This hotel was charming and beautifully decorated. The staff was friendly and helpful. Located a block from Bourbon Street and a short walk to Jackson Square, it was a great base for exploring the French Quarter. The courtyard provided a quiet place to enjoy swimming or sitting outside. Within the building are a bar, a coffee/sandwich shop and a restaurant. Valet parking at an on-site parking garage kept our vehicle safe. It was everything we were looking for in a hotel.

This was a great stay. The valet was affordable and well worth it. The room was neat and comfortable.

Perfect check in, great location, quiet pool in the vibrant district. Beds are comfortable, room was clean- staff is exceptional. Hotel is connected to an ice cream shop, bar and restaurant. Walk anywhere and hear music from your balcony. Perfect stay.

The location is great, right off bourbon street. Walkable to just about anything in the French quarter and just outside of it. I felt safe day or night. THE COURTYARD IS MAGICAL. Definitely a selling point. It’s quiet and gives a jungle oasis vibe. Nice clean pool. Towels avail to help yourself. Ashtrays on the tables for smoking needs. Good tunes out there. The cafe that’s connected it AWESOME. Perfect for getting a coffee and some Pastries to start the day. The coffee was delicious along with their croissants and danishes (that is what I tried). Reasonable prices. The bar which is also connected, has good food but pricier. The elevator was often out of service so we had to use the service elevator. Not bad/ My biggest complaint is with the staff. My sister called and tried to have champagne sent to my room because it was my birthday. Simple enough. Well staff seemed to be confused or incompetent when she was asking. They said they could but not from her/ has to be from hotel. She was bummed because she wanted it to be a gift from her. She said it was quite difficult and frustrating getting that squared away. Next day, no champagne. So I asked about it that night… she didn’t know what I was talking about. I had to ask her to just check if something was written down. She seemed hesitant and unsure. Finally she says ok yea they will bring it tomorrow @12 12:30 rolls around next day… nothing. 1pm I finally called & had to ask them to bring it to the room.

Staff very helpful and accommodating. Pool was a nice plus. Great location

The staff was very helpful. Not happy with the $50 a day to park my vehicle. Added a big expense for a 3 day stay.

Valet parking is there on the property. You don’t have to wait for them to go blocks away to get your car. That’s wonderful. Staff were friendly and helpful except for the man checking us in. He barely spoke except when he kept “messing up” on the computer trying to check us in.

Friendly staff, the room was spotless. Pool wasn't heated so it was super chilly despite the 80° November temperature. Marketplace on property came in handy for beer or small food items. I highly recommend staying there.

Roaches on two different nights. Took pictures and notified bring desk. All the manager could say is that the roaches came from outside and there was nothing they could do other than to move me to another room but no rooms available comparable to mine.

We received eight email modifications for a one night stay. We called to verify check-in time and the front desk hung up on us. The woman at the front desk upon check in was very rude. The room had mold and everything felt damp. The only salvation was Lonnie. After 12 hours in a vehicle, he made us feel very welcome and he was very knowledgeable unlike the front desk.

Very clean and safe

Staff was very friendly and the room was spotlessly clean. I really liked the shower.

The hotel's location near Canal Street and the French Quarter was a definite advantage, and the friendly, helpful staff and clean rooms were also positives. However, I would recommend renovating the bathrooms, as there appeared to be mold around the tub.

We found the floor in our room dirty such that we walked dirt into the bath area.

This property was beautiful. It was a great location for what we need it. If you’re going to stay on the side with a balcony, it can be a little noisy, so if you are not into noise, you might want to book a courtyard room with a balcony the last two days we had no air conditioning,we called someone to come fix it. It did not get fixed we did not hear from the hotel management to accommodate us with other arrangements. That was disappointing. I hope they figure it out for the next guest.

