I really enjoyed my stay here and would stay again. Some negatives that were minor to me, but may be important to you are: the pool and hot tub looked like they needed more attention, the gym had a funky smell, and breakfast was disappointing. Some very strong positives are: it was very quiet, safe, good location to go to Main Street but out of the hustle and bustle, very clean, staff was friendly, we enjoyed the whirlpool tub, staff gave us a paper to fill out if we needed anything done in our room and we had the option to have extra towels and things outside the room. The negatives were negligible to me as we had the whirlpool tub in our room we could use and we enjoyed breakfast at the local restraunts. When we come to Galena again we will stay here.

Indoor pool hot tub and water slide. Also a game room. Breakfast was great bacon eggs and a spot to make your own waffles. Fresh fruit yogurt bread bagels juices and milk coffee and tea. Entire property was very clean and quiet will definitely return

Its clean and comfortable bedrooms. The pool is not very big but it's ok. The only but that I saw was that the vending machines were damaged, they did not accept coins or debit cards.The breakfast has a variety of things.

The staff was very warm and helpful. Rooms were super clean. Only complaint is we were desperate for water (Christmas day and all stores closed) and every drink machine on every floor was broken. Not a deal breaker but more of an annoyance. Would definitely stay again on another trip out.

All facilities were up and running - great pool and spa. They have a good size water slide and an area for toddlers to play in the water. Room was comfortable and breakfast was very good. Would definitely stay here again. Everyone I met on staff was friendly and available to help in any way necessary.

Hotel was busy due to Spring Break celebrating families. This hotel is very family friendly as it offers a large indoor pool area with slides very popular with children! As busy as hotel was, staff did a great job of staying on top of cleanliness and included breakfast.

Pool was salt water, clean, and fun! Wasn’t crowded when we went. The water slide was even fun for the adults! Room was roomy. Shower pressure was great. Employees were all friendly and helpful!

The hotel is very clean, updated and well maintained. My bed was comfortable and had amazing shower pressure. My only issues were not that big of a deal. One was the wifi wasn’t the best, but that whole area has terrible service anyway. Second, my room was on the main level right by the breakfast area so was a little loud when people were hustling and bustling super early. I was only there for one night, if I were staying longer I would’ve requested a room change. Again those were minor issues. I enjoyed my stay overall.

Went for anniversary weekend so we got the whirlpool suite what a mistake. The whirlpool once we added the water it was clear as soon as we turned in the jets the water started to have a green tint and there was a yellowish brown scum line around it even before we were going to get in and the bubbles were brown. The pool area with the slide was nice.

A very nice property with friendly employees, pool and hot tub area kept clean, continental breakfast was good and hot with a great variety, and a great atmosphere. Our room did have a few large cobwebs in the corners which bothered me, but I would stay there again.

We encountered bedbugs during our stay at this hotel, which was very unfortunate, we are very disappointed. My wife and one of my kid had intense itching and irritation with it. Pros: - Pool area/ slide was a nice touch. Hot tub area is large and can accommodate decent amount of people - Breakfast is decent compared to many similar hotel chains that offer complementary breakfast Cons: - To start off with, we are stuck in a basement room which was a little dingy with little sunlight. When we booked, the stock photo for the room has a fireplace, our room did not come with one - Bathroom does not have a curtain. Everytime we showered, the bathroom flooded - Wifi was very slow or nonexistent, likely because we are at the lowest level - Room service is every 3 days. We put in a request for fresh towels and garbage disposal, and they missed it, so we had to call the front desk to get that in

Online photos of this place are a little deceiving. They make it look modern. It's a little dated. Bed was hard and uncomfortable. You have to fill out a 'please make up our room' card in order to get any sort of daily service. We filled it out, and simply wanted towels changed out, but that wasn't done by the time we returned to the hotel at 3pm. The front desk was far from apologetic. Morning breakfast had the usual options, but was crowded, loud, and hectic beyond belief. The one positive with the entire stay was that the shower water pressure and volume was excellent. Everything else makes me question hotels.com rating for this place.

The only thing that bothered me is we had a premium suite and our room was right at the top of the stairway from the lobby of the hotel, so throughout the night I heard people stomping up the stairs and it sounded like knocking on the walls and talking in the hallways, but that is my only complaint. When you get one of the most expensive rooms in a hotel you shouldn’t have to hear people coming or going. So in my opinion our room should have been cheaper.

First night was like warm water to shower, beds are hard, not comfortable at all! Unable to watch TV as it was out, internet was sketchy. For $250/ night I would EXPECT these things to be all in working/comfort condition.

Always amazing, Chris was counter staff on check in and made us feel welcomed and at home- very friendly smile- truly made us feel like the whole hotel staff was waiting for us with genuine welcome ! We had a wonderful stay at the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson in Galena. The hotel was clean, well-kept, and offered great amenities. The hot tub and pool were perfect for relaxation after a day of exploring. The breakfast had something for everyone, which was a nice touch. The gentlemen and young lady at the front desk were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The location was also ideal, making it easy to experience all that Galena has to offer. Highly recommend!

Enjoyed our stay…we’ll be back! However, a big negative is the lack of a TV channel / time guide. The channel guide provided was semi useless since it only provided channel/network info on a hard copy. Very frustrating!!! The free breakfast was very basic and the main items that you would expect to be served warm tended to be on the unheated side. There were warmers there for eggs, sausage etc. but they simply didn’t do the job. We hope that the above concerns will be addressed and resolved for our next stay, otherwise we will be looking at alternative accommodations.

The front desk, housekeeping and breakfast staff were so nice and accommodating. Our only comparing was the lack of quality with the breakfast. This is a hotel owner quality issue not staff. They are working with what they are given . The breakfast was sub par with plenty of options but none really being that fresh or tasty. Besides the breakfast we loved our comfortable stay.

My experience was very good. Room was very clean and had all the essentials. Breakfast was great with nice varity of food offered. Dining area was very well kept with someone cleaning continually. All staff were welcoming and friendly. Only "complaint" is the short/low toilet in the room. I'm a tall older woman with not the best knees so that was not easy.
