Chicago Marriott Schaumburg

I’ve played tourist before and stayed in the heart of the city. I chose this hotel for the free parking and amenities. Parking: They have a huge parking lot. Finding a spot was always easy. Breakfast: Wonderful selection and helpful staff. Pool / Hot tub: We used each day! Very nice facilities. Room: The room was comfortable. The only downside is the walls are a bit thin. We were on a party floor and I had to call the front desk as people were playing music at 5:00am. If you are noise sensitive I’d ask if they can put you away from the next guests.

Great Pool and Hot Tub.

Staff was all very nice. The only thing i didnt like is the shuttle service that was part of the stay, i was informed by staff left early on a weekend. I didn't understand this as my group snd others expected you use this service for shopping and dining. Especially since the driver was gone by 6pm in Saturday i woukd have expected an available driver later over a weekend, if not maybe have staff inform the guest this is no longer a service offered

Great area. Very nice place. Will stay again. Food and drinks great also. Hot tub was perfect temp.

Loved the pool and the restaurant in the lobby. Fast and efficient elevators as well.

I love that there was an indoor and an outdoor pool.

The pool was freezing. Hot tub didn’t work. One of the rooms had hardly any water pressure. Staff wasn’t friendly at all! The a friend had sent an edible arrangement that was delivered and we never saw it!! I left message for Lee, GM never called me back. I guess they don’t want to hear what’s going on so they ignore you!

Everything was great. The only things were the ice machine didn’t work on every floor and we had to go to three different floors to find one. Also, not all of the jets in the hot tub worked.

We didn’t have a remote control for the tv which was odd, so the tv was unusable. When I went looking for the remote, I found food remnants and trash under the bed. The walls were paper thin, so we could hear everything on both sides of us at all hours. The bed was comfy and our breakfast was good, but it wasn’t anything we couldn’t have brought from home for less money- packaged stuff that we paid extra for. Overall it was just kind of a disappointing stay for the price.

I had one of the worst experiences at the Schaumburg Marriott. When we first checked in, there was a spider in the room and hair all over the bed sheets – clearly the room had not been cleaned or the sheets changed. We had to ask to be moved to another room, which was inconvenient and disappointing for a hotel that claims to be “high end.” Later that night, a fire alarm went off and I was forced to run down nine flights of stairs. On top of that, the Starbucks on-site was dirty, and the pool was disgusting, full of hair. The only area that seemed remotely clean was the hot tub. Honestly, other hotels like Best Western or Country Inn are 100 times better than this place. For what Marriott charges, I expected a lot more. This property is nowhere near the standard they advertise and is definitely not worth the price.

Cute, clean, safe, nice. My only complaint, If you opt for the FREE WiFi then change your mind and want to do the PAID WiFi, they make it sooooo hard! The free WiFi was TRASH. It took 30-60 seconds for each page to load. I had to call some customer service number and it took 30 minutes on the phone with them to upgrade. I’m not sure why it isn’t just an easy option to upgrade, or why the hotel themselves can’t do it. It was a waste of my time. So just upgrade your wifi from the JUMP if you even THINK you might want faster speeds lol.

The hotel is beautifull but the rooms are very small. Ours was small(248). The bathroom is smaller than i saw. But the check-in took 1 minutes. Good service at the hotel.

The room was extremely hot. Thermostat read 60° but felt like 80°. We both could not sleep comfortably because it felt like a sauna in the room.

I’m not sure why this hotel doesn’t offer a free Netflix account and their TVs need to be updated. They’re running on a very old system and it makes the connectivity a little slower.

Love this hotel and stay there often. Only complaint is road noise from the highway.

Hot tub and pool we're great. Fridge in the room was broken and we lost all of our leftovers as a result.

The hotel is outdated, but clean. Great location, but noisy from the highway. There was just a door between our room and the room next to us. I could hear their TV. I ordered breakfast in the morning. It took 1 hour to come. Cleaning team used their key and entered the room at 9 am. Other than that, it was good.

I didn’t like the flat rooftop view from the room.

Everything was great, except the beds. The beds were terrible. Even our 18 year old daughter and her friend were sore in the morning from sleeping in the beds.

