Great location with a rustic feel to it. It was a comfortable hotel without the corporate feel to it. I would highly recommend to others. The only thing that could improve would be the gym Equipment as that could use a bit of an update.

The hot tub and pool area are immaculate! We were glad to know that the hot tub is drained and cleaned regularly, and this just happened several days ago. The ambiance in the pool area and throughout the entire lodge is lovely! We appreciate the generous pool hours, and the complimentary breakfast. Looking forward to staying here again!

We really enjoyed our stay at Stoney Creek Inn. Extremely clean, satisfying breakfast and friendly staff. Bathroom was well thought out. Definitely will be back!

We stayed at Stoney Creek Inn on a weekend trip to Galena in August. The inn itself is very dated and needs a remodel. There is a cute bar to have drinks but the entire property was full of flies which made it seem dirty and unkept. I’ve stayed at numerous properties in the summer that did not have flies everywhere. The staff was nice but I did not realize that you do not get maid service unless you request it if you are staying fewer than 3 days. The room was clean enough but again very dated. At this price point I’m sure we could have found something else that would have been much nicer. I would not stay there again.

We are a family of 5 so we did get two rooms; I would not try to sleep a kid on the floor it would be too cramped but the price was spot on as we would normally pay the same price for a single room with pull-out. The important part is that it was clean and the mattresses on the bed provided for a womderful night's rest. The staff was oh so friendly and helpful. My kids loved the pool/spa area and I appreciated the outdoor area to keep an eye on them.

We loved our stay. Beautiful, rustic property, and the staff is very friendly. Pool area is perfect, although the hot tub was closed for maintenance, we knew that before going. Loved the bag game in pool area. Our room was clean and very spacious ( we had the king hot tub room with fire place). We will definitely be returning and staying here again.

Hotel is clean. Only negative thing is thin walls. I heard every conversation the people in the next room, the kids running up and down the halls all night, kids jumping up and down in the rooms (easily after 11pm at that time) and families slamming doors. (Not the hotel's fault)

We stayed in the Theme Suite with Whirlpool. It was so cute. They paid attention to all the little details. The hot tub and pool both were great. The hotel was very quiet and we loved every minute of it.

Our stay was wonderful When we checked in we asked if we could check out at 12 instead of 11 and she said oh no problem that’s fine and then the next day when I went to check out they charged me $25 for staying an extra 45 minutes. no one told me that they would charge us that we would’ve left earlier we would’ve known . I told the guy at the front desk that they didn’t tell us and we did not know about this but he wouldn’t give us our money back. He says what you say is 1 o’clock you get charged I said we left at 11:45. I wasn’t happy.

I checked in, they said my room was upstairs and when I told them my daughter was in a wheelchair and we couldn't do stairs they said they didn't have anything on the lower level and rhat they would refund my m9ney back, its been a few days and I still haven't received a refund.

There was a problem with the reservation getting through to hotel, though it had been paid in full. The desk manager worked to get it taken care of right away and upgraded or room for the weekend. Very helpful and we appreciated it.

The folks at Stoney Creek could not have been more helpful and friendly. We were greeted on arrival by manager, John Grilliot. He gave us a warm welcome and answered all questions about the facility, as well as best bets for dining and things to do in Galena. The front desk personnel were equally friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend Stoney Creek. As an aside, it was Labor Day weekend and so they were insanely busy. Kudos.

The Inn was very clean and quiet. Breakfast was available and was hot and fresh. What made our stay was the excellent service provided by Teresa. Although she wore many hats, front desk person, bartender, housekeeping, etc., she didn't miss a beat. She was always so kind, friendly and helpful. We appreciate her service and look forward to returning in the future.

Clean comfortable hotel near Galena. The hotel is just outside the main part of town next to a shopping mall, but just a short drive into town. The room was spacious and comfortable.

Wi-Fi was ok too. Great place to stay. Very friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic pool area with a hot tub. Good breakfast included with the stay. It’s unfortunate it couldn’t be located in a more rustic setting. I suspect it was more rural at one time then development around it started. If we get back to Galena, we’ll definitely stay there again.

Quiet location, just a few minutes drive from the busy downtown. A clean place, nice room with a good breakfast. Our friendly desk clerk was A+, she was helpful with our questions to plan and navigate our weekend stay. (We had the best quesadillas at the Mexican restaurant in the nearby strip at the far end from Piggly Wiggly.) I'd recommend Stoney Creek and we hope to stay there again :)

Stoney Creek Inn was charming with a lot of character. We found the staff to be friendly, the property to be clean and the overall ambiance to be inviting. It was close to a delicious Mexican restaurant called Los Aztecas and right in front of the Piggly Wiggly. It was close to an art school that had a quaint gallery. It was also not too far away from the downtown area. We would highly recommend Stoney Creek Inn and would choose to stay her again in the future.

Great stay here in Galena. The location was great to nearby amenities and downtown shopping was not far at all. The decor was outdoorsy and was nice with a bar on site and the breakfast was good.

We were told when checking in they had pizza and bar is open. The bar was open but only served wine and beer. Was also told no pizza. This gal wasn’t from this hotel so I guess that’s was the reason. She was very Nice and polite to us. Heads up have people cross trained better. We loved our room and wish you the very best.

We loved Stoney Creek Inn. We will definitely stay there again when we return to Galena! Loved the fireplace, the whirlpool the comfortable surroundings and bar. The breakfast pancakes were really good.
