Hyatt Place New Orleans Convention Center

Everything was good except parking. It was $35 for valet only.

Great location, and quiet. No parking on site, unless you use their valet service. Depending on the time of day, the valet service was super busy and required quite the wait- coming and going.

We didnt eat breakfast @ hotel and parking was in a garage between a side street and restaurant, that you had to climb atleast 5 steps up to get to elevators & walk out of garage cross the side street and walk around the front of hotel. Overnight parking was extremely high, anytime you leave& return it was a cost. That was definitely a negative for me since the garage was not attached to the hotel.

Room had food next to couch and used hair ties on the floor from prior customer, the hallway smelled like marijuana. When I let the service desk know, they said they would let management know. No food or bar restaurant inside hotel like states on website. No discount for any inconvenience from service staff either.

Only issue I’ve machine out of service. Otherwise everything great

The elevators didn’t scan your room cards well

Room was great and the staff was friendly. Only downside was the bar had an extremely limited selection.

Great hotel, elevator was down only one to use which made the wait long, staff was super nice only downside is no pool for the kids

Best breakfast we have had in a hotel in many years! Breakfast/kitchen workers very on top of things! Front desk staff friendly. Room was the normal hotel room. Very clean. Our downfall was the parking. 53 per night for valet. No self parking. We got around that issue unknowingly. We self parked the parking garage next door at $25 per day. We didn’t use our car at all. So we were only charged $25 total for three nights.

The staff was very welcoming and kind. Not a fan of the expensive valet but atleast you can come and go and still only pay for one day.

The room smelled of cigarettes, the carpet was dirty when walking, in the bathroom there were areas with mold and the floor. They must improve the cleaning of rooms.

Cups in the room were not cleaned properly. Restroom tub and floor were dirty and carpet was sticky

The room need to be clean , carpet n furniture is filthy when we walk in it was old candy sitting on the arm chair spots all in the rug

The staff at the Hyatt Place were attentive and amazing. There were a mass amount of of people pulling them in all directions, from the front-desk to the valet but the hotel staff remained so courteous and professional. My room was nice and comfortable. We were placed on the 3rd floor which provided an additional seating area, which was absolutely wonderful. My only concern was the bathroom in our room. There was visible mold in the shower stall, that was concerning, and the water pooled in the stall making it a slip hazard.

Staff is great and rooms are clean for the most part but they could use a good dusting around the cords and hidden places.

Perfect distance to convention center and shopping. Breakfast was great. Hotel is older, and cleanliness is not the best. Our bath tub as well as toilet needed to be unclogged upon arrival. Housekeeping was very attentive.

The staff is very hospitable, welcoming and wonderful however the management needs to do better with cleaning and ensuring things are working properly. Air vents are dirty and dusty also room service didn’t change bedshits and pillow case.

Bed sheet has holes; Wall plug is hanging off the wall with screws; Shower floor is dirty; Toilet has brown stain in the bowl; Towels has hair stuck in them.

The room was not clean for months probably it was very unkept. I tried to exchange rooms, but they were none available. The front desktop for helpful to sit stand. The breakfast was awful. It was all messy. Nothing was available.

AC didn’t work. Wasn’t even turned on for cooling and it was 100 degrees outside. I can’t sleep if it’s 70 or above. Never got below 70 in the room. Also the toilet kept stopping up. Wasn’t anything I did…. Maintenance didn’t come until we were packing up to check out. Also asked about a cruse shuttle to the port 3/4 mile away, they said there isn’t one. But we walked out the building the next morning and one was sitting out front. Horrible experience. Will not stay at this place again.

Location is great. Hotel room itself was eh. Clean but the wifi did not work, the phone did not work, the tv had bad reception and the light above the couch flickers.

No ac, no maintenance on site, and the toilet would not flush without stopping up. Worst stay ever.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed was not very comfortable.

Nice clean room with fluffy bath towels. Shower was a bit stained and the water pressure was low, but good hot water.

