I called to ask if you had to do the valet parking at 42 a day or could you park yourself they told me I did not have to do valet but you in fact do. Just be honest. I stay fairly often with Marriott worse Marriott experience in lady 12 months easily

The pool is closed until further notice. Currently, the pool is an awful brown color and the gates are kept locked. Staff unable to state what the issue was, nor were they able to provide a reopen date.

The room was perfectly fine, staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was a typical and adequate. The biggest disappointment was the pool was not operational and looked like it hadn’t been for a while considering the water resembled a swamp. Highly disappointed that wasn’t disclosed before check in.

Property was fine.. parking fee outrageous. Had I known before hand, I’d have picked a different hotel. $41 to park

The hotel is experiencing construction, but I did not hear any noise the entire time. The front desk was professional and nice. The valet parking is $42 and is a 3rd party. The little short guy had an attitude problem and kept a stank look on his face. Overall, it was a great stay.

Booked 10 months in advance for a 1 night stay before a cruise. Not one notice was conveyed that the whole lobby was undergoing a demolition and renovation. Super loud and dusty upon check-in on a Sunday night. Very inconvenient and disappointing aftet a long travel day. Check-in was fast. Staff was nice. Room was clean, but could use a carpet shampoo and deep cleaning. Signs of wear are apparent throughout the hotel. Complementary breakfast was as usual and expected. Overall, a little pricey for what it is, but the convenience of location was worth it. Would stay again.

Heater was out in the pool, baseboards tore off, bad smell

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Lobby and dining area was clear and inviting. 4th floor needs to have the remodeling finished. It was missing baseboards and the hall carpets had a slight smell. But overall a good stay.

I was laying in bed and there was a cockroach on the ceiling above me. I called the front desk and all they could do is give me a new room 4 doors down. I asked to switch Marriott hotels and the front desk woman was so rude to me she said I could just leave but I would not get a refund. They were also doing construction on our floor, ripping up carpet , removing base boards and taking off wallpaper. The front desk woman was so rude, I have never been spoken to like the way she did. She told me to just leave. I would never stay at this hotel again, and everyone should be warned about how bad this hotel was. I stayed 4 days and they only cleaned our room once. We had garbage and dirty towels, it was awful. Not the standard I expected from a Marriott hotel. Don’t stay here.

there was mold in the room on the pillows in the shower and by the a/c vent! the hallways were dirty, walls cracking

The room smelled like mildew. New Orleans is a busy place, it was hard to orient myself to find my way around.

The staff was all great and did a great job. The hotel upstairs smells like mold, I got an apple juice that was full of dead flies somehow. The bed was not very comfortable for the price, The pillows were paper thin and left my neck sore the whole stay. The area surrounding the hotel is dirty and has unwell people marching around 24/7 or sleeping on the sidewalk and they are fairly aggressive. It wasnt terrible but wasnt great either.

I found few cockroachs on my room. The hotel staff did not want to change us the room, neither compensate, they were very rude and awful. I stay around 90 days per year in hotels and this is the worst hotel I have been

The property is in a good location, everything is within walking distance or a short uber ride. The front desk staff was pleasant It was obvious that property had a recent leak. The initial room given to me smelled like mildew , had stains all over the walls and the light fixure in the bathroom was completely rusted out. I went to the front desk and they didn't really ask any questions and changed my room for me. This room was alot better smelled like it was freshly cleaned , however the sink stopper was missing and the sink was clogged it looked like a previous guest dropped something in . There was also hair in it, the back part of the sink had mildew inside. There wss an obvious leak stain behind the curtains and a soda bottle on the floor. I didn't complain anymore and went ro CVS brought cleaning products to wipe down and disinfect areas used. In the hallways the carpat was hanging off the baseboards and they were doing work in one of the courtyards. The elevator carpet always had stuff on it even early in the morning. The overall cleanliness was not good. The staff behind the desk was very nice but the cleaners didn't speak unless spoken too. I wish the hotel would have been upfront about the issue or challenges due to the leak gave people an option. I paid over 700 for 3 days and it was not worth it at all. FYI. 3 other people had to switch rooms due to the strong smell of mildew in my group one of them had a newt crawling up the wall as well.

I think the rating I saw when booking this stay was grossly incorrect. This hotel is under renovation, breakfast was hardly adequate to feed all guests. Floor in bathroom has streaks of blood left near wall.

Our room was very dark. The AC wall vent blew directly onto the bed and there was no way to angle it away, which woke us up every time the air kicked on/off.

