Beautiful hotel, parking was off site a block down though

The hotel is in a good position in the French Quarter. A fifteen to twenty minutes walk from almost everything. The housekeeping staff were very nice and accommodating. However I was disappointed at a few lacking amenities such as a microwave, a working phone in the room, a helpful front desk staff and reliable plumbing. The water, coffee and tea station in the lobby was a nice to have.

We pre-paid our stay but when we checked in we were charged and undisclosed additional amenity fee of $50. I was then told it was for the free wifi and coffee that could only be obtained in the lobby since there were no coffee makers in the rooms. The hotel was in a good location with an attached restaurant and the room was nice although you could feel the unlevel original flooring under the laminated flooring which creaked as you walk on it.

They don't have a parking at the site, it was a problem. The parking they send me, it was safe and good.

Loved the location of the property. Easily walkable to anywhere you want to go. We didn't drive the entire stay. The parking is self-parking, but you have to park a couple of blocks away from the hotel in a parking garage and walk back to the hotel. It was fine for us, but not ideal for anyone with disabilities who cannot walk far. We stayed in a Suite and it was lovely and worth the $.

It was just ok. No amenities no pool no restaurant, nothing. Just your basic hotel. Room was nicely put together and clean but plumbing needs serious work in room 420. Toilet does not flush. Staff was nice enough but doesn’t go above and beyond like other hotels. There were two instances where I was a little shocked with the hotels response but overall it was an ok stay. No serious complaints

Parking was kinda like find your out but we were able to find a close enough parking lot! Pay in advance for parking or they will put a boot on your car!

The overall hotel was in a good condition. Room stayed cold which is a plus! Only downside to the stay is that your parking for the hotel that you pay for is self parking and blocks away from the hotel.

They cleaned the rooms with a for Frere Grace that was overpowering. Had to let the room air out before we could stay in there. The parking is two blocks away. I was supposed to receive one night free parking and they charged me. I went down there and asked it to be removed, but it wasn’t removed.

I wouldnt stay here checked into my room blood stains on the sheets. told front desk moved to another room and 1 bed had stained sheets and the other bed sheets were never changed.

The location for this property is great. Close enough to the action but far enough to be quieter. The bed was comfortable and clean but the rest of the room definitely could have used a more thorough cleaning.

The hotel wasn’t the cleanest I don’t think the ever vacuumed the hallway while we were there.

Had a wonderful stay. Easy check in, rooms were clean, plenty of towels. Staff was friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a very clean, quiet wonderful hotel!

The sheets were damp, the bathroom smelled like sewage, and the room overall was dank. Nothing felt clean, the hallway was filthy, and there was a smell throughout the hotel as if gas was escaping. The complimentary hot water also has residue in it. Thankfully they provided bottles of water. Very disappointing stay, especially for the price. Only good thing was the location, right in the French Quarter and close to the riverfront.

The rooms are smaller than they appear in the advertisements, the room I got was nothing like the photographs and the worst thing was that at night I found a huge cockroach walking down the hallway outside my room.

I booked this room with my friend while we were in New Orleans for a bit. The room was awful. It was not clean in the slightest. Honestly the table in the room looked like it had blood on it first of all, no idea if it actually was or not. The lamp on the table was covered in brown stuff and red dots in addition to a ton of dust. The beds were lumpy and difficult to sleep on in addition to very creaky every time we moved, the floors had white specks all over them. Not sure what those were. The bathroom was difficult to feel comfortable showering in as the floors of the shower were a blackish color, the common areas such as the hallway were also covered in white specks that didn’t look like it was part of the carpet pattern. Also the neighborhood just felt iffy walking around in. I told the staff and they did ask how they could improve our zxperience at the hotel, but my friend and I just felt more comfortable staying at a diff hotel and checked out after one night.

Room was spotless and the staff was always helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay there again.

This was a nice basic New Orleans hotel in a VERY convenient location to Bourbon St., the French Quarter, the River and shopping. We walked to everything. The room was quite small and did not have a desk or a view, but it was clean, quiet and comfortable.

Staff was really nice! They let us check in early and held onto our bags after check out. The location was very convenient. A 10 min from the convention center and a 2-3 min walk to Bourbon street. The free gym access was also a huge plus. The only small inconvenience was how tiny the bathroom was. It was hard for my partner and I to get ready without running into each other

Little noisy outside, especially at 6:30 when dumpsters were being picked up. Not really the hotels fault tho.

Cute boutique hotel. In a great location. Room has fridge and microwave, wood floors, comfy bed. The sink had a little issue with being stopped up but other than that it worked. Shower was hot. Water pressure was decent. AC works excellent. Front desk was accommodating. I would definitley stay here again. Oh and the price point was reasonable.

We were offered upgrades via email for 11 dollars a night but did not take one- one was having a room close to the elevator- we did however end up in room 206 which literally has the elevator shaft in the room and its very noisy. Thankfully we did not spend much time in the room so it did not bother us much. If it would have been a longer trip it would have been annoying.

