Three stars, and honestly, that’s being generous. The room was small. Really small. The king-size bed took up most of the available space, leaving just enough room to get around it, and the mattress was rock hard. The bathroom was tiny as well. The biggest issue, though, was the smell. The room had a strong ammonia odor. I have no idea what happened before we arrived, but it smelled like someone may have gotten sick and housekeeping went heavy on the cleaning chemicals. Whatever the cause, it wasn’t pleasant. The room was also missing several things I consider pretty standard for a hotel: no window, no coffee maker, no refrigerator, and no microwave. At that point, you’re basically paying for a bed, a bathroom, and somewhere to leave your stuff. The staff were present and generally helpful. They were friendly when they saw you in the hall, although communication wasn’t always easy. There was a very loud dehumidifier running in the lobby, and the staff tended to speak quietly enough that you sometimes had to work to hear them. The hotel also has an odd layout. Most hotels have the bathroom between the sleeping area and the hallway, which provides some buffer from outside noise. This place doesn’t. Fortunately, it was quiet during our stay, so it wasn’t really an issue. There are some positives. The hotel has a 24-hour bar and restaurant in the lobby, which is convenient, and the location puts you close to downtown New Orleans. Overall, it was a pretty underwhelming stay.

Clean and nice place. Close to bourbon street place where all the food and entertainment is located. 5 mins walk. Nice location but don’t buy the food they sell high price and don’t get a lot. Quality is nasty.

It’s on me because I didn’t research enough and I stay at many moxy s. This was hands-down, the worst hotel room I’ve been in many years. The only staff member was condescending. There was no valet. You just had to leave your keys and it was a bad neighborhood and it was dubious when the car would be taken and by whom?. The room itself was not even a Moxy room and the pillows stank like 20 years old. I can’t believe it.. I think Moxy should take their name off of this hotel. It’s a disgrace to their brand -it was dirty, old and I didn’t even get my free cocktail because the staff was so awful. I didn’t wanna be around him. .

The room was clean but worn, the shower faucet was caked with scum. But otherwise wasn’t too bad. The check in and out was bare, both times had new employees so it wasn’t a breeze. The bar was convenient and came with a complementary drink! Parking garage next door and location overall was great! I’d stay again.
