Within walking distance to French Quarters and Bourbon Street. The pool gate is very hard to open. Had to lift handle up instead of down. A lot of us were struggling opening it.

Not ideal for families due to the number of bars in walking distance, and the hotel valet and parking situation led to a few difficult and potentially dangerous navigation challenges on the weekend. The hotel valet was prioritizing paying customers who were not staying at the hotel, leading to traffic jams on Tchoupitoulas street. These could’ve been avoided with a more professional valet service

This property is really run down. The photos do not accurately depict the rooms. Carpet was ripped in my room, all fixtures were chipped and damaged. The hotel did not honor my booking of a King room and said any room type booked on Expedia is not guaranteed. I was put in a room with 2 doubles, then moved to 2 queens with a window facing the inside of the hotel where people could see directly into the room. As a result, had to keep the curtains shut and the room was extremely dark. The manager was supposed to get in touch - they never did. Lousy restaurant (awful coffee). So many better hotel options in NOLA.

All the staff were amazing and very eager to address any issues I had. But the hotel is definitely need a way cosmetic upgrade. The furniture and carpeting in the lobby are really worn and dirty. The rooms are OK, but same issues. I’m sure it’s a popular hotel and gets a lot of usage and just needs to be refreshed! Great location!

We went for mardigras and the parade took place right in front of the hotel which was pretty cool. We only spent 24hrs at this hotel, the staff was very nice and helpful, however, the hotel itself is a little outdated, especially our room. the A/C was not working so I had to call for someone to fix it, they sent someone up right away and got it working. the location of the hotel is walking distance to canal but it's also tucked away so that you're not bothered with the loud noise and traffic.

The stay was okay because we were on the go. The biggest issues were that we reserved a king and were put in a handicapped, the shower did not work, and we could not get the water to adjust to a cooler temperature. The beds were small which LJ meant we slept apart which did not really promote a romantic night.

The staff at this property are big on customer service. The hotel is clean, my room smelled so good upon entry and the New Orleans flavored chips were an added benefit. The hotel is surrounded by art, food and bars. I would definitely stay at the Renaissance again.

Called the front desk for assistance with working the tv. Chromecast was not working in our room due to a broken HDMI cord we were told someone from the hotel staff would bring a new cord. No one ever came to assist with the problem. Lack in good customer service overall.

We have stayed here twice so really enjoyed this property. Nice on site restaurant that we’ve enjoyed breakfast and lunch. We can walk to the cruise terminal from the hotel , but more importantly a convenient place to stay in New Orleans.
