The bed was hard. There was only one thin blanket on the bed, only slightly thicker than a sheet. I asked TWICE that a warmer comforter be brought up. There were finally two extra (but also incredibly thin) blankets sitting on the bed when we got back at the end of the day, but I waited an extra hour for Housekeeping to bring the blankets BEFORE we left for the day, cutting into my exploring the city time. It was absolutely FREEZING in that room with that one thin blanket even with the AC turned all the way off. The charge for valet parking was absurd. $49.00 a day. Absolutely outrageous. We were never told the vehicle had to be retrieved by 2 pm, otherwise there would be a $20.00 late fee that had to be paid in cash. So, imagine our shock and surprise when we picked up our car at 4:30 and had no cash on us and had to pay even more for the valet service. That was disappointing and a total rip-off. That all being said, the hotel was beautiful, conveniently located, and the staff was unbelievably kind and friendly, though not always helpful.

Wonderful hotel and staff, loved the security feature of having to present your key to get in after 10 pm and scanning your key in the elevator to get to your floor. Beds were super comfy and the room was super clean. Very kind front desk staff. Loved the proximity to bourbon st and restaurants/shopping.

Overall it was ok but won't stay there again mainly because of the uncomfortable bed which was EXTRA hard that it felt very bad while trying to sleep on your side. The other reason is that there's a "$25 resort fee" per day. That may have been disclosed but i didn't know about it until i was checking in. The reason i picked that hotel was because it was a little cheaper than my other option, but with that resort fee, i ended up paying more. They give you these coupons for drinks and a free tour at some far away bar so definitely not happy about it in general. Other than that, it was a normal hotel with a working air conditioner.

Great hotel to stay at10/10 for cleanliness and customer service but 1/10 for the hidden fee charged by the hotel of $27 on daily stay which is not mentioned by hotels.com because they say if you are interested you can get a discount on tours (Which you can get anywhere) and two free drinks ate their restaurant once and it's charged no matter what, if you use it or not. Besides that it is a nice place and right around the corner from Bourban St central.

The elevator situation can be very frustrating espesicially when large tour bises ( with large groups arrive makes navigation throughout the hotel impossible wth onl one working elevator.Call OTIS Elevator for a repair.Luggage removal & getting to you room was a huge waiting game due to the one elevators non existant working status.The rest of the hotel is too nice of a venue to continue to operate with no way to move happy patrons.

This place is old and so dirty. Random doors open. I felt like I was staying in a hostel. The pool was not accessible and it was the main reason why I booked. The front desk even gave me a green wristband knowing the pool wasn’t accessible and from what I could see it was dirty and nothing like the pictures. I will never book here again

I enjoyed staying here until the elevators went out on the 2nd day of our 4 day trip. We had to find our way to the third floor through a series of stairwells, none directly to the third floor. As we checked out I had to carry all luggage down these maze of stairs due to my friend being pregnant. The staff wasn’t as friendly as I expected or use to but the rooms were quite comfortable. My next trip I will not be staying at Astor. Thanks

Incredibly long wait to park and retrieve my vehicle from the parking valet. I waited an hour to park and over an hour to get my car back. The only option that you have is valet parking so I find the extreme with time to be unacceptable.

Bathroom floor was very sticky upon arrival. Reported to staff with no action taken. Being on the intersection of Canal and Boyrbon Streets, the noise from outside continued until 4 am and did disturb our sleep. General maintenance of hotel was not maintained, including our room door which was a struggle to close and secure.

There were no blankets for neither of the beds just two sheets to sleep with. Everything was dusty. The mirrors were dusty. We had to wipe off with towels. The sink and bathtub in the bathrooms were not draining. The water would just sit there. Refrigerator smelled like ass. The remote was nowhere to be found. The countertop in the bathroom was very dirty as well.

