Hampton Inn & Suites Chicago/Hoffman Estates

We like that the pool closes at 11am instead of 10am like other hotels in the area. Room clean and great breakfast buffet. We will stay again.

Check-in at the front desk was quick and efficient. Both of our suites were spacious, modern, and well maintained. I appreciate all the amenities such as 24hr guest laundry for $1 wash per load.

The rooms are great my kids really enjoyed the breakfast and the pool and I agree everything was perfect.

It was quiet and clean. One thing I didnt like was the time it took to check in, too long. And there were some amenities out of order, ex, one of the elevator and ice machine. Otherwise was nice the stay.

There were ants behind my dresser they did move me to another unit in the garbage can outside of the hotel was full longer than it should have been and I couldn't throw stuff away when I left the hotel or on my way in and the door on the side of the hotel didn't work using the hotel key so we had to walk around to the front door and the breakfast looks nothing like the picture it's very limited items no breakfast spreads like bagels or croissants and there were turkey alternatives for the meat not much pork just slices of ham not appealing for me

Laundry was $1.00 for washer and $1.00 for dryer. Laundry Room was small but appreciated this service available to us.

We loved this hotel. The pool water was nice a warm for our baby and for us. The breakfast was great and even the service.

It was pet friendly, room was very spacious, very quiet. Room and beds were very comfy and clean. Only thing is we found a pair of dirty underwear behind the tv.

This place looks clean from the outside but the inside is horrible. Had to switch rooms after 30 minutes due to finding bugs in clean so called towels went to a so called cleaner room same thing dirty couldn't wait for the night to over with to check out.

It wasn’t too clean. There was a tiny cockroach in our room. Staff didn’t clean our trash when requested.

I stayed here with my family of 5. We got the larger room w/ kitchen. It was really spacious and clean. The hotel was clean. Breakfast was good. Would stay here again.

My only complaint is that the beds are too high. I could have used a step stool to get in the bed

Some minor pumping issues and non functioning lamps, but everything was managed effectively and promptly resolved. 👍. Not a fan of the corner sink though...no counter space in the bathroom. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

Hotel was nice actual room was disappointing sink in bathroom didn’t drain standing water. Shower wouldn’t turn off and air conditioner extremely noisy

The room was nice size house keeping was good . Did not realize that the suite room didn’t have bath tub for children and had two suites. would of like 1 room to have a tub. The breakfast food was good , but was tippy toeing to reach the waffle maker myself and my adult daughter 5 foot tall could hardly reach it and burnt hand good. This is the only one that I have been to that it was up so high and I only stay at Hamptons when traveling. And as for the front desk I believe her name was Tracy. Didn’t seem concerned at all never even apologize or offended first aid, but said it was the Hampton policy and layout. I feel the counter it was on should be lowered.

There was a large crowd in the lobby drinking and playing music when we checked in late at night, but we couldn’t hear them at all once in our room. The pillows were super small and uncomfortable and we couldn’t get the AC to work. Decent breakfast options and convenient location for an overnight stop on to our final destination, but likely wouldn’t stay here again if it was longer than that.

Our room was very comfortable and clean. It was a bit noisy being next to the elevators and ice machine, but it was also handy being next to those things, so no complaints! Everyone was friendly and accomodating. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Guy with the grey hair and the light beard at the front desk was possibly one of the coolest staff members I’ve had the opportunity to meet, made an otherwise stressful work trip honestly enjoyable, was friendly and chatted with me and gave me good directions and suggestions for places to go. Wonderful staff member

Great front desk service!

Main reason for the bad rating is that the front staff are terrible at their job. I had booked my stay from Feb 19th to 22nd 2025 through Expedia. My flight was delayed coz of a snow storm and I called the reception to inform I will land only the next day. The guy who attended the call was quite blunt and kept repeating that he couldn’t find my reservation and that I should contact the booking agency (Expedia). When I landed the next day, the lady at the reception repeated the same thing. I told her that I have an iternary number and after giving her that, she said that somebody else has checked in under my name. Meaning, the receptionist from the previous day had checked in another guest under my name mistakenly. Ufff, I have never heard of such crap but atleast kudos to her for finding it out. I had come for a medical procedure and just wanted to rest without any drama. They gave me a room and within 10 mins someone enters randomly. It was the cleaning lady and I guess she had not been made aware that a guest had checked in. She apologized profusely though. I was dressed so it’s fine but what if i was changing, somebody walking in would have been so embarrassing. Other cons are that Bathroom sink was very small that and water kept spilling outside constantly. The lotion bottle was empty and not filled. The only pros are that the room and bathroom were clean, nothing else.

Due to the property's phones "being down" for multiple days, we were unable to contact anyone ahead of our reservation with questions. They did not respond to multiple attempts to message them through Expedia. The front desk woman was extremely unhelpful and unprofessional. My family was not able to check in to the hotel. The front desk woman offered no options or help for our issues or concerns. She refused to speak to me through a cell phone that was offered. When I arrived in person, the staff member repeatedly stated that because we booked through Expedia, she could do nothing for us. It was a horrible interaction and I hope no one else needs to experience that kind of customer service. I am a Hilton Honors reward member and was still treated this way. I paid for the hotel room in full and was never allowed to check in. If you're looking to book a hotel in the area through Expedia or a third party website, do NOT book this Hampton Inn. You will likely be treated very poorly.

Had neighbors upstairs that partied all night the whole hotel complained several time and the night manager did nothing. He wasnt very well versed in hotel management. Then to top it all off the fire alarm that was false come later the morning talking to the management but 5am and we all didnt know what was going on and management didnt tell us anything at the time.

Front desk was wonderful, explained everything to me, I asked about water in the room, she gave me a few complementary bottles. Rooms are quiet, comfortable. I would stay here again.

My wife & I really liked the cleanliness of the room & bathroom. The breakfast was good, too. Also, the location was wonderful. It's close to everything.

Absolutely loved this hotel the pool was amazing, I loved the area and it was in! I felt safe and secluded and the movie theater was right across the street! Shopping was very easy to get to as well!!

I liked this hotel but i didn't realize it wasnt in Chicago when i was looking to stay in Chicago but Expedia was misleading as it gave me this hotel as a place to stay in Chicago

The room was great. The disappointment was the breakfast. Stale muffins. Orange juice that appeared to be watered down, and fruit that had seen better days. You can do better.

It was my son’s birthday and it was amazing. The breakfast was actually really good for once for it being a hotel. Rooms were very clean and nice me and my family loved our stay and will be coming back!!
