The tv didn't work for all 3 days, the ice machine was broken, dogs barked in the rooms all night. The breakfast was very limited so we just went out to eat.

Likes: warm welcome, hot coffee and waffle breakfast, excellent tv and clear channels. Good connection to wifi. We liked that it was close to the freeway. Dislikes: wall needed fixing, security is low, missing doornobs and dim lighting. Dirt in hallway. We had to go back to the front desk for wifi. Slight odor.

This was our second visit to this location and I definitely recommend. They provide friendly service for a reasonable rate. He has added a hot tub, pool and bar in the last year since our last visit and continues to refurbish and upgrade.

Well, the lawn needed to be mowed. The windows around the hot tub needed to be clean. The hot tub was dirty. The pool was really clean the security. Doors on the outside should have been locked. The microwave had nowhere to plug into. There was trash around the building. There is a empty hose on the concrete. By the hot tub. The hallway to the rooms was dark and scary. Did not really feel safe in the hotel.

The hot tub at this property is horribly filthy with dirt rings around the tub and excess buildup on the head rest. Also chunks of hair floating in the tub. The shower in my room was ridiculously dirty also with hand prints and hair in it. Also shower itself was peeling apart and very old and the toilet had a poop smear on the outside front that was very gross. loud highway noise all night long too but besides this the bed was at least average. Just had yellowish sheets cause they were very old.

Hotels.com should be ashamed to even list this place. First off the smell of mold and cigarette smoke had my throat burning in a matter of minutes. We were shown to 3 different rooms because they were too filthy to stay in. First room the floor had not even been swept. 2nd room the adjoining room door was busted and couldn’t be secured. There was blood, hair, and feces on the sheets and water standing in the bathroom floor. 3rd room had pubic hair in the bathroom, was filthy dirty, but the last straw was the live bug crawling in the bed. None of the rooms had anyway to lock the interior door, and the exterior door to the hotel was wide open for anyone to come in. Worst hotel I have ever been in in my entire life. We ended up leaving at 12:30 to find a new hotel.

The breakfast was extremely limited. There was a waffle maker and the waffles were good, but no butter, just syrup. There were a very few other choices. The room smelled so musty and there was some mold on the ceiling of the shower. The manager offered to give us a different room after he had assured us on check in this was one of his best rooms. We didn't move because we were afraid if this was one of his best rooms how much worse could another room be. The beds were on some kind of thin metal base that made loud noises every time you moved on the bed. It sounded like the rippling of metal used to make thunder sounds in the movies. The beds were comfortable, but the mattress was fairly thin. We were there 4 nights and the room was never cleaned during our stay. No new towels, no beds made, and there was only one tiny trash can in the whole room. We ran out of toilet paper and had to go the front desk to get more. All in all I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!!!

The lobby smelled like weed. When I asked where to park, the clerk suggested that if I wanted to avoid security cameras, I could park on the side. There was no coffee. There was also nothing for breakfast except cereal and waffles. I was told there would be fresh fruit, but there was not. Walls are thin. I could hear coughing and cell phone rings from the rooms near me. My room was next to a highway and I could hear all the cars zipping by. It wasn’t in very good condition, but at least it was clean. It was inexpensive - so I guess I got what I paid for?

The service from the counter gentleman was great. Had to leave by six thirty, and the breakfast still wasn't out. Shower head and room headband electrical taped back together and was still profusely leaking when turned on and there was no hot water to speak of dirty towel was left in the bathtub and no soap or shampoos

The manager/owner was SO accommodating, professional, and polite. He made us feel very welcome, and like we had known each other for years. All without making me, an extrovert who tends to way overanalyze everything, feel uncomfortable or awkward. I would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone. It was in a safe area, well below what chain hotels cost, with less amenities at that. Plus he is a business owner, not a franchise. I will always love supporting small businesses. Especially when customer service is top notch!

We were given a dirty room. And when we asked for clean towels BECAUSE the room was dirty and towels used by previous guyest. Not only did the OWNER of the establishment NOT move us he didn't even offer a different room. To top just the night off he tried to give us a hard time about giving us clean towels. To end this stay the next morning the owner knocks on the door and proceeded to accuse me of smoking in his room he didn't ask me if I was no..he bluntly accused me smoke in his room and I would never do such a thing.

We met the owner on our 2-night stay; he was super friendly/nice and sincerely concerned about our comfort and needs. What was good = A/C, comfortable bed, TV, quiet room, clean, nice shower, pool, microwave, fridge, breakfast. Bed frame was noisy - sounded like someone was throwing something into a trash receptacle every time we moved; no cups in room for water; no extra tissue paper; no Kleenex; no shower curtain; room had an odd odor; room needed paint. No wonder they say “no refunds once you confirm”, as I would think no one would stay there.