Location in the French Quarter was fantastic. Couldn’t really be better. In the heart of it all but just far enough from Bourbon Street to not be disturbed by it at night. Staff very friendly and helpful and their effort showed. Room was very dated, put near elevator (and the noise of drunk people getting off the elevator at 3am) even though we booked months in advanced and arrived in the morning. Both beds in our room creaked loudly with every single movement. Pillows were all flimsy and terrible.

The hotel is located in the middle of French Quarter putting you steps from the craziness and charm of Bourbon Street. However, if you need to sleep at some point, you will be awoken by loud obnoxious bass and engine noise from the street. This occurs from 11-4am. It sounded like someone intentionally wanted to wake everyone up with his music. The balcony was so fun to sit on. But I was so exhausted from staying awake all night. If I go back I will ask for no city view.

The room was perfect-clean, spacious and had a comfortable bed!

My husband & I stayed in the 2 queen beds with the street view balcony room. The view was great. The A/C worked great. The beds were comfortable.It was our first trip to New Orleans. The staff were helpful and friendly. We felt very safe! Unbeknownst to us, it was the weekend of the Red Dress Run. So the streets did get shut down for a while, it got very loud and chaotic. But it was very enjoyable. Everyone was so happy and friendly. We stayed 3 nights in that room. We ended up staying an extra night. They didn’t have the same room type available, so we moved to a King bedroom with a courtyard balcony view. It wasn’t as nice as the other room. The balcony was small and the air didn’t work as good. The bathroom was also very tiny and there was no mini fridge. I would definitely stay there again but only in the 2Q beds/street view balcony room. The hotel bar was also good and convenient. It was so busy that we Doordashed a lot of our meals. I wouldn’t do that again, most of the food was plain and/or wrong. Overall it was great and I can’t wait to go back!

The room was large and the bathroom clean. The staff was very helpful and the parking handy.

The bed was very uncomfortable, firm stiff mattress both our backs were hurting, pillows and bedding not the best. The resident above my level was smoking outside of balacony dropping cigarette ashes and cigarette bud onto my balcony luckily ash dropping missed my head. The bed was very squeaky, would squeak as we tossed and turned.The toilet tissue very very thin not the best Hotel was in a good location to Bourbon St. And away from the street noise.

This property is now my very favorite to stay at in the French Quarter. Location couldn't have been better. We had a balcony room that overlooked Toulouse Street. You can hear street noise, but you can also hear the vibe of the French Quarter coming from Bourbon. It was fabulous

Great location & staff was very helpful. Just watch out for the night desk clerk she’s very temperamental & a little rude. Other than that we had a great stay.

Staff was outstanding! We received a warm welcome and everyone was so friendly and accommodating. Hotel was clean, accessible to all local attractions. Everyone we came in contact with provided top notch customer service. Can't recommend this gem of a hotel enough. We fell in love with it immediately! We will definitely be back on our next visit.

I recently stayed at Hotel St. Marie in the heart of the French Quarter, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience! The location is perfect for exploring New Orleans, but what truly sets this hotel apart is the outstanding customer service. From check-in to check-out, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. I especially want to give a big shout-out to Keisha P, the front desk manager, who was an absolute lifesaver when we ran into an issue with a tow truck blocking the valet parking area. She handled the situation quickly, professionally, and with a smile—turning what could have been a frustrating moment into a seamless one. Keisha’s calm demeanor and proactive attitude reflect the high level of hospitality that Hotel St. Marie is known. It’s rare to find service that feels both personal and efficient, but she nailed it!!! I highly recommend making Hotel St. Marie your home base. Staff was friendly, restaurants attached were tasty and reasonably priced. Rooms were spacious (bathroom wasn’t, but that was fine for us). Only negative was that I informed the hotel by replying to an email that we received from them on the day of travel that our flights were significantly delayed and we wouldn’t arrive until after 2am. We knew this by about 2pm so there was enough warning. When we finally arrived shortly after 2am, it took 15 minutes and a lot of pounding on the door for somebody exit the room next to the front desk to let us in. After that, everything was fine. They did finally respond to my email the following day to say they weren’t able to accommodate an early check in for me… so that was a little unhelpful since it was both late and not what the content of the email said.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough, whenever I visit New Orleans, I will be staying here. The staff are amazing and friendly. They went above and beyond to make our stay great. The hotel is conveniently located, you can walk to many attractions and activities. The hotel is so cute and clean. Treat yourself to a balcony room, it was the best! The pool was nice for a midday break when it got hot.

