Hotel was under heavy construction, the lobby was completely closed off, had to use service elevators, no convenience store, and they still are charging a resort fee. The sound of the neighboring room lifting their blinds was so loud it scared us, and we kept being woken by our neighbors. Absolutely ridiculous for the price and I would have stayed at one of the many other hotels nearby if I'd known it was under so much construction.

Only 1 working elevator on what was one of the busiest weekends in the city was wild. At one point we timed a 5 minute wait for the elevator. And stairs were not an option bc they only open on the 1st floor to a creepy alleyway. Besides that, all the staff were plesant, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Being so close to the HoB makes this our go to hotel when seeing concerts.

I loved the fact that the hotel was right in downtown but it wasn’t as smooth of a check as I expected. First, there’s no real valet that comes to get your car. We parked out front. I went inside and I was told that they had valet. That caused us to scramble to get everything out of our car in front of the hotel so they could take the car of valet. We then realize that we left something in the car, my husband‘s glasses, and we need to get them right away. Luckily the car had been taken. It wasn’t very convenient plus I was charged $75 I was also under the impression that my room came with robes and slippers as stated in the description of the room. There were no robes and no slippers. Another issue was as we were getting ready to go to bed to pull the blinds down one of the blinds didn’t work and I proceeded to have to stand on top of the couch to pull the blind down to have privacy. When we are ready to leave, we were told to call a number on a valet ticket that we were given, every time we call the number it was busy. We finally called the front desk and they took care of it, don’t give us a phone number that doesn’t work. That didn’t seem logical at all. While the view was great, the bed was comfortable and the atmosphere was what I wanted. I was very letdown with the amenities of the room.

Hotel is excellent! Very nice room and furnishings. A little bit small, but not surprising for the area/age of building. A bit noisy from street noise/emergency vehicles, but again not surprising for area. It wasn't excessive, just not silent. Be warned that parking is expensive.

Hotel is worn and in need of a lot of updating. Bed sagged, shower curtain was dirty, ceiling in bathroom had spots, fan didn’t work, towels were not fresh and paper thin/ cheap, temp control thermostat didn’t work… Received no upgrades despite asking since our first room looked at heinous machinery. They were admittedly unaware of Expedia perks. Staff was very pleasant but still would not return to this property. Also the building is ony 6 floors so street noise can be a big problem.

Stay away!!! The 1st room i had at kinzie, there were hair strands all over the bed and the pillows were stained yellow! The 2nd room have stains on The bed skirts and permanent brown stains in the toilet, the wifi is TRASH also, please avoid

Great location, easy to walk to everything. Happy hour was a little misleading. Thought there was a bar in the hotel. Just wine and beer offered from 5-7pm. Also depending on what side of the building you are on, there was live music going on outside until 3am each night.

All staff were excellent. Friendly, efficient, responsive and helpful. Everyone! Two issues; WiFi frequently did not work and toilet got stopped up twice during our 5-day stay. They came right away each time to fix it, but still unpleasant. The toilets deem poorly designed. The location is ideal. We were able to walk just about everywhere. Again, stellar staff.

The property was in a great location, staff was amazing, free breakfast was great, however our room on the second floor faced an alley and resteraunt and the noise level was intolerable. Trash service in alley daily at 530 am, food delivery trucks, resteraunt operations, crowds and music until 2am, there was no rest in this room at all.

Such a hospitable staff! Deondre greeted us at check-in with warmth, hospitality and thoughtfulness. Deondre shared helpful information and took time to answer our questions upon arrival. He clearly loves his job and is great at his job! Also, thanks to other happy and hospitable staff. We enjoyed our stay!

My experience at Kinzie was unfortunately not a good one. I arrived at the hotel at 3pm to check in just to find out my room was not yet ready. It wasn’t a big deal because I need to do a tour anyways so I went and can’t back 3 hours later only to be told once again that my room (which was now a different room) still wasn’t ready and needed to wait 30+ minutes for the room. I ended up needing to take a different room that I booked with no view. No amenities were explained to me I was just given a key and told what the room number was.

The service throughout my stay was exceptional. Every staff member I interacted with was helpful and friendly, making me feel very welcome. This hotel is in a great location. It's walkable to many restaurants and other fun things to do in the city. We went to a Cubs game and were able to walk 5 minutes to the red line, which drops you off right at Wrigley field. I would definitely recommend staying here if you're going to a game but also want to stay in the city! This hotel offers amenities that others do not anymore - free breakfast and a daily complimentary happy hour! The rooms and rest of the property is kept clean, as well. Lastly, the staff is amazing! They were so helpful while we were there, but they also went above and beyond after checkout. I accidentally shipped some items to the hotel after we left, and they helped me reship it to my home! Fantastic customer service!! I will be a repeat customer just because of that! I would recommend anyone stay here - solo travelers, couples, and families!

The bed was super comfy like sleeping on a cloud, but I was not impressed by anything else. We had a room on the 2nd floor and it was so noisy early in the morning with garbage dumpsters in the alley. View was a brick wall. Also the “breakfast” was underwhelming. Some muffins. Cereal. Coffee was empty by 8:30. And the food stations and guests were crammed in a very tiny windowless room.
