I think it's ridiculous that you have to pay 12.00 to park at the hotel. They are the only hotel on the lot,why do you have to pay when you are spending the night. The pool was not open and hadn't been in a long time, would have been nice to know beforehand.

Check-in went smoothly, but one of the two elevators was not working resulting in a longer wait for a tiny elevator. Although we did not have a car to park, beware that they charge extra for this even thought they have a large parking lot! Also found nail clippings on the floor in the room leaving me to believe it was not cleaned appropriately. The breakfast offering left everything to be desired. Guests had to wait for coffee to be brewed and most every food offering to be made/refilled. Lastly, the listing on this property says an airport shuttle is offered, but none exists. This should not be listed if it's unavailable.

Hotel is dated but that’s ok. AC in room never really worked (hallway was much cooler). Pool was in maintenance, ice machine at least second floor never had ice. Staff was super friendly, only had bar soap provided and world’s smallest bottle of shampoo. Did have extra plugs for electronics which was nice. Booked a king no kings available given 2 doubles didn’t get a price difference. No real change in breakfast offered

Got to hotel and staff was supe weird. Lobby was stuffy and the elevator didn't work. Hotel was old looking and not kept up clean. Pool was Green and seemed like it hadn't been cleaned in months. Shower had stains and shower head was short. Hotel is Dangerous at night. Prostitute and Drug everywhere in Parking lot plus they charged me 12$ for night parking.

The location was good, they have two elevators, only one was working. The pool never opened the entire 4 days I was there. The ac made the most ear aching sound all day and night room 211. The tub had been resurfaced but it was peeling up. No attention to detail there was dust and dirt in the corners of the bathroom

I do not recommend this hotel. The room had a strong, unpleasant smell from the moment I walked in—like mildew and dampness that clearly hadn't been addressed. The cleanliness was unacceptable. The bathroom had visible mold, the shower wasn’t properly cleaned, and there were visible signs of mold on the furniture. It honestly didn’t feel sanitary or safe to stay in. It’s clear that housekeeping is not doing a thorough job, and the overall maintenance of the property is being neglected. I brought this up to the staff, but nothing was done to improve the situation. Very disappointing and definitely not worth the money. I won’t be staying here again.

Overall experience here was very poor. Check in lines were long even after 4:00. Everyone checking in was frustrated at the difficulty and wait to check in due to the noisy crowd filling the lobby. The elevators were very small, dirty and slow. We thought the doors were not going to open when the elevator stopped. The bathrooms in our room were dirty. Bathtub liner was peeling, leaving bits in the tub while trying to bathe my kids... While getting ready in the morning we saw at least 2 roaches crawling on the bathroom walls. We got out of that room as fast as possible after that and checked out too disgusted to even think about eating breakfast there. The front desk removed parking fees, that I never expected to have to pay anyways. I had to ask for some other discount giving the very poor experience we had here. Still waiting on refunds to process....

The room/hotel is very outdated and there are limited outlets in the room. The room smelled of urine, I’m not sure if it was the carpets or what. The sheets were clean though. However, the shower pooled with water… which was aggravating. They also did not have towels when needed.

We booked this hotel for 3 nights, and ended up Leaving after the first. Stepping into the elevator initially, I was grossed out, but trying to remain positive, once I got to the room itself it seemed OK at first, but upon having to take a shower, the bathroom was filthy. Shower and disgustingly dirty, as well as the area around the sink. (I have Pictures) i was grossed out so we ended up leaving. Would not recommend

This is an unkept facility. The first room tub was pilling, hair on the back of the toliet, with full size beds not queens. The second room had soap scum, smells, mold, and dust on. EVERYTHING. Multiple people were sleeping in their car which we almost elected to do. DO NOT STAU HERE.

This place is a complete disaster and desperately needs a total renovation. Nothing is up to date. Only one elevator was working, and it was downright creepy. The rooms reeked of mildew, the bathroom was filthy, the shower was disgusting, and the towels were stained and looked like they hadn’t been properly washed in ages. Absolutely unacceptable conditions for any hotel.

The 2 positives: staff was friendly and breakfast was ok. However; the property itself was in need of updates. While the hallways and interior were ok, the actual rooms were not great. Our bathroom had black mold on the ceiling tiles. The bath mat was obviously dirty and hadn’t been cleaned as it had pubic hairs on it (it was disgusting!) the room smelled, the floors were dirty, the drain in both the sink and tub didn’t work properly and the toilet was constantly on the edge of overflowing. If we hadn’t been there because we were evacuating from Helene, wouldn’t have stayed. One of the worst overall we’ve ever stayed at.

Good for a quick overnight stay. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Unable to use the heating system as a horrible odor emitted when turned on. Looked at the unit and noted the debris at the vented area. The toilet seat also needed to be replaced, cracked and peeling. Also, I was not happy that I had to pay to park in the hotel lot. I do not remember that being disclosed on the website. The one bright spot was the worker at the front desk. His service was exemplary. He addressed all of my needs with a humble attitude. We need more of him in the world today.

