Parking is in the street on there’s a parking garage that’s $30 a day ! The he building is very old and out dated doesn’t look much like the pictures. My room had windows but you could see anything out of them. The sheets were stained. The restroom look old and wore out. The place need to be remodeled.

I stayed in room 707 and there was a leak from a metal spout in the ceiling that dripped into the tube. Other than that I enjoyed my stay at the Blake. He only other issue was the valet parking price. It’s almost $60 per day.

The front desk staff was pleasant however the room wasn’t expected- looked like a mini dorm. They only provided one face towel at a time, after room is cleaned. The shower water pressure was low and the water was slowly drained like it was clogged. The window view was nice however the tint on the window was messed up ruining the view a bit. Valet parking was over-priced. Wouldn’t make my top 15 hotel.

The property does not have a parking area ... we used a public parking garage. The restaurant/bar was good but didn't stay open late ... I did feel safe ... I will stay at the Blake again.

Parking was a big problem for us when we got to the hotel. We had to park in the public garage and it would’ve made us paid everytime we left the garage. The hotel offers valet for $50 a night but I think they just park it in the garage also. The Public parking garage is not attached to the hotel so we had to drag our luggage out and down, around the building and then back up to our room. As soon as we got into the parking garage it closed the entrance around 7pm so we felt like we couldn’t leave once we parked. The garage was very complicated to navigate and the hotel didn’t really assist us in anyway when it came to parking. Parking on the street wasn’t really an option for us. So I paid $60 parking fees for two nights. Nevertheless, The hotel was great for us because we had our dog and we were right next to Lafayette square so we can walk him there. The trolley cart is easy accessible and it’s a little over a mile walk to Jackson square. I love that there was a Starbucks right across the street and a French truck cafe right next to the hotel. We did uber eats to explore options nearby and it was great. The hotel was great overall if you don’t mind the parking situation.

Had to book a last minute trip and didn’t do much research on this place. It’s not a flea bag or anything but definitely not the cleanest hotel I’ve stayed. The hot water also did not work in my room, maintenance came and fixed it the first night but it was out again the next. Pretty meh all around.

The best part about this hotel is the location and the employees. It is in a very great location, close to everything you will want to see. The staff is very nice and welcoming, and also very helpful. The rooms however are gross. The hotel really needs a full renovation. There was mold in the hallway, stains on the bed, hair in the tub, the walls are peeling, the ceiling was leaking, it has a bad smell. So much for the beautiful views of the city, because there is some kind of glue residue on the windows and blocking any and everything. I would never ever stay here again. Water takes forever to get hot, the cable messes up badly, beds are extremely old and squeaky. I was charged an incident fee that I knew nothing about prior. Very odd for such a gross hotel. I do not recommend staying here! We booked for 1 night as we arrived in town a night early. The room was not clean, the toilet ran all night and the tub did not drain properly when taking a shower. The Hallways we nasty, mold on the ceilings, ceilings cracking everywhere in room and in hallway, the fllors were so dirty where ice machines use to be. Also it is not a quiet hotel at all!!! Doors slamming at all hours and yelling and screaming and front desk just laughed about it all.

The property lobby smelled like sewer water, I had to get moved to a different room because my original room was dirty, the tub wasn’t clean, the water in the sink wasn’t draining, and the appliances in the room were broken. When I got moved to the second room is was not better.

The room had a damp odor, and some of the hotel's windows were broken out. The microwave and refrigerator were in a cupboard that was completely rotted, as if it had been damaged by water. The restroom was filthy, as if someone had recently showered. The ceiling was dripping. In general, the motel was filthy and unpleasant. I'm never going to stay there again.

Staff was amazing and very helpful. Great location with streetcars accessible to wonder out. We paid more for a corner view room which was clean and spacious, but the windows were horrible! The view through the stained, moldy and bird poop windows was terrible and not worth the upgrade. Every day looked like it was rainy and dreary even if it was a nice warm sunny day. The windows all around need immediate attention! I would stay again but not pay more for the view.

Took about 10 minutes of running water to get any warmth in water in shower. Air conditioner was extremely noisy. Sounded like a jet engine and couldn’t change fan speed. Bed was uncomfortable. Sag in middle of bed.

