking for an extended stay due to housing the price is definitely right. Just be aware that, unlike other extended stays, you have to pay extra for pans and dishes. For a weekend or vacation, I wouldn't be likely to stay again. The photos online are obviouslyfrom when it was new. The room was very faded and older feeling. The doors to the pool area were blacked out, and the area is no longer in use. That was a disappointment, because having a pool was part of why I picked this place. Overall, the staff was FABULOUS, but we aren't likely to stay here again.

This was a good budget option for a one night stopover. The room had a full kitchen, but no silverware or dishes. There was a coffeemaker, but no coffee or filters. That was all rather odd, but considering that this is an extended stay motel that was merely renting an empty room to folks just passing through, it made sense. No desk clerk, just a phone, so had to wait quite a while to check in. Otherwise, a good stay.

The desk is manned only by one person at a time so if the desk attendant has to go somewhere else in the hotel for anything, you need to wait. While waiting to check in, another person at the desk said their room smelled like cat urine and was uninhabitable. Should have know then. The door from the parking lot was broken so it was propped open with a rock. Not at all secure for guests. We had to have our card key reset several times as they wouldn’t work regularly. The carpeting in the room was old and stained. When checking in, we added an extra night and was told by the desk clerk everything was taken care of - until neither key card worked on the extra day as it didn’t recognize our stay for the extra day. The desk clerk on duty at that time was a little rude when we tried to get the issue resolved. We have stayed at this property previously but this was the last time - ever!

We liked that the rooms were spacious, and checking in late went smoothly and was a quick process after paying online. The parking lot pot holes was a negative but otherwise we’ll continue coming back in the future!

I have stayed at many extended stays and this was by far the worst. The desk clerk was pleasant and it was cheap (comparatively speaking), beyond that very disappointing. There was nothing at all in the cupboards. Not a dish, pan, or even a spork. No paper towels. Only 2 disposable plastic cups with the plastic wrap torn and replaced. Made me wonder if they were just re-using them. I honestly don't think the bedding had been washed. Luckily, I was desperate and tired enough to not care at the time.

The lady at counter was very nice & friendly when greeted us when we arrived to checked in. After we went to our 1st room.. it was not clean. It smelled like lice spray & cigarettes. The room smelled badly, sticky stuff on floor & counters & gum stuck inside the drawers. Even the walls had food or something on them. Pillows were stained & gross. Stains all over carpet. Pistachio shells all over the floor by bed & 1 bed looked like it was slept in. The bathroom had pee on the floor. Empty water bottle behind chair in corner by bed. She moved us to different room. After moving to New room we had to ask for it to be cleaned as well. The floor needed vacuuming & chair needed sprayed & i wiped the bathroom counter with a kleenex & it was not cleaned. It had men's facial hair from shaving & nasty stuff on it. I took a video of it while doing it. The employee did what she could for us & I thanked her for that but the rooms are gross. Online advertised a pool & when we arrived we found out the pool is empty & not working since 2020. The advertised pillow top mattress is a very used thin added layer topper they add to the bed under the over sized low quality sheets. App will not let me add my photos.

They had bed bugs. I was bitten & noticed the bites while I was out for the day to go work. I called to speak to management and they told me she would call me back. She never did so I reached out to hotels.com and customer service reached out to the front desk to only be told I wouldn’t get a refund but moved to another room. When I got back to the hotel the front desk person said the manager said I couldn’t get refunded because I walked past the front desk on my way out with the bed bug bites and didn’t notify anybody which was a lie, I didn’t notice the bed bug bites until I left and started itching at work.

We checked into the property, went to our room, looked around and noticed it was not very clean. There were toe nail clippings on the floor, what looked to be boogers on the wall, blood on the lamp shade, and over all not clean at all. We decided to leave right away, and checked out. I stayed here as it was an affordable option, but regretted this choice right away. The lady at the front desk was friendly and apologized.

There was nobody at the front desk for check in, the rooms were filthy, smelled of smoke, the screens were ripped and the hallways were full of trash. The air conditioner and tv booth didn’t work and there was a toenail in my bed.

Room was dark. Carpet was dirty, one light hanging with wires coming out, only chair looked as if a cat used it for a scratching post, room card had to be changed twice because it quit working, toilet lid hung too close to the handle so had to remove lid to flush, closet with no hangers, bring your own. Overhead bathroom light burnt out. But they did provide two plastic cups & a small bar of soap. The entire place smelled of fried anything every evening due to construction or seasonal workers living there.

