The elevators did not work properly which doesn't sound like much but in talking to staff seemed to be a constant issue. Waited at times 15 minutes before taking the stairs from the 16th floor. Elevators either didn't work or stopped at every floor (no, wasn't kids). Staff were kind and tried to help when they could (taking us in the service elevator). Other than that, right beside the French Quarter. Clean. Not a lot of amenities. Good rate.

…we would definitely book here again!! Friendly, happy employees, rolled out the red carpet for us!! It was conveniently located, and within walking distance of fun places to see, and eat!! We enjoyed drinks in the bar, their amazing pool on the 7th floor, and my husband enjoyed working out in the gym! We love New Orleans, this was our fifth time to visit this amazing city and state!!! We celebrated 45 years with a delicious meal at Commanders Palace!! We will most definitely stay here again!!

Modern, gorgeous inside, smells really good (room & hallways), fantastic gym, very nice and respectful people for checking & at the door, just 1-2 min away from burbone st by walk!, wonderful location and beautiful view of French Quarter from my room (17th floor). Wonderful daily house keeping. I just wish they had a separate management for the lobby market, providing a pricing list as well as self checkout.

Overall stay was nice. Hotel is very clean, staff are friendly and professional, and location was excellent for walking commute to Bourbon Street and Superdome. Stayed on the 28th floor so noise from the street was not an issue. Be aware parking is valet only and drop off location is at the rear on Common Street. Would have given 5-stars, however the shower water was only lukewarm despite taking a shower at 11:30 pm and 6 am!!

You cannot go wrong with JW. This will now be my go to hotel when staying in New Orleans. Excellent staff and it was easy to get to many places (French Quarter, shops, restaurants) from here. Everything else was a 10-15min ride share trip. Also, and most importantly, the property was beautifully maintained and CLEAN. I am super particular about lodging cleaniness and this hotel met my specifications.

My stay here was great. Room was clean and housekeeping is there in the morning and late evening to clean your room if needed. I lived the walk in glass shower. I stayed on the 30th floor and has a goo view of city and lake. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about activities to do in the area and recommended great places to check out

Great customer service. The bellhop were great. Hotel was in a very convenient area. The only thing I would recommend is the cleanliness in some of the common areas on the first floor. The rugs and some of the chairs needed to be steam cleaned as the dirt was very visible. Other than this I would return back to the JW hotel.

The NOLA JW for several years now has been my favorite place to stay while visiting the city. However, this was possibly my last stay there. The hotel over all is up to par, but the staff seemed limited and overwhelmed at check in. The valet was hard to locate most times at checking my vehicle in/out. Safety is important in New Orleans and the motor court area is well lit and does have someone on the area at night. The front entrance on Canal St. is not well lit and there is no security or doorman there. So there is a slight rush to use the keycard to gain entry. The rooms are average: need dusting of furniture and cleaning of mirrors, showers, and toilets. This stay the toilet had rust around the bottom and the shower stall floor seemed dirty. There were limited towels, no coffee cups the first day, and a musty scent in the room. It didn’t smell fresh or really cleaned. The window sills were damaged also. And the tv had another guest’s name on the display for my entire stay. When I inquired about this I was told it was probably the previous guest and the name would go away, it never did.

The bell hop brought up our luggage and he was great. Valet parking was great and the front desk was great. Everything went downhill from there. We requested towels and waited an hour. No towels. So we called again and didn't receive any washcloths. They came later with those. The breakfast at Fogo de Chao was horrible. All of the hot breakfast options were empty. we waited about an hour to pay $18.00 for fruit and a cold bar. The room floor was dirty. One of my pillows was dirty. I will stop there.

The staff was wonderful. The only thing I wish I could change is the size of the bathroom (impossible to change) and the lighting in the room. Since the bathroom is so small, if I wanted to get my makeup done while my husband was in the bathroom, I would have to go to the window with the itty bitty mirror. If it was at night, we would have to start getting ready well in advance so someone could completely get ready in the bathroom before the other started. Since you can’t change the size of the bathroom, a vanity area and better lighting in the room would be lovely. But we would stay here again. The location, the staff, and the amenities are wonderful.