The room we had closed off from any view. So suffocated it feels like prison room. Tv was took a lot trying to make it work. All and all we had a terrible experience. We will never go back to that hotel.

Very nice hotel & close to major attractions. I stayed during Essence fest. The staff was very friendly, helpful & welcoming. Due to the extreme heat, the lobby area was extremely warm but the staff gave excellent service with a smile. That alone makes them stellar! I have zero complaints & would only hope the management of this hotel will make proper accommodations for their staff to combat the extreme heat due to the constant opening & closing of the front lobby doors. No employee should have to endure that! The staff still provided top tier service even while sweating bullets! I applaud each & every one of you! Job well done! I would definitely stay here again.

Our room wasn’t ready for at least an hour after check in, which caused me to have to change in the lobby bathroom and be late for my dinner reservation. I also had to bring my luggage to dinner. Concierge showed no real effort to fix the issue, giving the excuse that the room wasn’t ready bc I had upgraded to a nicer room. Idk why having a nicer room would make me have to wait longer. When I finally did get back to the hotel at 11, I only had my room key and no actual directions. When I did finally find the room, the keys didn’t work, so I had to go back downstairs and have them issue me new keys. Not a good experience, I won’t be coming back.

By far one of the worse hotels when it comes to follow through and cleanliness. I arrived Friday for a bachelorette party and the room was clean, when I left on Saturday morning I assumed the maintenance workers would come and clean the room, things expected when you book a hotel but no one came to clean it. I then went down to the front desk and told the front desk worker and they assured me someone would tend to the room. I stepped out again along with my roommate hoping when we returned the room would be cleaned and unfortunately it wasn’t. I then spoke to the manager Natasha and she reassured someone would clean it, this being around 4:30pm- when I returned again the room still not cleaned. Not only was it disappointing but frustrating that I had to go down and consistently ask and no follow through. On Sunday my last day before I headed out I deliberately left early for brunch and asked the manager can someone please clean my room to my surprise she was apologetic for not following through and told me they would credit me a day and reassured me again the room would be cleaned. I get back to the hotel that Afternoon and the room still wasn’t cleaned. At this point I’m furious, not only did she not follow through again but my room hasn’t been cleaned since I arrived. Ultimately the reason I stayed in a hotel and not an air bnb is because I appreciate that service and it wasn’t provided at all. This was a major disappointment.

First room I was given, the door wouldn’t open. Had to go back downstairs, wait for someone else to come up and confirm it wouldn’t open, then finally get another room assigned. Got in this room, no shower curtain up. Something that looked like poo smeared on the ceiling in the bathroom. Next day when I returned to my room my key didn’t work. Other than that I guess it was fine, you get what you pay for. Oh the coffee was not good either. How do you mess up coffee in 2025.

Very good location. Walking distance to burbon street and Jackson square. Cable car pick up just a short distance from the hotel. The restaurant was reasonable and the food we ordered was tasty. The staff was very nice.

The Blake is located in a great location. There is a Hop On Hop Off Stop right across the street which we took to the Garden District. The Blake is walking distance to the WWII Museum, Caesar's Palace Casino, and Bourbon Street/French Quarter. Great restaurants are within walking distance like the famous Mother's Restaurant and the Chop House. On Wednesdays, the park next door has live music and food/drink vendors.

Impulsive trip to Essence Fest so many places were booked. I picked this place due to the location (walkable to convention center and the Superdome). You can catch the trolley to Bourban Street. It also had a microwave and fridge. Room was ok. Could have been cleaner. Things are dated. Edges are rough. There was rust on the door lock and the key didn’t work right away. It just feels old and worn. But the bes was comfy and sheets were clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. They were very, very nice. There is a brunch downstairs. I didn’t try it. Overall the trip sucked cuz the airline lost my bag but this is a decent location. Kinda far from the action but still in the mix.

I think this is most probably the best customer service hotel I have ever stayed at. Keep up the good work the lobby is absolutely stunning. The attached restaurant has delicious meal options.

It was clean but very much dated. Room and facilities look nothing like online photos. Rooms and baths were small. Bathrooms very outdated. Staff made up for it. Very courteous, helpful, and attentative to whatever you needed. Very walkable to canal street and good places to eat. The restaurant connected to hotel was awesome, great breakfast and service.