To start, the staff is very nice. The room was not the worst I’ve ever been in, but I think it definitely could use some improvements. The only table in the room is the night stand between the two beds. Leaving nowhere to put anything. I ended up using the ironing board to put some stuff on but it was really stained so I think everyone uses it for food. The bathroom is extremely tight and has a pedestal sink with no counter space so getting ready to go out can be a little bit of a challenge. If you get an email for upgrades don’t bother. I paid for a few of the upgrades (~$150) for a room away from the elevator, top floor and spacious room but wasn’t on the top floor (I could hear people walking above me)and the room didn’t seem that big. I think the hotel could use some updates; the drawer of the nightstand is stained from an adult toy from a previous guest which was off putting, the remote was covered in some sort of adhesive, and the light fixtures are rusting. Given the price, it wasn’t bad given its close proximity to Canal Street, Bourbon Street and the riverwalk. If you stay here definitely check out the Ruby slipper across the street for breakfast it was delicious. Overall I think this was good enough for my trip, it was in a great location but if I were to come back to the city I would splurge a little more for a different hotel.

Nice place. staff is very friendly. The room was clean. No window in room 200 and you can hear people walking in the room above you. Located in the French quarters that allows you to walk to Bourbon st and other locations.

Boutique type hotel. Nice location and friendly staff. Complimentary flavored water and coffee/tea in lobby Very noisy - fire house nearby, loud motorcycles, and numerous cars revving and screeching tires on the block - every night. Shower head had very limited water pressure

This is an idea spot it was to all the things I wanted to do in the heart of New Orleans. The bed room were a little smaller than I like, but over all it was very clean. The lights could've been brighter or a few more. My room was dim. If you drove the parking garage was on a few block over,

The place was super cozy we love the room and feel it comes with a microwave and fridge so live that. It’s decorated well but not to cluttered. Staff was very helpful. Things that weren’t so nice parking was two blocks away. They allow animals so we heard a dog on and off during our stay. The elevator is very slow! But all in all we would do it again.

The staff were amazing. They arranged tours and transportation. They were very friendly! I loved the old feel with all the brick throughout my room.

This would've been a really good review. The stay was good. BUT here's the issue - my friend was supposed to receive a refund of a few hundred dollars. That did not happen. Because she lives overseas, with a 9 hour time difference, I got stuck trying to get her refund for her. Essentially what they did was refund her the money and then charge her again - nullifying the refund. It has been almost 9 months now. I have called and no one at the front desk can help. John, the manager, seemed great when we were there but does not take calls nor return them and apparently does not have an email account to receive or reply to emails. What I did manage to get was a copy of THEIR records showing the refund and then the repeat charge. So they know what is going on, they just refuse to fix it. At this point, I'm exhausted. The last recourse is reporting them to the Attorney General's Office and the Better Business Bureau so that's where we are. What a colossal waste of time but I guess they just refuse to respond or correct issues until the customer gives up. I'd planned to stay there again while in NOLA for a conference next year but obviously this has opened the door for me to try a new, and hopefully better, place.

The hotel itself was decent. There is no valet, and parking is a couple blocks away. So be prepared for that. Our remote control for the tv was low battery so wouldnt work. I called front desk, no answer. I walked downstairs and no one at front desk. So didnt get to enjoy watching tv. Also no vending machines. Luckily there is a store 2 doors down. When we checked out the overnight lady was not helpful. Expected us to already know how to check out on the computer. Didnt say anything to us. It wasnt the worse, but also wouldnt come back.

The property is always immaculate. Clean. Everytime I stay here. Staff does a great job. But this time the front desk receptionist was so rude. She would not listen to anything I was trying to tell her. She talked over me the entire time and when she WAS PROVEN WRONG ABOUT MY ROOM, SHE DID NOT APOLOGIZE FOR HER INCOMPETENCE! I love this place. I truly do. I make sure to stay here anytime I am in the area of New Orleans…but she made this stay so horrible for no reason. I hope to hear back from management about the situation. Thank you.

Absolutely phenomenal service. Expedia did me dirty and let me think I was checked in without calling them. I arrived and they quickly found me a room with almost no trouble. The location is amazing, just close enough to the French Quarter and the River to be a quick walk, but not so close that you're worried about the revelers on Burbon wandering over and making noise.

This hotel was amazing! Super comfortable and in a prime location. The staff was great! Especially Kayla at the font desk!!!! She was super helpful in giving us restaurant and activities suggestions. She made our stay extra special!

La Galerie is a beutiful boutique New Orleans hotel, close to everything the French Quarter has to offer, yet convenient to Canal Street transportation. The front desk attendants are excellent, even remembering my name! Plus the on-sight restaurant was superb!! Would definitely stay there again during future visits!