Where do i begin, front desk , the lobby folks were very friendly and kind check in n out was easy and quick. Lets get the room my door handle was loose, cracked walls the fridge was dirty the entry door dirty some small holes around the frames. The carpets in the hallway and the room dirt. The hallway paint chipping, the boraders cracked dirt. Overall a mess oh wait the toilet was sitting sooooo low if i had back snd knee problems i would've been trouble. Crowne Plaza used to my top hotel. I know haven't been here in 8 years but it needs major work.

Rooms weren’t clean, bathroom floors were sticky, blood stained curtain, no mini fridge, no fan in the bathroom, very disorganized and unhelpful staff, outrageous charges and prices, AC never kicked on even when we lowered it to 65, breakfast wasn’t very much of a thing. The location of this hotel was great, and everyone was very helpful at the counter and valet in person. The room was pretty dirty. Our tub and sink had cracks, paint was missing above our room and our ironing board was broken and they said they couldn’t replace it. We all received bedbug bites our last night. I called the lower lobby to speak to a manager, and I was put on hold for a while. Eventually, we had to just fall asleep because we had to travel in the morning.

My room was very damp, room 4448. It had a wet damp feeling on the rug the sheets the air, along with a wet mildew smell. The bed made noises every time I moved. I got zero sleep. The toilet would sometimes flush and other times not, and would randomly make a loud recycling flushing noise multiple times throughout the night. I was very glad I only had one night here because there was no way I was going to stay an additional night. The only positive was the location.

The staff were very professional, however the room smells, the room we stayed in had bed bugs. The manager and team were made aware of it (I showed them the video of the bedbugs crawing on the headboards) and they told me they will contain the room and clean it and do proper inspection for the next guests. The ice machine was very dirty. The location is wonderful.

Rooms were clean but dated and could use some maintenance (e.g. plug in bath was broken, when the shower ran the sink tap leaked, broken toilet seat). There doesnt seem to be any extraction so the rooms smelt a bit damp. Location was great and our room was pretty quiet for such a busy area. The staff were lovely and helpful, especially the breakfast staff we met.

The hotel is very convenient as you are in walking distance to bourbon street. We were told after checking in that the AC went out a few days ago but they were working on it. Our first room was extremely hot. Maurice got us moved into a better room with AC and I appreciate all his help during our stay! He was the best. I do think the valet parking is a rip off and they take forever to bring your car. Also get a receipt when you check out because they have fees for literally everything. Also, I do think we should have received something for our initial inconvenience because the first room was literally 84 degrees and it was an high of 90 or more during our stay in Nola.

The location was the awesome! However, there was only one person behind the desk during check in hours! So, check in took way longer than expected. After receiving our room entry cards, we went to our room and found the ceiling leaking water all over the nightstand! The air unit in that room sounded like a freight train! I went back to the desk to inform them of this, only to have to stand in that long line AGAIN with one desk clerk! We received a new room assignment which was good! We had to request towels twice before finally receiving them! On our last night, the air conditioning went out. It was 77 degrees in our room! After speaking with other guests, it appeared that the air went out in the entire building! This hotel is quite dated and needs some serious renovations!!

I made this reservation online and paid for everything online. In the description it said parking available. Once we arrived we had to either pay for valet parking or park in the hotel parking lot and was charged an additional $90. When we checked in they asked me to give them a card to keep on file. I now have a $55 charge on my card and was not explained what this was for. I tried to call the hotel multiple times to figure out what the $55 charge was for and I cannot get anyone to answer the phone.

Be careful when staying here. I just found out I should have had free drinks daily and other perks while staying here. Which I had to pay extra for even though I didn’t receive it. I was never told so I feel like the person who checked us in kept the drinking tickets and “perks” we were supposed to receive. So make sure you ask for the perks or they will rob you. She never mentioned it to us. The hotel rooms are dated.

