Perfect location! Easy walk to the French Quarter. The St Charles street car stopped in front of the hotel and took us to the Garden District. $50 to park each day w/ valet. My family felt safe at the hotel. Nice stay!

Hotel was clean. Most of the staff was friendly. Biggest issue was over the weekend they went down to one elevator working. The wait time for an elevator was substantial. Also they didn’t seem to have a service elevator so guests were shoved in with cleaning carts. I didn’t like that.

Older hotel, but overall in good condition. Staff we encountered was friendly. Walking distance to French Quarter/shops/restuarants. We appreciated the complimentary breakfast/coffee. Things we did not like…we stayed 4 nights, housekeeping only came to clean Rm ONCE. I had to ask the front desk for more towels/empty trash. Area gets a bit sketchy at night. Valet is pricey at $48/night. However, Car isn’t needed unless you are going far out of the area. If we visit again, we’d just uber.

This hotel only provides valet parking which is $44 to $55 per day and if you decide not to use that, There is a public parking structure called ezpark next door to the hotel that charges $30 for 12-24 hrs parking. But the hotel is a good clean safe hotel to stay in for the the Mardi gras an other New Orleans events.

I arrived and found no one at the desk for a few minutes. When someone came out, they began checking me in, I paid for my valet, and then someone came over and said valet was full and self parking was closed too. After a bunch of waiting and talking to people, I was told we’d be the last car in for the night. (It was around 7pm, not late.) Once I got outside, the valet told me he couldn’t take my car because it was full. Eventually he said he’d make it work and he did, but it was a mess and took a lot of time. Once we got up to our room, our keys did not work. We tried multiple times and eventually someone opened the door to tell us the room was occupied. It was the correct room number. We went back downstairs, had to wait in a line of people, and then the staff were confused by what was happening and didn’t seem to know how to proceed. Eventually they gave us a different room and we had to go back up with all of our stuff again. This whole process was challenging with three kids. When we finally got to our room, we discovered that there were not sheets on the pull out bed. We called and asked for sheets, but they delivered a bag with five bars of soap and a shampoo and conditioner. We then called again and received sheets. We also only got 3 towels for 5 people. The breakfast was lovely and it was a good spot to stay for us to explore New Orleans.

Location is great, walking distance to convenient stores if needed. Close to street car access, if needed. There is a bakery/cafe 5 steps away from the hotel entrance (vegan friendly). I like the size of the 2 queen bed suite, great for a family or you and your bestie! Staff at the front were nice. The main con for me was the cleanliness of the room and bathroom. There was black mold in and around the shower. I was able to contact the front desk to let them know, the housekeeper tried her best with instructions from her supervisor. Long story short, we weren’t able to switch rooms of the same caliber (suite) due to no availability. Due to cleanliness I would not stay there again.

The property and our room are extremely clean and surprisingly quiet to be so close to some of the high crowd areas. Love that there was an affordable room to accommodate our family of 5 without having to separate, and after a long day of travel we were very thankful to be welcomed to check-in early and stretch out before a walk to dinner and down Canal!

I’ve stayed at this location a few times on my many visits to New Orleans. They were doing renovations the last two times I visited. I don’t know where to start on this visit. First, I don’t know if the valet guys were new but they were horrible. They were not friendly and there wasn’t a system in place to make sure there was order. There was no management on duty to help them. However, I still had to pay $44.00 plus tax. I was there for 3 nights and the last night Sunday (a game day) which I wasn’t aware. I had to wait 1.5-2hrs before my car was parked. I arrived before many other people but more of the Caucasian customers were getting their vehicles taken but not mine. I asked the valet gentleman and he damn near snapped my head off. Secondly, upon arrival for check in i was not recognized as a Hilton honors member. I was not offered the complimentary items like I have been numerous times before which was disappointing. Lastly, I was placed on the 14th floor which I loved but my whole room smelled like SEWER WASTE. I informed the front desk but was not moved, nothing was rectified or offered etc. Where is the customer service? I’m not sure if I could ever stay here again.