I always like to start off with the positives....the room was clean and spacious. The location was great...close to bars and restaurants. Now for the negatives...the staff/housekeeping was terrible. I had asked twice (in person to the housekeeping personnel who was cleaning another room on our floor) to fill the soap in the bathroom/shower (both dispensers were completely empty upon my arrival) when they cleaned our room. After the second day, I still had no soap so I called the attendant downstairs at 5:00 p.m. was told there was nothing she could do because housekeeping was closed. They finally filled the dispensers on the third day. The a/c was not working well. The room was very hot at night. Also, the safe did not work. We had maintenance come to open it so we could actually use it, but we ended up not using it because it did not work when we attempted to lock it before leaving for the day. I, personally, would not stay at this hotel again.

We stayed at the property the night before leaving on a cruise. The hotel itself was fine, however, BEWARE, of any “upgrades” they may offer you. We received an email a few days before our stay offering a number of upgrades from a bigger room to early check in. We selected and paid extra for early check in because our flight arrived early. I received a receipt and confirmation email from the hotel confirming the early check in. When we arrived to the hotel, the host rudely told us they did not offer early check in and she didn’t know why hotels.com offered it to us, but she could not help us and could not refund us the additional fee. Said it was our problem and not the hotels. The couple arriving behind us had also paid for early check in. The hotel was fine, but you can easily book another place for the same price where the customer service is better and they aren’t offering unfulfillable “upgrades”.

No complaints. Location was perfect. We walked everywhere. You do have to pay to park but that’s anywhere in the area. Hotel clean. Staff nice. Bed was comfortable.

This hotel was a wonderful decision! I like to walk, explore, dine, drink, people watch, immerse myself into a culture (every city has its own vibe-culture) and this was just a great location for that. I walked everywhere in the area, from Canal, to Bourbon St, and all the side streets and places in between. And at all hours of the night, up to 2, 3, and 4 in the morning. I’m a guy and travel alone, I did not feel uneasy or unsafe anywhere. But I also know to mind by business and stay in my lane. New Orleans is like anywhere else, if you go looking for trouble, sure you will find it, but if you’re minding your business and enjoying a late night walk, no one bothers you. The restaurants, bars and shopping all walking distance to the hotel is amazing. I’d be out of the hotel by 10 am and would come back to get changed for dinner and then go right back out and stay out until late. All on foot! Some of the best nights sleep I’ve ever had were right here. So peaceful, and bedding is just phenomenal. They have an awesome staff here that will take care of and help with anything you need. They are extremely helpful, house keeping is on top of it as well, coming back in at dinner to change and having my shower and bedding all redone and ready to go was super nice. This hotel can accommodate all ages but if your an active and on the go type person, you can’t beat this location. I will definitely stay here again!

Great location, close to the French Quarter, but quiet enough to get a good sleep. Comfy beds and rooms. Easy check-in with reserved spots in front of the hotel for easy parking during check-in and unloading. Public parking garage just up the street was an easy walk once you figured out how to get there. Will stay again.

I checked in Mon 2/10 early and the woman at the front desk was the sweetest (I forget her name but shes the one I saw the most during my stay). The room was cute and very boutique and French Quarters. The location was the best bc it was within comfortable walking distance to everything. The whole staff was friendly. I felt safe due to the double door that needs a key card. The restaurant was pleasant as well.. Now, what was weird was the only trash can was in the bathroom so there wasn't anywhere in the room to put my trash. When housekeeping came while i was out they didnt take the trash so my trash piled up, and the tv kept cutting out. After i left I was charged for something that Im unsure of ans when I emailed them to aak for the details on the charge, I never got a response back. Those are the only minor cons. I would consider staying here again when I return but not quite sure.

Great location and the restaurant Coteria is absolutely amazing!!

The King Suite was great. Two separate rooms with a door to close. Both had large TVs so if you're up early you can close bedroom door and watch whatever without disturbing your mate. Restaurant and bar are not on hotel property but they are next door. Very good food and drink not cheap bur really good.

Located close to both the French quarter and the French market. Hotel is quiet, clean and very comfortable. The restaurant next door The Coterie offers a great menu, happy hour and servers are fabulous

The hotel is amazing. The amenities in the rooms was perfect for what was needed. The mattress and the linens were comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful and communicated by text. The hotel is downtown, a few blocks from Bourbon street so expect tourist traps, gift shops, and poverty. Wasn’t bugged other than the massage parlors trying to get you to get a free massage. Mr. Ed’s is a few blocks away and they had a great roast beef po-boy. Odel and Brandon were super helpful.

Very nice hotel with exceptional staff. Our room was standard in size and decently cleaned. Restaurant next to hotel Coterie was great. We ate there several times and always very good.

Beautiful boutique hotel with pretty rooms. Literally next to Canal Street. Some great restaurants on the same street. In the heart of everything, but surprisingly quiet despite this. No coffee maker in the room, but coffee is available in the lobby, and there’s a fantastic restaurant for breakfast super close by. I loved my stay and would definitely book again!
