We love this place have stayed over and over again but parking now is at $50 a night…. That’s gotten overboard if your staying and paying for a room you should get a discount 20 a night max…it’s onsite they don’t have to run and get your cars etc, it’s almost unwelcoming that they charge so much we would book more nights but 50 a night is too expensive for what you get…you literally can watch someone park your car by the room and make a few steps back to front. We hope they fix this because we’d love to stay more.

We felt like queens staying here! We loved this oasis among the beauty that is New Orleans! The ice house bar was a fun spot for drinks, everything was set up nicely, and we loved the feel of our stay!

This is a great boutique hotel in the French Quarter within easy walking distance to shops and dining. Since it is old, there is no elevator, so keep that in mind depending on what floor you stay on and going up and down the stairs with luggage, etc. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept on and would consider owning for myself.

We wanted a couple of days at the quiet end of the French Quarter. The hotel is lovely, and has on site parking for an additional fee. There’s a pool and bar on site. Free coffee in the morning, but no restaurant. However, one of the best breakfast places in the city is out the back side of the parking lot.

This hotel was amazing and had great ambience. Perfect location in the French Quarter. Service was top notch. The courtyard is beautiful, and the pool is deep. My only complaint is that the toilet did not flush properly.

Hotel room was wonderful BUT they have a bad set up with a courtyard and most rooms are facing it… it’s loud all night and our location was the worst location in the place… don’t plan on a quiet night sleep! The staff was friendly but didn’t follow through on letting us check in early with a phone call when our room was supposedly ready when they said they would. Granted check in is 3 pm and our plane landed early but on the flip side check out was noon and we left at 8 am… pretty petty and didn’t appreciate the staff lying to us about putting our room on high priority to get cleaned and promised a call when ready that never came. The only reason I wouldn’t stay here again is that courtyard… the bar allows the drinkers to take drinks to this area right outside our room.. the more they drank the louder they got. I should have asked for a different room but it was too late to bother once we found out what a nuisance this courtyard is… pretty courtyard with a fountain but keep the drinking in the bar! A ok to get drunk is this courtyard and make every night not able to sleep BUT you have to walk 300 yards for a cigarette in a dark corner in the back of the parking lot… dumb… the smoking would bother nobody BUT the loud drinkers made sleep impossible.

I liked that it was close to canal street . I disliked service . Property was not clean Hair on sheets . Common area to room moldy and dirty. Roaches and rats !!!

It is a beautiful property and the front desk staff were wonderful, but the noise from the street was very loud most of the night and early in the morning. I know that they can’t control the noise, but my issue was the cleanliness of the room. We stayed there four days and our sheets were never changed. We also noticed in the shower soap scum on the walls, and the floors felt sticky. It seems like they do a very superficial job in cleaning.

Our room was clean and beautiful and we never heard noise even being next to an elevator. The lobby is gorgeous and the staff was amazing. We loved the block it’s located on, a super easy walk to more bustling areas but the block itself is very quiet and clean.

It was a good area to access things we wanted to do, the property seemed a little dirty, when we walked into our room the air vent above our door was black with dust. Came home quite sniffly. Staff was wonderful and checked us in early and helped schedule a taxi back to the airport. Also be aware of the 50 dollar incidental charge per day

on arrival we were given a room that was in a block at the far side of the car park - nothing like the courtyard rooms in the pictures - this block over looks a railway line and we were woken a couple of times a night by very loud train hooters repeatedly blasting out I did ask for a quieter room but there was a wedding at the hotel and we were re positioned after two nights into a room that reflected the picture in the advert - these rooms are what i expected and were much nicer and a lot less noisy

Over all this was a pleasant experience. The hotel is in an excellent location which makes walking around the FQ easily accessible. The hotel grounds are small and the pool isn't heated so pretty much unusable during winter/spring months while we were there. The rooms are very small (quaint) which made it hard to share space with three adults. The shower didn’t have a lot of pressure so not easy for a timely shower. The doors have shutter windows which made the room rather light at night; nothing a sleep mask won’t cure. There is no baggage service so you have to lug bags up stairs so pack light. Parking is expensive and mandatory valet ($45 plus tax per day). No food at the hotel but lots of options close. The positives are that the staff is very friendly and the location is hard to beat. Most hotels in the French quarter are very old buildings which is the charm of it. As stated before, the over all experience was good. The price was right and the location was great! We would definitely consider the hotel again; maybe just not with three people in the room.