The valet service was not worth the $48.00 per night cost. The room was ok, but the closet was too small for two people. The shower fixtures did not work correctly. The tub was dirty and the waste baskets were too small. I would probably think twice if i had to choose this place to stay again.

The location is good, close enough to everything but far enough away so you can sleep. The room was big, but very dark. We were at the back facing a wall and there was no central light, just lamps that had to be turned off individually. I didn't mind facing the wall as it was definitely quieter at the back of the building, but why have all hotels gone with no central light. The fridge in the room was old and extremely noisy, we had to unplug it to be able to sleep. On the positive it was the comfiest bed I had slept in, in 3 weeks in the US. There is HBO so you can watch TV without the endless adverts. The breakfast was good for American standards. You can have room cleaning if you ask for it, this is not a flashy hotel, but it was clean and comfy and that's all I really needed. Would stay here again. I would say that this is the 3rd time I've been to NOLA and it seems to have suffered/become a lot more dodgy since Covid. Lots of homeless and strung out people even just one door way from the hotel. I would just be a little more savvy and keep your wits about you.

The front desk staff Monday late afternoon/evening, Tuesday morning and afternoon were wonderful. They were very helpful with the easiest way to get places, after Google wanted to send us a roundabout way. They also held our bag during the day until we went to catch the train.

This property was conveniently located and extremely walkable but the service and staff made it hard to rate this property higher. We ran out of toilet paper and it took over two hours and multiple calls to get some brought to the room. We asked for new towels in day 2 and were told we could only have two sets in a room with 4ppl. While I understand they were busy, if I call first then I should receive what I asked for. Staff informed me “We can’t, cause we need towels for the morning if someone calls but you can call back in the morning and see if we have more because we get our shipment tomorrow.” Between the toilet paper and towels it made it hard to rate my stay higher.

Don’t stay here especially if you booked through a third party. Staff reminds you of that constantly for some reason. Even though I am a Hilton Honors Member, I did not receive any benefits or recognition. Had a room that the shower door was off track. Wouldn’t shut. Huge mess. Had to clean it up myself. My husband actually fixed it for the hotel but they didn’t even acknowledge that. Toilet spurted up on floor when flushed. I was told sorry for the inconvenience. Ugh! So disappointed . Next Hilton in Memphis I stayed at the next night thanked me for being a member and gave me water etc,,, what the heck New Orleans!

The guy who checked us in was excellent. I wish I had his name. He was the definition of customer service. The complaint I had was in getting the room cleaned. I asked that it be done and it never happened. They sent up some towels and no sheets. We basically cleaned ourselves left the bagged garbage outside the door where it stayed for 2 days (smh). For me, part of the ambiance of a hotel stay is coming back to a clean room. That did not happen and that’s disappointing.

The location was ideal for the NOLA experience. Close to Bourbon St. yet quiet. Close to street cars on Canal St. Easy connection with Hop-on-Hop-Off which is a must to see the different neighborhoods of New Orleans. Breakfast was a great add on, and rooms was nice and clean. Staff Precious was helpful, knowledgeable and connected us to a wonderful taxi driver David. I would definitely stay again.

Absolutely average. Room clean but facing on a wall. Bathroom clean. I didn't like the breakfast they offer, only american stuff (eggs and bacon): no expresso coffee, no croissants, no cakes, maybe one kind of cheese. Jam was industrial. To make breakfast were available waffels (Do it yourself, waiting list), donuts (to warm up), bread... that's it. Also the service is not very efficient, I wanted another cup of coffee but we had to wait for it. Very good location anyway.

I love staying at the Hampton in Carondelet bc it’s close to everything and they offer free breakfast. However, on this busy, the free breakfast was less than desirable. The eggs were watery-tasting. We only had grits/oatmeal 1 out of 3 days of my visit. The never gave bacon as an option, just tasteless sausage patties and links.
