They were doing construction and pool was drained and work zone. Decently clean room, but floor in bath had dozens of water spots making me think they hadn’t mopped between guests. Hallway carpet was pretty worn.

We didn't stay due to fact Indoor Pool unavailable for usage which was reason for choosing this property for our family of 11 stay cation!! Also suites were not 2 separate rooms as Advertised!! Beds and sofa bed all along a wall in same room!! Only Best Westerns website stated pool closed, NOT ANY Other Booking Sites showed Pool closed Due to Renovations!! We Didnt Stay in either Room!! Was charged $325 Cash for 1st room!! My Sister didn't get room 2nd room due to Pool Closed!! They've Billed my Credit Card $155 .00!! At first it was $284.95 they attempted to charge for 2nd room!! We went instead to another Hotel!!

The room had a cigarette smell, the sheets had stains. I was there for 6 days (was suppose to be 7 but couldn’t stay) they did our bed and brought us clean towels 1 time. I had to o ask for clean towels every time. The pool was so dirty my daughters didn’t want to swim in it. The Jacuzzi was boarded up so not in service. Elevator not in service. I have pictures of most of the place.

When we checked in, we found out that the elevator was not working and our room was on the third floor. In addition, the pool was closed when the temperature was around 100 degrees. The door to my room would not latch unless the door handle was lifted up slightly so that the latch and deadbolt would engage. To unlock my room, I had to turn the handle upward not downward, which is typical, to make the door unlock. The place was not in good condition.

For the 2nd time in a month the elevator wasn't working and i was issued a room on the 2nd floor. That's ok for some , but i have had 4 previous knee surgeries which makes it very inconvenient. There was no remote control in my room to operate the tv. It took 4 hours to finally get a broken one that partially worked. This was my last visit to this property.

The floors in our hotel room were filthy. My 1 year old was crawling around and next thing we know she has black on her hand, knees and feet. It needs a deep cleaning. I’ve never experienced that before in my life. The outlets were hit or miss. There was some damage here and there that are easy fixes like the toilet seat. Who wants to sit on a toilet seat that does the electric slide when you sit? No crib was a big minus for us. They said they don’t carry them at all. The beds weren’t too comfy and the pillows were way too soft. There was a smell to our room and in the hallway of paint or something of that nature and it was not pleasant. These and other details are all fixable. Now, the staff was impeccable and the food was very good. I heard one customer say that “this gentleman is the best.” He said “I wake up before anyone else at 5:30am and he has a coffee ready for me when I get here.” I can’t speak highly enough about the staff because they took care of us and helped us feel at home.

The first night there was a dead roach on the bathroom floor. After housekeeping made a visit (linen change - towels), there were two dead roaches on the floor. Also, I drank 2 cups of coffe my first morning and had to go to the desk to ask for more for my second morning. I was not impressed

One of the exterior side doors key card scanner was broken, meaning the door was consistently unlocked. The continental breakfast had the most limited options that I’ve seen at any hotel and was not replenished when an item was out even if there were hours left of breakfast.

The room was disgusting. The floors had dirt, hair, and trash everywhere. Stains on the sheets, no blanket just sheets and a thin decorative sheet on top. The carpets in the halls had huge stains, smelled like weed, and the front desk area smelled so strong of mothballs.

The property was more of a convenience as to where we needed to stay. Walking through the doors was a very strong smell of bleach to the point of hurting my throat, as we walked up the steps the smell turned to Marijuana - very disgusting. The room itself appeared to be clean until the lights went on and the carpet was very stained, the bedding was torn and stained, and there were some bugs in the room.

For a $180 room, it was not very nice. It was warm when I walked in and the phone didn't work. It finally cooled down later that evening. The shower curtain was falling down and there were 2 rags from the previous occupant still in the bathroom. The lady at the front desk was very nice and very helpful! The breakfast was ok but I rate the overall experience below average

This property was just very average for me. The room had a odor when we arrived and they put us in a handicap room and we were unable to switch due to availability. Since the shower was handicap when you showered the water got all over the floor, I just feel like it made a huge mess and was a hassle to clean up afterwards.

Overall very unimpressed and overrated…

The desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Housekeeping is very friendly. The carpet in our room was "crunchy". Unable to walk barefoot to the bathroom. The rooms could stand to be updated. Outlets by the bed were worn out and unable to charge our phones there. Really liked the blackout shades in the room. Breakfast COULD have been great. Constantly out of eggs and sausage. The coffee pot was empty often. Unable to find milk for cereal. I think the same person was cooking and stocking the bar, so it really wasn't her fault. You would think for the price it would be a bit nicer.