My best friend and I decided to meet up in New Orleans for her birthday and I booked the room. The check in gal at the front desk was lovely and she was, coincidentally, who I checked out with before I left. The room itself was clean and while it wasn’t big, it served its purpose. The beds were super comfortable. We loved the shutters on the windows. The walls are a bit thin, but we were truly only in our room to sleep or take a break from walking all around the French Quarter and Bourbon St. Loved the location. Very walkable to everything, tons of food options and shopping around. And of course bars and tours that you can take. Overall, it was a great trip and we will be back again!

The location of this hotel was ideal. It was easy to walk to nearby attractions. The air conditioner in the room was a welcome amenity after coming back from the humid outdoors. The bed was comfortable and the shower's water pressure was fine. I like that the hotel offered in the lobby cold water infused with lemon slices free for guests to partake. Molly was the first person we met upon arrival; she was very helpful and friendly. However, the other staff members were less personable and not as warm. I'd say their attitude was half-hearted and perfunctory. There should be a separate trash can in the room itself and not just in the bathroom.

Love this hotel. Right in the French Quarter and very close to Café Du Monde!! Friendly staff and a great little bar. Would recommend this place for sure. I think they are still family owned which makes it even more attractive. Support local!!!

Hotel Provincial was very clean. I enjoyed the secure parking but the additional fee for the parking should be revisited and worked into the price of the room some how as it seems misleading to charge for the room and then have a mandatory valet charge upon arrival. It is needed as New Orleans is not safe for a vehicle in the road but it seems wrong go up charge for the parking. The valet also mixed up the cars and when I went to leave they brought me a vehicle that wasn’t mine. I had to go inside and help the front desk locate my keys. Overall the stay was nice. The staff was friendly. Hotel is clean. No true complaints. I would stay here again if I ever come back to New Orleans.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Provincial. Our room was right at the interior courtyard where it was nice to sit outside in the evening. The room was comfortable. The location is very accessible to Jackson Square and other French Quarter sights. We did not know about the $50 a night valet parking charge, but this seems to be the norm in New Orleans.

Incredibly beautiful historic hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The hotel has gated entry which feels secure and private. Any time we left or returned to the hotel we would receive a wave from whatever staff member was closest to the gate. The location is perfect for walking, very conveniently located to Jackson Square, Cafe du Monde, Royal Street, a tram station, and far enough from Bourbon Street that it is quieter but still easily accessible to party. Loved everything about our stay at Hotel Provincial.

Although the advertisement shows there is a restaurant that is not really the case. It is a separate entity open to the public on Decatur Street behind the hotel that gets very busy. I chose the Provincial in part because I thought it had its own restaurant so was very disappointed by this. Otherwise the location is great and no complaints.

Old historical hotel. The hotel had a recent renovation and they did a great job. Rooms are very clean! Bed is very comfortable. Staff were very nice. French Toast was the restaurant for breakfast in the back of the hotel. Food was soooo good. Staff were great. Ice house bar made the best hurricane I had.

Went with friends who stayed there before. Lovely, comfortable, safe. Beds super comfy. Had everything we needed including a courtyard with tables for guest to sit outside and pool. Coffee n tea. Small bar. Great 24 hr front desk and safe n mini fridge in room. Safe valet parking onsite. Had everything we needed plus great location.

The property is located at a central point in the French Quarter. It's halfway been Jackson square and Frenchman Street. It's also close to Decatur. There is an excellent, on site, restaurant. The onsite bar serves the best Hurricanes in the Quarter. The bartenders, James and Thomas, make the evening enjoyable and entertaining. Our go to place.