Desperately needs a renovation

The hotel overall was great. The hotel was very clean. My only issue was just wear and tear of the place. The ceiling in my bathroom needs to be cleaned and repainted.

Nice hotel, good location , the room was big , clean bathroom I was a little bit disappointed from breakfast served with plastic catlery

The vanity had a drawer front that covers the drain of sink laying in the floor upon arrival. The shower drain would back up enough i would be standing in water before finishing. The plastic guide for the shower door glass was laying in the shower floor, causing me to be very careful using the doors because i was worried they would come of track and fall on me or break.

Beds are uncomfy and shower in 619 didn’t drain well

We were very disappointed in the valet. We had to wait 56 mins to get our car. We know it was busy but that’s no excuse when they say it’s a 15 min wait

I can't even explain how awesome the staff is here. A big smile and kind words every time you come in and out. Genuinely caring people... can't fake it. I also left a bag behind and the managerial staff went out to there way to get it back to me. A

Staff acted disinterested in client needs at front desk and especially when dealing with the single valet available to get and drop off cars. We waited almost 45 mins from entry to get checked in and another 30 still waiting for a valet to take our keys (partner waited at truck the entire time). We left the hotel almost an hour after getting our keys and the truck was still parked out front, no valet in sight.

I had to come back 3 times before I could check in m. Finally after 630 they told me the room I reserved wasn’t available so I had to be given a different room. The manager decided when we were talking that she would ignore me and talk to another person in my party which the room wasn’t booked in their name. She even handed the room key to him and would not speak to me . The room was okay the ice machine wasn’t working

Waited an hour for my car to come from Valley with an 11 month old 6 year old, and nine year old. We were told that our car was lost in another parking garage and they could not find it. Then after axing a manager for help, she called them and they hung up the phone on her. After finally getting our car our kids were hungry and tired. And we were going to be late driving back home and turning in our rental car. And our room was dirty. The walls had spots on them. The light switches in the room were broken.(the one over the sofa). The coffee maker was missing. A part in the phone in the room did not work, and it was very dirty as well. we pay $200 a night and was inconvenienced. Never never never never never never never never never never never never never never never never never again staying at this hotel.

The staff was super helpful and soooo nice. Thats hard to find these days. Their kindness was greatly appreciated ♥️ Our room was spacious and clean. Bed was comfy=A great night's sleep!

Our stay was very pleasant, the front desk staff was very polite and helpful with places to eat and attractions around the city. Would definitely stay there again.

Experience was meh. Getting to the property was a headache due to the traffic around the convention center and a music festival going on. When we did finally get into the hotel, the front desk lady was nice but extremely distracted with everything going on. Apparently, there was a woman stuck in the elevator? I understand that is an emergency; however, focus on one thing at a time. The front desk agent literally charged me twice for the incidentals, which I’m still confused how 17$ was taken out of my bank but it didn’t go through so I have to swipe again? Next came the parking and checking out. On Expedia, it said SELF PARKING. However, when I asked about that, the woman said there was only VALET PARKING, which is 35$ a night per car. If I knew there was ONLY VALET PARKING, I wouldn’t have chosen this hotel because I had two cars. When I went to check out, paying for parking was even more confusing because the front desk agent asked if I was paying for THREE NIGHTS, when I only stayed for TWO NIGHTS? She meant to say TWO NIGHTS WITH TWO CARS but she kept saying THREE NIGHTS because as In loading up the cars with my family, she came out to inform me she charged me incorrectly and that she only charged me for one car and not the other. Overall, I will not be coming back to this property because of the confusion with parking. The rooms were clean but hearing how someone got stuck in the elevator also didn’t help either.

Greeted well by Irealle and promptly checked me in. I booked for a King but got a 2 Queen instead. Breakfast included helped to start the day. Gary the valet gave me recommendations for restaurants and places to see since it’s my first time staying in NOLA. Angelisa was kind enough to add my Hyatt Reward member number on my reservation so I can get points for it. Not bad for a one night stay. Thank you for all the smiles!