I would like to speak on the fact how disappointed and let down we were about our stay at your hotel in Baton Rouge We were there March 11th we were supposed to stay until the 13th we paid for 2 nights during the night on the 11th which was Saturday night we were in bed asleep and we woke up to a lady walking into our room and standing at the foot of our bed Needless to say it scared us to death she abruptly left my husband went downstairs and spoke to the man at the desk but he had just come on his shift and was absolutely no help the lady who had checked us in and he said she made the mistake but she had already left for the evening. He was no help at all. Needless to say we gardly slept that night and altho we had paid for anothernight We did not stay, we left. The comforter was dirty, it had stains on it. Very disappointed in the whole experience! I would like a reimbursement on the second night. Ii would like to talk to a person who is in charge. You can call me at 903-513-0121.

The people at front desk were really nice and very helpful. Whoever the male was working over night was really lazy didn't wanna do my reservation he told me wait until they come in the morning. Very unprofessional. They whole hotel stinks smell like they have water damage under that carpet that needs to be pulled up. My hotel room gave me the creeps. The smell that was in there was stuck on my clothes and smelled really bad. I had to buy all kinds of candles, carpet fresher and smell goods. They smell so bad it over powered my smell goods. Housekeeping dont know English so u have to go to front desk if u wanted ur room clean because all the words the girl knew was OK. THIS HOTEL IS NOT WORTH THE PRICES THEY ARE ASKING FOR. THEY NEED TO FIX THE WHOLE HOTEL IT HAS WATER DAMAGE

The stay was great. The staff was warm and inviting. The breakfast was amazing! I was not expecting waffles, eggs, and sausage! Fantastic! Also the rooms/hotel look like they were recently renovated and so there were no phones connected in the room. But the staff was patient and reassured us that they are doing an upgrade to the property.

We paid extra to stay at this particular best question because it had an indoor hot tub. We Later found out the pool and hot tub were down. I called expedia and the agent said it was posted on their website the hot tub was down butcI did not reserve it on their site I did it in the app and it was listed as an amenatie. No adjustment was made on either side to erate compensate for it. We could have stayed at one of the other 2 BW that had closed pools for $60 less. Then we want to check into our room which reeked of cigarette smoke. The lady at the counter told us that couldn\'t be because it\'s a non-smoking hotel and that they don\'t have any other rooms so we would have to sleep there (with our infant). We tried to get her to come up and smell for herself and she hung up on us. We called to complain and suddenly they had another room. At breakfast they had the bare minimum for a best western the begals were stale and the eggs were undercooked. They went through me like lightning. I talked to the morning counter person about our bad stay and was assured the manager would call me to "make it right". I never recived that call. We usually stay at Best Western because we have never had a bad experiance but now we have. I feel ripped off. I will be staying at the hilton next time.

Very nice accommodations without breaking the bank. Had a very small issue with my room and immediately the staff worked to get me a new room. Any questions I had the staff was there to help ! Good breakfast with a fresh cup of coffee. Will stay here again next time I’m in Baton Rouge.

The Tv didn’t work so we tried to call the front desk and the phone didn’t work. We did get them to come fix the tv though. Beds -sheets and comforters on both beds were stained and dirty. Stayed bc it was close to the hospital for same day surgery

The hotel staff couldn't have been nicer. Everyone was very friendly. The room wasn't bad. There was one outlet plate missing but otherwise it was in decent shape. The elevator sounded rough going up but was normal sounding going down. The exercise room wasn't available but that was clearly stated in the listing. So, no real surprise but I was hoping it was available to use regardless. Convenient to the interstate.

The gym was dirty and many things were broken or rusted. My bed sheets had stains on them. The towels were incredibly damp and the room smelled like mildew. One of the exterior side doors key card scanner was broken, meaning the door was consistently unlocked. The continental breakfast had the most limited options that I’ve seen at any hotel and was not replenished when an item was out even if there were hours left of breakfast.

Property is very old and tired and very neglected. Not very clean at all. No meaningful breakfast Items. The scrambled eggs and the hard boiled eggs were sour for all four days that I stayed. Staff was friendly but also not at all attentive.

The pool was closed during the 4 days we stayed. There was trash in the room when we arrived. Our room key would reset after 11am every day. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the variety of the continental breakfast.

The desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Housekeeping is very friendly. The carpet in our room was "crunchy". Unable to walk barefoot to the bathroom. The rooms could stand to be updated. Outlets by the bed were worn out and unable to charge our phones there. Really liked the blackout shades in the room. Breakfast COULD have been great. Constantly out of eggs and sausage. The coffee pot was empty often. Unable to find milk for cereal. I think the same person was cooking and stocking the bar, so it really wasn't her fault. You would think for the price it would be a bit nicer.