The location of this JW peoperty is ideal. Close to the French Quarter, casino, and shopping. Overall, the JW was nice, however the walls are paper thin. We were abruptly awaken by the folks staying next to us at 3:35 am. You could here them talking, screaming, shutting the door, etc. This went on until 5am. Upon check out, I was asked how our stay was and I mentioned this. I received a "sorry" and that the folks arrived at 3:30am. No offer to comp parking or offer any other type of compensation for the disturbing sleep for my family. With so many choices in NOLA, we will not return to this property. It is a shame because we love JW properties. I will give a shout out to our bellhop. He was super helpful and friendly.

We usually stay further in the French Quarter in some of the historic hotels, but we decided to try the JW on our latest trip to New Orleans. It did not disappoint! The staff was friendly, professional, and helpful. The drinks and food were excellent with great service at the bar. Janet, the concierge was particularly warm and helpful, even though my husband and I have been to New Orleans multiple times. Our room was particularly large, very comfortable, quiet, clean, and relaxing. We will definitely consider the GW on our next trip back to New Orleans..

My room was clean, however the iron didn’t work. I called down to get another iron and was told they will send one up. I still to this day never received the iron. The water pressure was ridiculous and it made a loud thumping sound every time someone showered. If it wasn’t for Louis in valet and the bar staff I would have given my overall stay a 1.

I visited New Orleans to attend ANCC convention and liked my short stay at this hotel. Room/bathroom was clean and beautiful. The front desk staff stated during checkin that "I received $100 restaurant credit and $25 credits per day as an ANCC convention attendee". However, I was charged at the end and realized I was scammed. The manager (Katelyn Lucas) didn\'t resolved the problem! This event was surprising and upsetting! I hope some one can resolved this issue.

Great stay at JW Marriot!! The hotel staff was great and the cleanliness and amenities of the property exceeded our expectations! We walked everywhere from Harrahs to brunch and bourbon st. It’s literally a block from bourbon and about 2-3 blocks from the casino! There is also tons of shopping and eateries walking distance as well! This was our 6th time visiting New Orleans but our first time staying here! Next time we visit we will book here again! It definitely takes away the stress of finding a nice convenient place to stay! We have found our forever home away from home for when we visit New Orleans!! Thank you JW Marriot!!

The property is located in a great area if you want to walk to the Bourbon Street, casino or mall. Also has a lot of clothing stores around to shop. The hotel has great food and all the staff are very friendly, nice and knowledgeable about the area. Very clean and safe property!

Upon arrival overnight front desk staff was only one unpleasant and unhelpful person. There was no manager that could be reached to resolve any complications or concerns that a guest may have coming in late to check in there reservations. Also the rooms and pools are not what they seem in photos of property on website. The shower in my deluxe room was more of a drizzle the was no type of water pressure I was only able to use the hand held to shower. Also the club lounge breakfast gave no options that I would expect especially in New Orleans there was only oatmeal no grits only sausage no bacon. The daytime staff was very kind and extremely helpful doormen were very respectful and pleasant overall with a few improvements this can be a great place to rest your head when in the "Big Easy".

This property was okay. The room and bathroom were smaller than expected. Our room 2224 did not have great water pressure in the shower or the toilet. The shower drain was clogged a couple times and drainage was slow. Although fixed I feel that this may be an ongoing issue for the next guest. Breakfast was horrible with uncooked sausages and bland fabricated eggs. Not much of an option on the breakfast bar. Would recommend eating out. The only good thing here was the mattress and the location close to everything.

Great for tourist location. Bar was hit or miss on bartender for us but great selection. Fogo resteraunt is great but so many locations around that it is not a must eat venue. Service and delivery options to room. Valet very helpful! Pool was perfect except for kids leaving behind a bandaids but what can you do lol.

Stay was really relaxing, room was very cozy, I went for an early morning swim and workout which was amazing, breakfast for two was reasonable, the bar was perfect food was delicious, and all great staff, I would definitely stay at this location again.