This place is horrible. The first problem was the horrendous smell. The clincher was the staff refusing to do anything about the extremely rude and noisy neighbor. It was the last straw. Because the staff refused to do anything about the noise i had no choice but to leave.

The management recently changed so a lot of this will hopefully smooth out since the new owner is passionate and friendly and they had to release some bad staff. The best part was how convenient the location is, the price, they are pet friendly (we had a cat and a bird), and how great the staff is. The downside is that the place was dirty (they recently released the housekeeper). The beds and sheets were clean but the floor under the bed was dirty. Also the building is old so it needs renovations (they are currently renovating some rooms). The location was a little sketchy at night but in the morning it was great. Overall it was a good stay, close to the highways, with good diners near by and in a couple years I can see this place to being excellent.

This was the perfect low cost stay off i70! The staff were so kind and helpful, coffee was good and the jacuzzi got rid of any stiffness from driving! Would recommend to families and solo travelers.

There was some confusion as I arrived at the property. There is a Days Inn hotel directly in front of the Salina Hotel. In the darkness they appear to be the same property. I got turned around a little bit but eventually made it to the hotel. I was greeted by a man named Dil, the proprietor/ manager who not only greeted me but showed me to my room. As I was on a motorcycle he encouraged me to park in front where he could keep an eye on it and I suppose it's where the cameras are best oriented for security. He mentioned that there is an agreement with the local police department that they sweep through the parking lot several times during the night. I happened to see a police cruiser as I had arrived doing a security check. I was assured that there would be no security issues. Although the property is a bit dated, he went above and beyond what was required to make my stay a great deal more comfortable. I have never experienced what was almost like a concierge type environment. He even stopped by my room at approximately 10:00 a.m. to tell me the coffee in the lobby was ready. His attention for my comfort level overcame any detractors of the condition of the hotel. The bed was comfortable, mattress firm. Great shower and the price was reasonable. I was in town for a few weeks working in the area.. I was working day shift and the nights were quiet and i was able to get sleep. They cleaned my room weekly which was fine. The owner is a quiet man that let me see the rooms prior to picking one.. I picked a great one. New carpeting. Great hot water and the price was great ! Better than the rest and more bang for your buck. 30 mins all highway if your working at CHS like i was. The weekly rate was way cheaper than the online rates if your booking give DIL a call he can hook you up ! Will stay here again !

The breakfast was extremely limited. There was a waffle maker and the waffles were good, but no butter, just syrup. There were a very few other choices. The room smelled so musty and there was some mold on the ceiling of the shower. The manager offered to give us a different room after he had assured us on check in this was one of his best rooms. We didn't move because we were afraid if this was one of his best rooms how much worse could another room be. The beds were on some kind of thin metal base that made loud noises every time you moved on the bed. It sounded like the rippling of metal used to make thunder sounds in the movies. The beds were comfortable, but the mattress was fairly thin. We were there 4 nights and the room was never cleaned during our stay. No new towels, no beds made, and there was only one tiny trash can in the whole room. We ran out of toilet paper and had to go the front desk to get more. All in all I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!!!

Smelly, door locks were not secure, hallways were dim, advertise for breakfast but no breakfast, lobby looks closed cause they keep the lights off. no hot water in room, there was hair on sheets under the comforter which led me to believe they just re-made the bed from the last guest and didn't actually change the sheets. just a basic a truck stop motel where you take a lot lizard.

You get what you pay for and luckily for cheapos like me that just need a bed, that’s fine! Everything that could be stained was except the bed. The bedding was clean and the bed was comfortable. I got a waffle and coffee in the morning from the limited breakfast, they stay was fine. Bare bones, rundown, but didn’t want to pay $100 dollars for just a good night’s sleep by myself (my husband would never stay here with kids), so happy with my selection.

This place is a flop house. I'm sorry to have to report that, but it is THE WORST place we have ever stayed, and we've been retired for almost 20 years and travel quite a bit. The "breakfast" was a bowl of cornflakes, and that's it.

I tend to travel pretty cheap so when I say this is the worst motel I've been to, I'm truly not exaggerating. The sink wouldn't drain, the toilet didn't flush, the were bugs crawling around the room, the shower never got warm, and housekeeping forced their way into my room about 20 minutes before checkout. All that being said, the guy at the front desk was great. Super friendly.