We booked the hotel not knowing it had a breakfast buffet. That was a pleasant surprise and saved us money and time by not having to go somewhere for breakfast before the conference which started at 8a. The hotel was only 2-3 blocks from Hall H where the entrance to the event was. Staff was friendly. Place was clean and AC worked great and was on before we even entered the room. We did not use the Valet Parking as there was a parking garage half a block from the hotel and there was only 2 spaces in front of the hotel to park to check in/valet the car. It was good to know that when you use valet, you have until 4p the next day to get your car. Their valet was also $10-15 cheaper than other hotels by the convention center, too.

Conveniently located across the street from the convention center. Don’t expect the same configuration or standard of other Hyatt Place.

The hotel is directly across the street from the Convention Center, about a block away from the Riverwalk Shopping Center, and waking distance to the French Quarter if you enjoy a nice stroll. There is a daily hot breakfast included with your stay and the staff is very friendly. The rooms are also spacious with sitting areas and comfortable beds.

The hotel is just across the Convention Center, it is very close to the Riverview Shopping Mall and river boardwalk. You can also walk in 15-20 minutes to French Quarter. Hotel's stuff is very polite and helpful, they were above and beyond. Breakfast was excellent (included in room price). We were on the second floor, we didn't hear anything from the streets. We stayed there 5 nights, with a 14-month baby. We will definitely come again to this hotel. We just wanted to thank all stuff at the hotel for being super nice and professional.

I had a comfortable stay. Friendly staff, very helpful. Easily accessible to the conference center (immediately opposite), an outlet mall, the aquarium, riverboat tour & not far from all the great things offered by New Orleans. Twenty minutes from the airport. Not fancy but very convenient, especially if going for a conference.

You can walk to the convention center, riverwalk outlets, casinos.

The breakfast was not refilled and had nothing left with an hour left in the breakfast, and dirty conditions.

Everything fron the front desk staff, to the Omelet Station staff were so nice. The rooms were very clean the breakfast was the best breakfast ever. I will definitely stay here again!

The rooms were large and clean. The breakfast was delicious.

Fruit could be more fresh and varied at breakfast. Keep serving until 9:30 am. Potatoes were out by 9:00.

The most blah, so-so, nothing to talk about Hotel ever. I can’t completely rip it, but there is also nothing very good I can say about it . Tge best I can say is that It is right across from convention center, so that is a plus. Unless you are on business at convention center, don’t stay here. It was bar none, the worst included breakfast I have ever had. Just awful!

I Loved Everything about it. The breakfast was excellent and the rooms were large and clean!

The pros: The room was well-kept and clean. Slightly stiff beds, but overall not bad. Warm showers with high pressure. Directly across the street from the conference center makes this hotel almost ideal for conference attendees b The cons: The breakfast was god awful, and I truly am not picky. The scrambled eggs were soaked in water, literally dripping wet and had no consistency or flavor. The coffee would sit empty for 20 minutes at a time and the workers showed little to no interest in replacing them. They were similarly uninterested in properly labeling what was Milk or Cream, resulting in me pouring half and half in my cereal as it was labeled skim milk. The bread was completely stale and I am concerned about how long the opened pot of yogurt sits on the cooling table. Certain stations would sit empty for 20 minutes at a time (such as tortillas, cheese, eggs, etc.). Incredibly disappointing and if your decision between Hyatt or other local hotels depends on which hotel provided free breakfast, please opt to buy breakfast. There are many places you can get a decent meal, don't sacrifice

Very enjoyable we were close by to everything we ended up leaving our clothes in Pensacola. We were able to go across to the Riverwalk and get something to wear to the concert. The concierge were great at calling us a taxi. Everybody was very accommodating. The breakfast was amazing. We definitely Will stay there when we come back to New Orleans
