Hotel was VERY convenient to WWII Museum ... only valet parking ... but we found parking nearby. So, no problem. STAFF was AMAZING ... EVERY SINGLE PERSON WHO WORKED THERE was friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and eager to help. Bravo Holiday Inn!!!!!

Overall it was amazing, workers was nice and friendly. The pictures listed was actually accurate. Only thing i didn’t like was the parking. Only valet parking which is $40-45 a night. Parking in the back of the hotel is $50. 8.5/10! *bring an extension cord… my boyfriend couldn’t play his game😂*

You can only valet your car & its $50 a night and it takes over 15 min to get your car each time

The front doors of the hotel stay locked because of all of the crime nearby. They don't have secure parking. I spent one night. When I left the hotel the next morning at 05:00 my vehicle and multiple others were broken into. I would not suggest anyone with a vehicle stay at this location.

My only complaint with this hotel is that the parking lot behind it is "Premium Parking" and it costs like 50$ a night to park there. It kept saying it was "Event Pricing" and no one knew what this was, even the parking lot attendant - nothing was done about it though. It is better to park on the road for less and walk over. Still, it was a quiet, pleasant stay. The staff were super nice and helpful.

The staff was amazing. The Parking in the back was unsafe. The valet is $54 a day. I think this should be noted for future customers. The building is old and has damage to walls bathroom etc. The breakfast was limited but good for the limited selection. The pancake maker was broken. The fruit was limited to apples and oranges. The staff took the win for this establishment.

We booked a King bed with extra room. When we got there they gave us a double room and then tried to tell us that the double was more expensive than the king. Staff was not helpful at all. They were worried about the cars parked in the back because they keep getting broken into

We booked a room through Hotels.com for a king size bed. When arriving at the hotel, we were assigned a queen size bed. When we questioned it downstairs with the front desk, they informed us that Hotels.com had booked us in a queen room and they were sold out and that there was nothing they could do. We called Hotels.com to be informed that no we had booked a king room and a king room was what we should’ve gotten however, we did not. The room was very small for 2 large women. The shower was full of mold or mildew and loose caulking. I was overcharged $20 on my card for parking. The 2 ladies at the front desk on Sunday morning were very nice.

The best thing about this hotel is the location - if you are going to the World War II museum, this is ideal, very short walk, you can see it from the lobby doors. The parking was scary at night. It was probably safe enough, but arriving in a dark lot, strewn with garbage, with an unfamiliar parking pay system and not knowing how to access the hotel was unsettling. Our room was not as clean as hoped for. The bedding appeared to be very clean. The carpet was visibly dirty. The elevator was maybe the worse I have ever been in - strewn with trash, walls gouged, spills. Our room was hot. The first night the temp came down to 74. The second night we arrived to our room 77 degrees. A nice young man came and tweaked something in the AC system and it did cool after this. Also good, the info given was that our room would not be cleaned, but it was. I generally like Holiday Inn Express hotels. The neighborhood, the parking, the AC, made this hotel a not-so-good experience.

Not maintained properly. The ceiling of my room has evidenced of water leakage and same on the floor. The flooring is uneven and peeling off from a water damage. There’s only one small window and when I open the curtains the only thing I see is a wall from the next building. The carpet also has stain and I noticed that they don’t vacuum daily. There was a small paper towel that I intentionally didn’t pick it up and when I returned that night to my hotel, it’s still there.

Patrice supplied most of the breakfasts during my stay and was remarkable for her ability to work hard, design a good breakfast and interact well with customers like me. The room itself had many maintenance issues such as missing a window shade, a little mold in the bathroom, filthy carpet. loose bathroom fixture, confusing TV and recontrol options, etc. Trash in the stairwell - although I mentioned it twice to different staff peope - was never removed.

The clerk was very nice and accomodating. The room was the worst ive been in. Things were broken and smelled bad. The tv was out also.

Bathroom floor was dirty when we arrived (muddy footprints on floor and b in the shower). Still wasn't cleaned the next day. We put down towels. Speaking of.... When we got to the broom no bath towels were provided. Breakfast was pretty minimal as well. Shower for was not attached firmly flopped loose

Hotel was ok but rooms were not clean at all. Walking barefoot in the hotel room left my feet black like I’d been walking on the street outside. I waited in the lobby 20 minutes to check in because the front desk was unattended. I even called the hotel repeatedly trying to get someone to assist but got no answer. My card was double charged for my stay and I had to call my bank to dispute the charge because the girl who answered the phone when I called the hotel was rude and hung up in my face. I’ll never stay here again.