I don't think this hotel has ever had an upgrade since its been built. I have'nt seen bathroom fixtures like this since I was a kid and that was 55 years ago. The shower curtain and rod was falling down. I had to unplug lamps so I could plug in my USB blocks to charge my phone and IPAD. There was no place to plug in and USB I'm glad I brought some USB blocks with me. Me and my wife went down to the breakfast which was terrible. The food was a joke and the ceiling was leaking water so you couln't get anything to drink so we wound up just going out for breakfast Even a fast food breakfast would have been better. Just don't judge by the pictures of this place because I think they are from when the hotel was built. I've stayed in 2 star hotels and 5 star hotels but this place is a half star hotel. Just remember I warned you, stay at your own peril. Sorry it wouldn't let me add the video I have of the water leaking in the breakfast area and they charged me to park in thier parking lot on their property. they shouldn't allow pictures on the site now of when the hotel was new. No free parking $12.99 day. No WiFi past the 2nd floor. 1 of the 2 elevators was out of service. The other about 3 person capacity was rickety as well. it sounded and felt like it was going to fall at anytime. The button panels were about to come off the wall. Missing half the screws to hold it on. It was quicker to take the stairs. Our entire floor smelled like Marijuana day and night. The shower water pressure was the only good thing in the severely outdated bathroom, but the tub floor felt like it was going to give way and had cracks all in the bottom. Free breakfast was gone before 8am. Disappointed for sure!

The room that I booked was a deluxe King however I was not aware that there was only one AC unit inside of it, and I also wasn’t aware that the AC unit was further away from the bed then to be expected I said all that to say it was very warm in our room. It had cold moments but overall it was warm so I probably get a smaller room next time so the air and circulate a little better but overall it was OK

Upon arriving I was told I had to pay for parking, on top of already paying to stay there for 5 nights. Thought that was weird for a La Quinta. Only one elevator worked. Don’t let the pictures of this facility fool you. Catfishing guest for sure.

Hotel clerk was rude. We reserved a king bed. We got two double beds instead. We got charged $12/day for parking. Poorly disclosed. Need to be more transparent Bathroom was dirty. Shower hanger is about to fall off. Couldn’t keep the curtain closed because it’s leaning away from the tub. There is a hole in the tub floor. The shower faucet needs to be replaced.

The staff other than Collins was all rude. We got one day of room service at the four days we were there. We had to go find people to get new towels and toilet paper and only one of the elevators worked half the time. The only good thing was the beds were comfortable

The bald man at the desk was so ignorant. We had 4 reservations and they tried to tell me one was cancelled due to a decline of my credit card but all 4 were on the same credit card. Then he said all he had was double rooms which is what we had booked then he said oh now they’re gone all we have is a king size suite when no one else had checked in. When my son questioned him how that could be he stood up got ignorant and threatened to not give us any room. I would NEVER recommend ANYONE to book this hotel. When we did get a room, the bathroom floor was dirty. We were only there for one night so we stayed but I would not go back again.

Service was appalling. No one smiles or says hello as they walk around. Building needs a lot of work and it wasn’t very clean. I took a shower because the bath was a mess. We were supposed to stay two nights and left after one. La Quinta are usually our go to but this hotel puts the brand to shame

First the staff is great. Friendly, professional and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Exceptional value for the price. 1st time flying out of Louis Armstrong and the hotel was in a very convenient location. Breakfast was decent and a little late. Would give 4.5 stars if allowed.

I overall liked my stay , and hotel room was clean and staff was nice . I just didn’t like on how when I was checking in , the front desk was seating in front gossiping about me . Because I told him I forgot my wallet , when I went back inside , he didn’t know I was in line again . And was standing there with another guest talking bad about me , on how a grown man is going to forget his wallet .

The reception staff was great, friendly and very helpful. The instructions for breakfast and to the room were clear. The lobbey was clean. However, the lobby had harsh lighting, white Home Depit style tiles and lacked warmth. Parking fee was a surprise. Little choice to find free options. Outside lightning to our parked car was dim and sidewalk was uneven.

I think with some major upgrades, the place would be nice. It was very late when we arrived but usually you see some kind of light outside. The signs for the hotel weren’t lit up - it looked very doom and gloom..not very inviting. The employee behind the front desk that checked us in was extremely nice so that was a plus. Our room had a weird smell to it, kind of like the smell of Fritos/cornchips. The bathtub was very run down, you could tell it was on the older side. Rust stains on the walls and in and around the drain. We only stayed briefly since we were catching an early flight. I was thankful this hotel had availability as our group was desperate. Our flight was canceled out of the Gulfport/Biloxi airport and rebooked out of New Orleans. We didn’t have much to pick from in such short notice as every place we called did not have anything available. They also didn’t have airport transportation, which I found odd since it is so close to the airport. I wouldn’t recommend staying here more than a night, if you have the choice.

One of two elevators were broken for my entire stay. I had to have my room key refreshed everyday. The breakfast was a joke. Mystery meat for the first two days. Keilbasa on the last day. Who has keilbasa for breakfast? No eggs,no bacon. Limited quantities on the poor bagel choices,muffins,if you were lucky to get one,were stale. The hours the breakfast was ready flucuated day to day.

The elevator was unsafe, had another guest tell me that his wife got pinned by the door. Then on our second night we could hear yelling and a woman letting her child bang on the door that connected our rooms(this is where the staff comes in they were super kind and told them to stop but I continued for about 10 minutes after the staff member left) the ac didn’t work very well and their were roaches in our room. (We didn’t see them till the last night so that’s why we didn’t switch rooms.) also the breakfast was awful. The first day we went the apple juice was 99% water and 1% juice and there were only 5 items in selection for breakfast. Boiled eggs, a meat, waffles, bread/bagels, and cereal. We ended up just going to places around town to eat breakfast during our stay minus the last day cause we had to leave so early so we decided to go back. Same thing. Awful. And the waffle batter tasted rancid. The staff was super friendly so I was thankful for that but this place just isn’t somewhere you should stay ESPECIALLY if you have young children, that elevator alone will get someone hurt or worse

Awful! Has to pay $12 for parking but no security and dark parking lot. Room was ok but bathroom was nasty. Shower temp kept changing temp and was outdated. Breakfast was nonexistent…we tried 3 times to get anything but there was nothing and breakfast lady was so rude. Save your money on this one!