Hotel itself was nice. Proximity to the convention center was great. Plenty of places to eat close by. There were four of us traveling for a volleyball tournament. Room that was available was a king (small king at that) and a double sofa bed. The double sofa bed was one that someone slept on the cushions (very hard) and the other part slide out from under the sofa (mattress only about 3” thick). This was not comfortable at all. There was only one set of sheets in the room for this. Onsite parking was full so we had to park at parking garage which cost double the price of onsite parking. Breakfast was ok (eggs, sausage, biscuits were your choice.

Had to ask for a new room because the sliding door did not close all the way.

My only complaint was we had a king suite with 4 people, so two had to sleep on the couch, which was a trundle bed. They only gave us one set of bedding. We asked for another blanket and only got sheets. Also, they wouldn’t give us pillows for the third and fourth person.

My stay here was horrible. I was very uncomfortable giving that the thermostat in the room is only programmed to sit at 71 degrees. There is no over riding this particular thermostat. It got very hot and stuffy in the room. Couldn’t crack the sliding glass door given there was no screen on the door and well it’s also New Orleans! If they want to control the temperature, they should put ceiling fans in these rooms. Nevertheless, I slept horribly. Not the rest I was hoping for after being on the road for 12hrs.

This was an ok hotel. Nothing updated about it, the rooms were small for our family of 5, and the biggest down fall staying here with a family was our room window was parallel to bars that opened at 11pm. Would not recommend this place for a family. We were in NOLA for a saints game and didn’t see this night life there when I looked into the area. However, Biggest downfall for the overall stay was the construction that is happening in the lobby and elevators. They were down to using only one elevator the day we checked out. All of that was just a hot mess. As far as the Employees, they were fine, nothing crazy on customer service or did anything to make you feel welcomed. All in all, I will never stay here again unless it’s a last resort for my husband and I.

The property is undergoing repairs/construction, which made the stay a little less appealing. Housekeeping was nonexistent, even with us staying there 3 days. Asked for a blanket and never got it. Had to eventually go to the front desk to retrieve. The breakfast was the same every single day….if you don’t like sausage, then you were out of luck. For the most part, front desk was friendly, however, there was one lady who was extremely rude when I inquired about fees for my valet parking. Speaking of valet parking, it’s expensive, but the drivers were very nice and accommodating. I probably would not stay here again.

We requested towels, and they took over an hour to be delivered.

The entire staff was extremely nice and helpful. I had some issues with a package that was supposed to be delivered to the hotel and they were on it keeping me informed on the delivery and helping reroute the package when it arrived after I left. The hotel itself was quite lovely. Would absolutely stay there again.

Hotel over booked for the night so I didn’t have a room there for two nights. Supervisor on duty was not very understanding and lied that the renaissance hotel room will accommodate my party.

Our overall experience was wonderful once we got our room. We were delayed into our room reservation until 5:00 pm because room was not ready.

The hotel was fine, room decent size, beds comfortable. The only issue was that there are few things to do within walking distance. The parking attendants are very helpful

We had a wonderful stay. The hotel is located a 15 minute walk from the heart of the French Quarter, there are 20+ local restaurants and bars within a 10-15 minute walk or just around the corner. A list of local restaurants is available at the desk during check in. About a 10 minute walk from the Street Car that runs up and down St Charles street. All the employees were very helpful and gave great suggestions on where to eat and shop.

Location is pretty good for walking to canal street and Jackson square. We were able to take the trolley to city park. We also enjoyed a cruise in the creole queen. The area is very basic and is fine during the day light. The rooms are nice and the beds are very comfortable.

Accessible to the riverwalk and within walking distance to restaurants, shops without the expensive parking at the French Quarter

Very close to convention center. About 15 mins walk to canal street. Cheaper option Quite If interested in tourism can stay around Canal street. Which puts you midway between French quarters and convention center in both directions. More restaurants and activities near canal street.

Rooms were good, got the basic Marriott standard. Vallet Parking is $42+Taxes. Front lobby construction is going on so things are bit unorganized now. Just stayed for 1 night, found the room service is slow / unresponsive over phone. Overall good, no major concerns.

Lovely place to stay, even through their renovation. Staff was great, beds were comfy. Breakfast could’ve been a little better, but they were not in their usual spaces due to the renovation. I would only seek more opportunities to recycle.

The breakfast of the property can be change little instead of the same food everyday. Also valet parking fee is on the high side.