In the first room we were in, the toilet hadn't even been flushed, much less cleaned. I went to take a shower, giving the other a once off, just to find hair and other things in the tub.. Needless to say, we ended up in a second room.....

We stayed for 5 nights and no day our carpets were vacuumed nor our floor mopped. It stains my bare feet evrytime!

Room door was hard to get in and my room didn’t get colder then 74 degrees at night.

We were welcomed by 2 super friendly ladies at the front desk. It was very quick and easy to check in and check out. No wait at all!!! The rooms are super small but that’s not a problem because we were not in the room much. One warning is, they are in the middle of ordering blinds for the window in the bathroom. It is on back order. So NO cover at all. Let’s hope when you come out of the shower naked, nobody on the other window is looking down or into your window and sees your naked body before you get dressed.

Room was very small like a closet.

Decent stay. First room they checked me into didn’t have window shades and was on the front(traffic) side of the building. Very good about getting me in a room with shades and a quieter location. Water pressure was not great. The first night the water temp was warmish and the second night it was just barely tolerable. Also, when you turned the hot water on full in the sink, it sounded like someone was jack hammering on the pipes. When I brought this up at check out, the front desk just apologized and said that they have been working on the plumbing. I’m glad they were sorry but they didn’t offer any compensation. I am sick of hotels doing this and I will start demanding some kind of compensation. When you book a room you exchange your money for a room with certain services like a hot shower or Wi-Fi. When these are not provided for whatever reason, there should be some kind of compensation other than “I’m sorry”. You hold up your end and pay the price they ask, but they don’t always hold up their end and provide the services and amenities that you are paying for. Other things…the breakfast was very good with various choices, and the front desk staff and valet staff were very friendly, helpful, and professional.

Room noisy from some banshee like wailing of machinery.

The room was so humid that our bedding was damp, and it did not cool down the whole night. When maintenance came and looked, water was dripping out of the ceiling. We switched rooms and in the second room, the tub was chipped and cracked, and there was water damage on the ceiling in the room. The staff was very accommodating but ultimately we had to move hotels. We did receive a full refund for our stay which was appreciated.

Wasn't happy, I never knew that hotels had bunk beds. We didn't appreciate having to sleep in bunk beds, we had to sleep with the lights on so we wouldn't forget that we were in bu nk beds and bump our heads throughout the night when we got up to use the restroom.

We have stayed here once about 7 years ago, and since then they have remodeled the property. Obviously they have made a lot more rooms, but at the expense of making them smaller. The hallways are a maze, hard to find your way around. Our room’s only window looked out into a hallway. The water pipes in the wall made extremely loud noises, very disturbing during the night. The staff was very kind and accommodating, but the remodeled hotel leaves a lot to be desired.

Other than the last night we were there everything was great. The a/c wasn’t working & the room was warm.

Three night stay. The best thing about this stay was the convenient location. 10 mins walk to the train station and an easy walk to both the Garden District and the French Quarter. The St Charles Streetcar passes right out front. It is also right next to the National WW2 Museum. The room though was small and the window was into an internal hallway. Bathroom size ok and both room and bathroom were clean. The room safe was locked and in the back of a closet with no light. There is a fridge, microwave and coffee machine. It was quiet and I had good sleeps. There is no guest laundry and no laundry service at all. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Poor wifi, slow and constantly cut out. Breakfast was included, but options and quality were generally not great. I would look for another option next time.

I was worried because some of the reviews but the staff was excellent, friendly, accommodating, greeted us every time we came back into the hotel. Let us check in early after a 18 hr drive(VERY THANKFUL FOR THAT). The stop for the street car we needed the most was only a block away. We used the valet services and had no problems, we only took the car for out of downtown activities. The Valet does not use the parking lot behind the hotel, that parking lot is a 3rd party parking lot(FYI). The breakfast was fresh. They tried to mix up the options day by day even by a little. It’s in a downtown area but I live in Omaha, I’m use to the strange things that happen in downtown areas. I was here a week. It was mostly quiet, except Friday and Saturday morning around 9 am when everyone was getting breakfast. Overall a good experience and would recommend staying here.

