The only downside to the property is the parking. It’s a very busy area especially on the weekends so it’s very chaotic. There is no one to guide you on where to park to check in.. I found the self parking garage for the hotel by accident. It’s also forty dollars a night to park in the garage. There is not a free parking option which I found out is not uncommon in New Orleans downtown area.Also be sure to get a receipt to show the parking attendants that you paid for parking once you check out if not you will be stuck in the garage like we were for over 30 minutes because of some mix up where some people didn’t pay and the people who did pay was not communicated properly by the front desk and they were not allowed to let you leave the garage until you paid or they were able to verify you paid at check in.Overall the staff was great and I would return.

While the hotel itself was clean, the elevators were a nightmare and the hotel was aware of it. I approached the front desk 6 times to have my card re-activated. At one point, I was asked if I tried both card readers, and if that didn\'t work, if I tried different elevators. My response was "why do I need to try different elevators". The issue was such that you couldn\'t count on a particular elevator to work each time. It was hit or miss each time. (elevator roulette?) We have stayed at this hotel before, but this experience was a step or 2 down. While the hotel is clean, the beds were not comfortable and the hotel is now aggressive with over charging for their services. There was an additional $20 per day convenience fee that was charged at the end of the stay, on top of the other convenience fee’s already paid. Left a bad taste in my mouth and will try other choices when vacationing in New Orleans in the future.

Jude at the reception gave me the best room in the house, on a high floor, tucked away in a quiet corner, with a river view :-) This property also has my favorite hotel gym : vast, well equipped and well maintained. Thanks for yet another perfect stay. I will be back in December!

This is a great hotel for staying in New Orleans. It’s huge and anonymous (which I liked) but staff are helpful. The breakfast is fantastic - a huge choice and really good quality. The room was large and clean with good facilities. We tried one of the pools and it was surprisingly warm and my children loved it. Just a couple of niggles - the signage is practically nonexistent so we spent a lot of time trying to find things and getting lost. Most of the lifts and escalators were broken so we had to use the service lift (and apparently they’ve been broken for weeks…) and the shop never seemed to be open which was annoying when we’d hoped to use it for snacks / drinks for the children. Overall though, a great place to stay.

A big—very big—conference hotel of a late-'80s vintage. Rooms are well-sized and comfortable, though hardly glamorous; staff is hard-working and competent; but the facilities, especially restaurants and bars on the premises, are inadequate for the sheer size of the place. On the weekends in particular, there may be literally no place to eat that won't cost an hour. One small gem: a branch location of Cafe du Monde is a ten-minute walk from the lobby in an attached shopping mall.

The room was clean and comfortable. However the bathroom was terrible. The tile had black mold throughout and the door to enter was about have an inch away from the toilet when the foor was open. Should of had a barn door or a sliding door that went into the wall due to the lake of space since the bathroom was so small.

They do not clean the rooms like all other hotels. They make the beds without changing the sheets. They do not clean room bathroom. I found pubic hair all over the counter when I got to the hotel. They sent house cleaning up 4 times before they changed the sheets and wiped the counter in the bathroom. Their customer service is horrible. The cleaning people do not care to do their job. I was ignored by managment my 1st day there because I wanted new sheets without hair on them. This is by far the worst hotel I have ever been to.

There were roaches in my cleaned room. The furniture was very outdated for the price. DO NOT LET THEM PUT YOU IN ROOM 1941 UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Hell the darn headboard wasn’t lined up with the mattress and box spring. Lastly, they need to clean the carpet and throw out those stinky curtains. Negative 3 stars.

Hotel room was nice and a a very good view of the city. Only microwave viable was in the lobby by Starbucks and both were filthy. Hotel Lay out and self parking were very confusing and a lack of signage to direct didn’t help either. Good location to aquarium and much of the French quarter. Make sure you are aware of daily amenities fees and self parking fees.

It appears that virtually everything is now done electronically. There was no basic, printed info in my room, about room service, restaurants on-site, and so on. I got an automated email asking how my stay was going and I responded asking for advice on where I might get breakfast in the hotel the next day--no response. The other problem I had was that I was constantly solicited for tips......a sign in the room about tipping the housekeeping staff.....notations about tipping on every single receipt....even a receipt for a can of Coke. While I had virtually no dealings with actual hotel staff, I was somehow always getting hit up for tips! Tacky.

Check in was chaos! The add on charges were annoying at best. Would have been nice to have a map of the immediate area, recco for transportation and activities. The convention was amazing but crowded the entire hotel and impossible to valet park, self park or move luggage in. Couldn’t get near the concierge and the traffic to get to the hotel took an extra half hour.

For it being a Hilton the room decor was very dated and the staff in gift shop and bell desk were very unfriendly and never a thank you for anything. We waited 45 mins for a cart to leave and take luggage to be held till our flight. I went asked at Bell desk she said they are dealing with other customers and tried throwing blame on us canceling on phone because after 45 mins we brought our own luggage down! Also very unprofessional to always say dealing with other customers. What are we?? Is not our money equal and we paid alot! Also had hammering pounding at 7 am and all day. So loud and I asked customer service. They said sorry there is work going on next door and above me. So it was not relaxing at all. The starbucks was swamped for Taylor Swift in town which they should plan ahead order alot supplies and schedule extra workers. Lines so long and ran out of things.