Room was well kept and clean. Front desk staff was very courteous and welcoming. Room next door had a party and could barely hear noises.

where do I start? lets go with check in. when I arrived to the property i wasn't greeted properly at all. I said hello I' here to check in and the front desk didn't greet me or even say hello. She said what' your last name can i see your id and debit card. she then asked if i needed a single or double beds i said i have the kids with me i need two beds. Shen then asked me did i have a preference on the floor i implied it didn't matter as long as i have two beds. she then told me to put my debit card in machine for incidentals. I then received a notification from my bank stating i was changed 458.72 so that's when i was confused. I then asked why am i being change so much when I paid for the room already. After doing research they noticed the made a mistake and refunded my funds(its going to take 5-7 business days). I then proceeded to the room just to take one foot in the door to notice it was a room with only one bed. Now I' getting really frustrated because i told her multiple times i needed two beds. I proceed to go downstairs to left her know she gave me one bed room. She didn't apologize she didn't say anything but asked the key fixed it and gave the key back without apologizing again. All of this before even starting the stay is outrageous. Next we get settled into our room and later head down to the pool area. we over hear other families complaining about the staff and security being rude but we were so fed up we didn't even want to engage. Morning staff was worst

Have stayed at the Marriott Chicago Schaumburg in the past. Always a great experience. Everything you need is right there accommodations were excellent staff very friendly. I mentioned to Elizabeth at the desk about the lotion in the room and how great it smelled and she gave me a little one to take home! I’ll be back.

The front desk team was extremely nice! It was my birthday outing and I mentioned this when I checked in. Awhile later a knock was at my door and it was the front desk, they made me a birthday bag!! I was so surprised and super grateful! This made it the best birthday in awhile☺️

Well we stayed here for a night… rooms were cozy however the service was less than average we had two double queen rooms booked. When we entered we had only one water bottle (600 ml) for 4 of us in each room. No foot ware/slippers were provided.. for handwashing just a tiny soap bar. When we inquired regarding water bottles on front desk the person he handed over 100 ml bottol and said that’s all he can do as it’s hotel policy. We were expecting enough water for 4 people as they knew the bookings in advance as water is basic necessity. Never came across this kind of policy in such highly reputed place

I always choose this hotel when I stay in Schaumburg. The stall is very friendly. Rooms are neat and comfortable. Thanks for making my stay a great one.

Overall, our stay was great except that in their parking lot the secondary catalytic converter of my car got stolen. It ruined our trip because we have to get the car inspected, do a police report, communicate with the manager of the hotel….the stolen part is going to cost US$1,600 dollars by the way. The management that was there was really nice, she said she would report it and check the cámaras I’m the parking lot. BUT, no one has reach to us regarding this, even tho I was informed that someone from the hotel was going to call us. No one has. So, I was waiting before I wrote the review to see if they call, text, email… at least informing us that they are not responsible or they are responsible, but nothing. I would not recommend going there, too many hotels and this ruin our trip and cost us time and money.

Was not pleased with this hotel. Closer look and things were dingy. Mold, stronf smells, and dirty walls in the room. Staff wasnt very welcoming. And if you dont have a car, nothing to walk to.

Very convenient location for the AXPONA Hi-Fi show.

I stayed with my children for soccer matches at the nearby olympic park. Check in was quick and easy. Rooms are comfortable and staff in restaurant area are great. breakfast is good value. Only minor issue was shower which is a little light on pressure. rest good.

Hotel property is good. Close to highway so very noisy. Bathroom is extremely congested.

Nice spot for a staycation. 5 minutes away from Woodfield Mall. Where you can find plenty of dining options, a movie theater and shopping.

There was a deadly shooting the first night and loud drunks both nights. Loud slaming doors.

Perfect location! Easy trip to ohare!

Our stay was wonderful. We visited the city for a sports camp and it was the ideal location for restaurants, shopping and entertainment. We had a great experience at the hotel as it was conveniently located to many of the places we wanted to go.

Wonderful facility, service and cleanliness as well as food served at conference and restaurant. Front desk clerk was a little snarky about booking on Expedia but that was the only bad spot.

Great place to stay, friendly staff, clean, good place to relax. Me and my wife come here once a while to get away from daily routine. The one thing we miss that they used to have is room service 😔.

Clean gorgeous quiet hotel, pillows are too soft for my liking but tolerable. Their breakfast buffet is a must! Definitely add it to your stay, i paid $8 extra per person for the buffet and it was worth that and more. Cant eat around the area for $8 or that good!