Poor service and the rooms did not have tv remotes. The Manager and the CEO was rude and No help at all with any questions. I do not recommend anyone stay at this Hotel.

Had a great stay! The Front Office staff were so friendly and welcoming — they really set the tone for a positive experience. Housekeeping did a wonderful job keeping everything clean, and the room was comfortable and relaxing. The bathroom could use a little updating, but it was clean and functional. Overall, a very pleasant stay with excellent service!

Kim at the front desk was very rude and nonchalant

One young lady who was the front desk staff verbally abused and threatened my Mother who is a senior. One of the beds was broken and the bottom world rise from the floor when anyone would attempt to lie on it. After addressing the desk clerk of the issue, we were moved to another room without being notified or given new key cards. As a result, housekeeping entered into the room without knocking and my family members were getting dressed. We were never provided another room. Valet parking was horrible. One night, I had to park a block away and I retrieved my car myself the next morning. We were refunded for that day but our cars were never parked in the parking garage that we were told was six blocks away. I did encounter two very nice desk clerks one whose name I can’t remember and the other’s name is Ruby. The ladies who provided breakfast were very kind as well. I don’t recommend that anyone stays at this hotel until there is a restructure of staff and the valet service. I essentially paid to be verbally assaulted, park my own car, and sleep in a broken bed. I was not offered compensation, only empty apologies.

Very clean. Staff was helpful and courteous. This hotel is close to the super dome. The streetcar runs right by the hotel.

Nice hotel near-ish to the Convention Center and French Quarter. Is is right on the trolley line. Nice staff.

Clean rooms, great location and walking distance to a lot of things

Close enough to Bourbon Street to be there in minutes; distant enough not to have to hear and see the traffic of Bourbon Street; close to the Arts/Cultural District to really see the beauty of the city; within 15 minutes of any venue desired. Reasonable cost factor.

Everything to do was in walking distance and the staff and manager were top ten.

The location was about 22 minutes walking going to Canal Street or Bourbon Street, 2 minutes from WWII museum. it' a safe place to walk. The property is respectably clean and the night front desk (who i interacted with) I forgot her name, is super, super kind, and willing to help. The room space is small for party of five, but the bed, pillows is comfy, love the shower. The parking is far 10 mins walk, and gated, which i did not like so inconvenient to use my car at late night, because i have to walk 10 to 12 minutes back to a hotel. if you valet its $50, if it's self-park it's $25. Breakfast is not the best but grateful. overall, it's a good, safe, friendly, family place.

Our stay was great...quiet area but close to everything..riverfront, French quarter, museums and restaurants. Comfy bed and pillows and very affordable rates.

The room needs some re-modelling. The shower splashes so much water onto the floor that it has warped the flooring of the main room; the frame of the lower bathroom door is loose, and there is some mildew staining in the shower. It is an excellent location for the museums and the arts; and a manageble walk to the French Quarter.

Extremely close to the National WWII museum.

No frills hotel in NOLA. Clean and simple. We liked having the included breakfast bar available before we went out for the day. Good location that is in between the quarter and the garden district with easy public transit access to both. We walked the 20 min walk back from the quarter nightly with ease and felt safe.

Also WWII museum was just around the corner. Would definitely stay again. Only issue is parking. They do have valet but it you park in the lot directly behind the hotel it is very expensive. Lot is not part of the hotel so just know it will cost you quite a bit. Hotel was nice and quiet.

Breakfast was terrible. Pancake machine didn’t work. Ran out of bacon an hour into breakfast service.

Good location. Staff are all super nice and helpful. Breakfast is a waste of time. Only Holiday inn I have ever stayed at with a breakfast this bad. eggs and potatoes thats it every morning. Valvet staff was absolutely great!

I liked the fact that you could catch a bus or streetcar pretty easily. Staff was nice. I didn’t like having to pay for parking but the rates were reasonable. Breakfast was good one morning and not so great the next morning. It seemed that only one person was working the breakfast bar and she had a lot to do for one person. That said, there was a good variety to choose from.

The first days breakfast was disappointing. They had no jelly for toast, and the pancake maker was broken and my cinnamon bun was frozen. The other two days were better but the pancake machine still broken. It needs to be removed from the food area.

Excellent customer service, the breakfast was very good, only downside was if you didn’t arrive early for breakfast when things ran out they weren’t always replaced. I would stay here again.