We wanted to get an earlier start out of New Orleans to avoid the morning rush. We were in the lobby at 4 am looking to check out. It was unattended. The valet area was also unattended. After we called the front desk number the 2nd time, a man came walking out from the dark area behind the desk. Pretty sure we woke him up. We were waiting down there 30 minutes.

I’ve stayed at this hotel the last two times I have visited New Orleans. The location is ideal for walking the French Quarter. Staff is friendly and professional. Hotel lobby and common areas are clean and inviting. Hotel rooms are clean and comfortable. Bedding is luxurious and ideal for relaxing and sleeping.

The staff is actually 6 stars, they all go far and above to make your stay the absolute best. Yes, the hotel itself is very nice, clean, convenient to everything but without a great staff it would all be bland and wouldn’t stand out above all the rest. 100% recommend!

Very friendly staff at check in/check out and every time we went by the desk. Only one block from Bourbon Street but still quiet enough we slept well. Would recommend highly!

This is a perfect location to stay at when visiting New Orleans. Very close to all the major sights seeing places . Also great place for those who like to party only a couple of steps away from bourbon street .

This was our first trip to New Orleans, and we found Hotel St. Marie to be situated in a very convenient location for us. It was close enough to Bourbon & Decatur Streets, while also being on the quieter side. It made it easy for us to pop in and out as needed, to drop off our purchases and/or grab a quick respite. The pool was enticing, but we never had the opportunity to enjoy it since our stay was very brief. Great to observe that the staff was diligently refreshing the paint in the lobby, while still making it simple for guests to navigate the area. Adding room darkening curtains would be our recommendation, along with a better fitting door to block out the light from the hallway. We love a super-dark sleeping experience and did our best to re-create it with pillows and towels, but it didn’t quite measure up. I have already recommended Hotel St. Marie to a friend who will be traveling to New Orleans for her first time next month. We found the price to be very reasonable, especially considering the hotel’s location and amenities. Thank you for contributing to a wonderful and memorable visit!

The staff at the hotel are friendly and helpful. The property is in the French Quarter. Dining options in the Quarter are incredible. One of the best meals we had was at the hotel.

This hotel is very nice, located in the French Quarter and walking distance to a lot of NOLA activities. It has a nice courtyard with a pool and some rooms have balconies. The cafe for breakfast left a lot to be desired and would recommend going elsewhere. We did not do lunch or dinner there so it may be better. Overall the location and convenience made this hotel a great place to stay.

This property was amazing. While we were in our room, we could not hear all the party's going on down on the street. The breakfast cafe had amazing food for a low price. We recommend staying here.

great restaurant, bar, coffee and breakfast shop, cash machine and lots of nearby amenities!! Excellent staff and service! Highly rate!!!

The hotel staff were wonderful! Especially the front desk team. Room was nice, clean and comfortable. Carpet looked a bit dated as did the wallpaper but overall nice. Courtyard and pool were very nice. The little hotel bar was nice and staff were good. Coffee shop was a poor experience. Staff were very busy and struggling, also rude. Location was great and we would definitely stay again and just avoid the coffee shop.

Great location and quiet despite being so close to Bourbon. The fried green tomatoes at the resteraunt were great.

5 day stay was awesome. The staff were super friendly and responsive. The boudin balls at the Vacherie restaurant were the best we had. The only thing that was missing was a microwave in the deluxe room to heat up leftovers. Will definitely go back there again.