Smelled weed upon entering building, had to use phone at desk to get attendee. Had issues getting in the door. No kitchen ware in kitchenette, 2 tiny pillows on the bed, wall thermostat not working, unit in room worked ok. Tv stand appeared to be in the middle of being repaired as there was wood patch covering large corner. Stains on curtains. Left for dinner and upon return used phone at front desk again to ask for more pillows. Was told she would have to look for them and would bring to room. After waiting an hour called front desk from room as was told to come to front desk for them. Where they were just sitting at desk with no one there again. Noise level in room sounded like windows were open from the highway noise. Went to sleep. Woke up to try and take shower and find the spout of the tub not connected and water not able to be diverted to shower head. Then discovered no smoke detector in the room. Upon leaving finally someone actually at desk - explained the problems and while she wasn’t aware of the shower issue she was aware there was no smoke detector. With the hotel obviously not at capacity I am blown away that we would be put in a room where they new it had issues.

The check-in staff was friendly and efficient. It went downhill from there. The room's carpet and kitchen tile was very stained and dirty. The bathroom, however, was very clean. The room was extremely cold and the wall thermostat did not respond so we had to use the controls on the heater to get the room to a comfortable temp. The sheets and blanket on the bed were thin. No comforter. Only three pillows for a king bed. No shampoo or conditioner in the room. Even though there is a "kitchen" in the room, no dishes or utensils are provided. The cabinets were outdated and in need of repair. The cost of the room was less than $100 - I guess you get what you pay for. However, it was quiet but then there wasn't many people staying there.

We were in a room that smelled horribly . Not sure if someone died in it or if it was dirty carpet or why it was so bad, but trust me it was nasty. Also, the heat/air didnt work well and the tv didnt work at all. The ONLY reason we kept the room was that we were in town for a surprise party and we were only in the room to sleep for a few hours before leaving town. I would NOT recommend this place and we stayed there when it opened a few years ago and loved it. Sad to say it went way downhill.

My stay at Suburban Studios Cedar Falls was disappointing. Upon arrival at 3:30, 30 minutes after check-in, our room was in disarray—AC unit dismantled, bed bare, and coffee maker in the sink. Despite seeking assistance, the unattended front desk offered little help, leaving us to wait 30 minutes for a partially cleaned room. The facility seemed more suited for long-term stays, evident in worn-out fixtures, No cover in the overhead lights, a bed side lamp that didn’t even work, and no phone in the room to call for service. Service inconsistency reached new heights when we returned at 9. An almost-empty toilet paper roll, two pillows (pictures online showed 4 pillows on the bed) that could double as bricks, and a front desk MIA. Attempts to rectify this situation were met with annoyance, as we were directed to a public bathroom down the hall. The perpetually absent front desk left only an on-call phone as our companion, emphasizing their stellar customer service. Each time we went by the front desk (during their open hours) there was never anyone there and you had to use the on call phone. Throughout the night, disruptive noise and a pervasive cigarette odor permeated the hallways. Security concerns arose with a faulty door latch, requiring constant jiggling to secure. Unfortunately, the overall experience fell far short of expectations, emphasizing the need for significant improvements in both service and facility maintenance.

The stay was o.k. Had stain in the tub. They charge your account $100 the day you start your stay and tell you they will credit it back but still haven't received it back.3 days later. Was no one there when we tried to check out. Waited over an hour for someone to show and had quite a lineup of people waiting.

Keys get deactivated so easy and after 7pm no staff on duty. Use the house phne to get someone but nobody answered. I was locked out of hotel for 3 hours. Not returning.

I have stayed there in the past. It's a nice clean hotel and reasonably priced. It is in a convenient location and the accommodations are clean and comfortable. The only downside was the front desk wasn't always manned and they closed and locked the door at 8 o'clock which I thought was a little early.

Close to Target/Scheels shopping area. Very inexpensive and is in a safe area. One negative was the bathroom we had may have had mold growing on the ceiling. Besides that, it was well worth staying here again. Staff was friendly just like my first time here.

I felt unsafe staying at this hotel. People were constantly loitering both outside and inside at late hours. I got back about 9:30 at night got and several people were hanging around in the parking lot and they n my foot there were people just sitting on the door in the hallway

The price was the only good thing about this property. Hallway smelled terrible! Room didn’t smell as bad but bathroom did. Probably because of no vent/air circulation. Giving up amenities like coffee, breakfast, etc for a lower price was okay but I wish I had believed the 4 star reviews, not the 10/10 reviews. Will never stay at Suburban Studio again!