I have phoned the hotel trying to speak to someone in accounting. My debit card was charged $362 for incidentals, including valet. We did not have a car we flew in and used Ubers. As of today, June 4 I have received a partial refund. I received $221.96 with no explanation and no one has called me after I’ve called twice today I feel I am still owed $110 and 20.$110.24 as I had no charges and I had not brought my vehicle with me.

Staff at night doesn't communicate with staff during the day. Had to swap rooms 3 times due to a miscommunication that occured before I booked about where would be quiet. After finally getting a quiet room they promised late checkout to accommodate inconveniences and then rescinded that as well. Horrible staff and service.

The location is perfect. Located at the corner of Bourbon and Canal, this hotel is close to everything. The rooms are good size with comfortable beds. Though ours was not advertised as having a refrigerator, it did, so that was a pleasant surprise. We did have some issues with service. The front desk was understaffed and it took longer than it should have to check in. Also, we had to hound them to finally get housekeeping to clean our room. Overall, however, a very good stay.

Thank you for reaching out to me. We are disappointed in our stay at the Crown Plaza New Orleans French Qtr. We requested 3 of our 4 nights for someone to fix the shower/tub. More water was going in the tub than coming out of the shower head. We also had an issue getting fresh towels and wash clothes. Multiple request lead me to go to the cleaning person and receive them from her. They lost my fedex delivery. I asked many times if it had arrived, I got the same answer NO! Only when I had a Fedex representative on the phone they found it! It was a medical device for my knee so I couldn't go anywhere until I had it. It arrived at 6 am and the front desk didn't find it until approximately 11 am. Very disappointing stay. Sandra Bergeron

Was supposed to check in at 4, arrived around 6 after a tour and the room wasn’t ready. Front desk lady told me the first time I’d get a text, never did. I sat in the lobby for about 45 minutes and noticed other people arriving and getting their room keys. I got back into the line and I ended up being helped by the same lady. I asked her for an update on my room since I never got a text, she proceed d to ignore me and continued checking me in and gave me my key: Booked French quarter view, got the view of an abandoned building instead. Overall it could’ve been a better experience .

All the staff was great and very helpful. Especially the concierge. She was great setting everything up for us. She was very patient explaining our options snd she knew the city and how the tours very well. The location is perfect. Corner of Bourbon and Canal. Transportation is right outside the door and the French Quarter is walkable from the hotel.

The location was great for walking and they were able to accommodate our early arrival. There is peeling paint all along the floorboards and what appears to be mold on upper part of the walls, in several places in the hallway. In our room, the high ceilings were nice and the beds were comfortable, but we had no seating available even though there was enough space to put another king sized bed plus in the room. We had 2 workers try to get into our room while we were there, the first one did knock and state she was from housekeeping, but didn't give us a second to respond, the second one did not even knock and just opened the door. The food in the restaurant was good, but a bit pricey. We paid over $140 for a lunch consisting of 3 appetizers, a salad and 2 drinks.

I definitely enjoyed my stay and would love to come back! The staff was excellent! Friendly and courteous. The room was nice and we were right next to Bourbon street! Fun right around the corner and the food options were never ending! Great stay! The restaurant in the hotel was fantastic!!

I could smell marijuana both nights in the hall of the floor that I was staying on. I told the hotel staff several times and nothing was done about it. I never seen security at the hotel, they might have been there but I never visibly seen any. People were standing just outside the front of the front door to the hotel smoking marijuana. There are a lot of hidden fees associated with staying at this hotel. A $25.00 destination fee per day. Make sure you know all hidden costs ahead of time. They also charge a security deposit. The lobby was so loud the night that I checked in I couldn’t hear anything that the person at the hotel desk was saying. The breakfast at the hotel is not very good. The only drink that comes with the buffet is water. The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. The hotel has a good location besides people being allowed to openly smoke marijuana just outside the front door.

The staff was fantastic, conveniently located with a restaurant right there and many others right around the corner. There are many homeless in this area but for the most part stayed away from the hotel. It does need a little upkeep/maintenance otherwise it was great!
