The overnight female staff was my favorite i mever got her name she was an older lady. The Caucasian receptionist in the morning is rude and cranky all the time and shes always smoking a cigarette talking to her self. There was an Indian housekeeper who i gave the nick name Buddy too he was very polite and respectful. The rooms do smell of mold and could use vetter renovations but it was peaceful beside our loud room door in room 320. The rooms could use dusting especially by the ac and windows. Plenty of cobwebs. No elevator only stairs. No pool either which isnt a big deal i just needed rest. I do plan on coming again just rather not deal with the rude woman who doesnt even speak for some reason she only spoke to my Caucasian husband hence i am not white.... kinda makes you wonder.

This hotel was poor to average. The bathtub had hair from a former person staying there, a washcloth was left tied to the shower curtain bar, a big stain on one of the comforters and the pipes leaked. The view was like a junk yard. Also, this particular hotel doesn’t Have an elevator.

During my recent day trip to the Indiana Dunes, I decided to stay at the Quality Inn, believing I had booked a room with Comfort Inn. My disappointment was immediate upon arrival. First, if you book through a third-party site, be prepared for a $50 incidental fee. While this might not be a big issue at a well-equipped hotel, it feels like an insult here. The hotel fails to provide basic amenities you'd expect, like extra towels or a functional AC. The entire place reeked of an unpleasant odor, reminiscent of decay, which made my stay unbearable. Accessibility is another major issue. There is no elevator to the second floor, so if you need a handicap-accessible room with a king bed, avoid this place. The grumpy and intimidating older staff further ruined my experience. Imagine the characters from "Grumpy Old Men" replaced with equally surly women, and you'll get the picture. Overall, my stay at Quality Inn was horrendous. I will never book here again and strongly advise others to look elsewhere for accommodation.

Our room smelled bad. Dirty…the sink and mirror and faucet were all filthy. The bathroom floor looked like it hadn’t been swept. The toilet was also pretty dirty. Both lampshades were broken like someone punched holes in them. Overall for the price we paid I expected a room that didn’t turn my feet black walking on the carpet.

The hotel was rather cheap so I wasn't expecting the world however the lobby and hallways have a strong smell of mildew and mold, our room kinda had the smell as well but with the ac on it kind of masked it. The room was pretty clean (besides a stain on one of the bedside lamp shades) but the bathroom felt a little bit dirty. The corners in the bathroom looked like they needed attention as well as the shower being very stained. The staff was great and very kind, breakfast was good as well, if it wasn't for the smell or the bathroom it would have been 4 stars across the board.

We encountered two different staff members. Both were not friendly and seemed like they did not want to help us check in/out. Floors were not vacuumed. Bathroom floor was also very dirty with dead bugs and hair. The door to the bathroom does not close all the way. Lots of holes in the walls that they tried to cover up with plastic covers but the wholes were too big. Water marks and damage on the ceiling and walls. The room smells bad. We had to use an air freshener. The bed sheets, blankets, pillows and chairs all have stains. Luckily we brought our own. WiFi does connect but is extremely slow. We did not try their breakfast. I do not recommend this hotel at all. We needed a place to stay for one night and we got that. This place is disgusting, smells and everything is in poor condition including the staff.

Very disappointed in this hotel. Upon arrival, rooms were not ready as they only have 1 housekeeper. Room was switched, walked in and it smells of mold. Big water stain on ceiling, and the other part of the ceiling was painted but not professionally and you could see all the repairs that needed to happen. Spoke to front desk and he didn’t seem concerned, said he would send the housekeeper back in but never seen him.

Stains on the furniture, stains on the bed, dried toothpaste on the sink, dirty hair dryer, dirt and debris on the floor behind the bathroom door. The room smelled. We were right next to the house keeping room so im not sure if thats why it smelled. Hardly any breakfast a little after 8am on a Sunday morning.

Very quiet area but a bit of a drive from shopping and the highway. Very helpful staff but it was an older hotel although recently remodeled. Room was clean but the exhaust in the bathroom was very noisy.

It was a quiet and comfortable stay for 4 nights. Jan at the front desk was very helpful and polite. The continental breakfast was good, but the hotel does need to be updated a bit or renovated. Overall my stay was good and I would go back again .

Probably the worst hotel stay in my life. Miserable miserable MISERABLE front desk personnel. Rude and massively incompetent. Whoever is running this place ought to be ashamed of themselves for not training anybody on anything. They were rude and clearly hated having to lift a finger to do anything. Simply awful. Great job by the GM. Totally has no pride whatsoever in operating this enterprise. I mean that was like straight out of sitcom. It was actually hard to believe.

Great location off of the highway, there was always police presence in the area but it never felt needed. The hotel front lobby and rooms are nice and the front desk staff was very friendly. Great location if you’re coming in for a quick trip to the dunes since it’s only 15 min away and the highway to head back to Chicago is down the street. Highly recommend.

The best thing about this hotel was the price. The first room we were given- the smell of chemicals was unbearable and the bathroom had used towels and a dirty toilet that no one had flushed. The 2nd room was better, and we just kept repeating, “We just need to sleep and get back on the road.” There is no elevator, so bringing a heavy suitcase, a sleeping toddler and infant upstairs was difficult. Breakfast - was sausage gravy in a crockpot. It was completely cold. Best things- convenient to the highway, quiet, price