I stayed here for a book convention and paid $550 for two nights—not because it was worth it (it isn’t), but because the event was hosted on-site. When I arrived Friday, the bellhops were gone, so the front desk held my ID and let me borrow a cart to haul boxes to my room myself. The valet was great and also helped. On Sunday, I asked the bellhop desk for help to my car and was told I’d be charged—but no one could agree on how. One said “by the pound,” another said “by the package,” and no one could give an estimate. No scale in sight. I’ve stayed in hotels around the world and have never been charged for a bellhop—tipping has always sufficed. When I asked to borrow a cart again, I was told no because the bellhops were “on duty.” So I was out of luck unless I paid an unclear fee. Meanwhile, 6–8 idle bellhops stood around as my daughter, sister, and I made multiple exhausting trips with one small personal cart. One even wandered into the convention room looking for someone to upsell. It felt predatory. The hotel is outdated, overpriced, and unhelpful. I will not recommend it for future events.

Terrible service. The hotel did not provide the room and bed configuration we booked, confirmed and paid for weeks before our stay there (Dec. 31 - Jan. 3). We asked for, booked and twice had confirmed a a larger room with two beds and a roll-away (which we needed). We were given a very small room and no roll-away. They said no roll-away would fit in the room and no other rooms available. They admitted the room/bed screw-up was their fault, but nothing they could or would do for us because they were overbooked due to NYE and the Sugar Bowl. Room was cramped, we had to double up on beds and were miserable. They refused any kind of accomodation, including any discount for the wrong room and lack of bed. Personnel were rude, condescending and totally unhelpful at every step. We urge people to avoid this Hilton hotel. We'll never go back there.

check-in staff were very nice and friendly. however I had to call in after 5 pm to ask for my room to be cleaned the following day and my next door left over food was outside for the all day and it was not very present to look at every time I passed by. Even I could see housekeeping and manager few time in the hall way. the very bad experience was with my check out at 4 am and your guest service lady with the name of Destenee was very unfriendly and ignorant and even when I ask her name she refuse to give me and when I ask to talk to manager she said she is the manager. she did not ask for my room # and even care. with very un-presents manager told me just drop your key and go and every one automatically will be checked out at 11. I stayed at Marriot next block before my cruise and they manage to give me room very early in the morning. I paid almost 1500 for 2 nights hotel and I got a service that was less than satisfactory and maybe kind of service you get in 2 stars hotel. In my experience Hilton does not car about customer as long as they could chare more during high season and provide less service. otherwise they could have simply check me out at 4 am and have the room clean and provide it earlier to the next customer.

It is a beautiful hotel; multiple levels with eateries and such. I was very disappointed with the room service; we ordered at 1115a and didnt teceive the lukewarm meal until 1240p. This is after calling a couple of times, being directed elsewhere but the dining services. At that point i was told that the delay was d/t them only having 1 server.

For the price of the room it was nothing special. Prices were exorbitant at the restaurants such as 5 dollars for a bottled water and 4.50 for a small bag of chips We are locals who came to stay overnight to go to a show and understand tourist prices but 50 dollars for them ti park your car is downright thievery Will not recommend to family coming in

Fabulous hotel overlooking the Mississippi River and really close to cruise ship terminal. The best part was the outstanding breakfast buffet, the absolute best one I've ever experienced. It was like a high end restaurant, so many choices, lots of New Orleans cuisine. I would choose this hotel again. It's fairly close to Bourbon St, Jackson Square, and shopping.

Traveled with family. We really enjoyed our stay. Staff were friendly and helpful, food was tasty, near the aquarium and shopping. The only thing I disliked was the price of breakfast and parking for guest. Seems that the price would be more reasonable for guest staying at the hotel. $50 a day for parking, along with $30 per person for breakfast is insane.

The property is clean and nice. They extort you with a resort fee when you show up. This was not listed in Expedia booking. Free pool access, gym, and $10 coupon for use at the restaurant. It all promptly closed right after we got there. We used the credit for breakfasts that was mediocre at best. NOT a resort in any way. Just a motel. Resort fee scam.

You would expect excellent service from one of the best Hilton properties. The management needs to look at breakfast process. There was no buffet (2 days in an row) and waiting time to be seated was 30 minutes for 4 of us. It took more than 1.5 hour for our food to land on the table. As a large Hotel as it is, there was not much crowd and I believe it’s the management of the breakfast which needs to be carefully looked into. Did not expect that from Hilton.

Also please update the hotels.com application to reflect that there is a charge for parking and when purchased with the package its provided the property so parking doesn't have to be purchased at the property upon check in.

They are in the process of modernizing the hotel. Our room was nice and had a great view of water. Our room was a little dated but it was clean, spacious and very comfortable.
