Nice place in the French Quarter with pretty decent service. The pool is sad though, and if it would have been better, it would have made things much better.

The ice machines are always out of order. Everything else is good and convenient to Bourbon Street.

The hotel is great and in a very good location. Rooms are very clean! The pool is a little smaller but fine! There is a bar on the property as well. If you don’t like noises at night ask for an interior vs balcony room. Also when we stayed in the summer the AC seemed to be comfortable but not cold. Overall a pleasant stay!

Really nice stay. Liked the room and hotel location. One of the two elevators was broken down during the stay. Overall I would recommend it to people wanting to stay in the French Quarter.

Onsite parking was easy and convenient ($50/night). All hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Our balcony room on the 3rd floor was quite noisy. I would suggest requesting an inside room. The hotel is historic but a bit tired. Beds were comfortable, lighting very dim. All was very clean, shower was great.The free cocktail, morning coffee and pool are nice amenities. Offers 2 elevators for easy access to upper floors. Good location in the French Quarter. Walkable to restaurants, jazz and Jackson Square.

The staff members are very hospitality, they try to make sure that you are very comfortable. The hotel itself is full of mold, mildew, dirty carpet and not kept up to par, I will never stay there again.They need a whole upgrade of the bathroom with backup sewage, and mold on the ceiling shower curtain, and bathroom. I changed my room three times and it was still everywhere.

The room had a moldy smell about it and the carpet by the windows were soaked. Requested a new room but they didn't have one available. Staff was kind enough to refund me my money back.

We picked the hotel as it was in close proximity to the venue we had commitments to. While the staff was kind and hospitable and the common areas were presentable, the room we had was not in good condition at all. If I was the staff, I would heavily consider not renting that room. The images this hotel uses in advertising do not represent the room we were given. The image and description on the specific room we rented also did not match the choice room. Our bedsheets had RIPS in them. The carpet had major wrinkles that created fall hazards - hello liability lawsuit. The bathroom has seen better days as the cleaning staff must work tirelessly to prevent the visible evidence of mold from flourishing. Blackout curtains? Those don't exist and you're lucky if the storm shutter stays closed, as ours did not unless we wedged something to keep them shut. The door to the room from the hall had a 1.5 inch gap which was more than enough to allow light and sounds in at all hours of night. Can't skip over the location of the room, conveniently right next to the elevator and above the bar downstairs so incredibly loud at all hours. All of that to say, I am incredibly glad that stay is over as I will never do it again or recommend it to any one - regardless of proximity. Good Riddance.

I chose this hotel after staying in another small, historic FQ hotel last year. I ended up being somewhat disappointed in the lack of upkeep & cleanliness of the Dauphine. Pros: The staff were very nice & helpful anytime we needed anything (towels, extra shampoo & hand soap). The pool looked very clean, although we didn’t have a chance to use it. Beds were made & towels replaced daily. Cons: Like most places in humid climates, there was a slight smell to the room. The carpet throughout the halls & in the room is very worn and disgustingly stained & dirty. I didn’t see or hear a vacuum over 3 days. The headboards are fabric, and are significantly stained as well. The chair to the desk was stained & torn. A room survey card completed in 2024 was still on the desk. Mini shampoo & bodywash bottles were provided, but we had to ask for hand soap. The bar soap wrappers from the last guests were left in the shower. We never got enough towels (3 of us) & what we got varied (first day: 2 towels + 4 washcloths, 2nd day: 2 towels, washcloths, hand towels + bath mat, 3rd day: 2 towels + 2 washcloths). I wore my flip flops everywhere, including in the shower, and only covered with a sheet (pulling the blanket & top sheet off because I doubt they’re laundered after each guest). The lobby didn’t offer water or anything. Overall, I would not stay here again due to the condition of the rooms & the location. I’d recommend a place on Royal Street and beyond.

Carpets needed to be cleaned. they were filthy and very noticeable. Other than that, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Enjoyed my stay.

Tons of food options, bed was extremely comfy, free wifi, and just about everything is within walking distance. It was quite loud at night, but this is New Orleans and as it's only about a block from Bourbon Street, that's to be expected. It's an older hotel, and defi6has signs of wear and tear and party scars, but linens and towels were clean. There was a coffee maker so that was a plus😊 The pool was on the smaller side and it stayed pretty busy so we didn't get to try it out but our boys did and they had a good time. Both Valet worker we encountered were friendly, (especially the lady on the first night!), and the front desk workers were both kind and helpful. Our room has a private balcony you could get through by stepping through the window, and we all enjoyed interacting with the passerbys on the street below. All in all it was a pleasant stay in a quaint, historic NOLA hotel. No ghost encounters this trip, but I am sure we will be back again 😊

Old building, first room on check in had mold on the ceiling and a bug on the box spring after checking. Switched rooms and the 2nd room had hair in the sink and an old vomit stain on the side of the bed. Headboards are very questionable too, tbh I paid too much money a night for all that. Also, some parts of the hotel hallways are dark, this omits an ominous feeling, but not really “haunted.” Didn’t try the hotel bar though. The saving grace is that it’s 2 blocks from Bourbon st and about 15 min walk to Frenchmen st. Anyway you get less than what you paid for, better off with an Airbnb or chain hotel. Staff were very nice though!!

Great if you want to stay walking distance from bourbon street and local attractions… room was clean.. had an iron but no ironing board.. no refrigerator and/or microwave…neighbors screamed because there was a lizard in their room.. I had a small bug in my bathroom.. only one ice machine was working and it was on the second floor, only reason I knew that was because I went to the desk and the man working was headed to get ice too. Tub would not drain but it was fixed by the time I made it back to my room.. any complaints or issues I had were solved.

Our room had water stains on the bed skirt and the carpet was wet in some areas. We didn’t get clean towels or the trash taken out for our whole stay. The only good thing was the convenience of the location

Located 2 blocks from Bourbon Street. Staff was beyond helpful and valet BJ was amazing! Rooms could use some TLC and decent cable you can watch.

You never know what you're gonna get with a "boutique" hotel. It was okay overall, facilities could use a refresh. TV could use an upgrade and more channels. We got a balcony view which we thought would be great but it was SO LOUD. The staff was fabulous though. Michael really took care of us.

Perfect location, valet parking. The staff was nice. There where no refrigirator in the room witch we would have liked. We woke up by the sounds from the trash collectors at 5 in the morning.

The location and staff were fantastic! The courtyard with the pool and the quaint bar, May Baily’s, was an added bonus. However, the room was not-so-fantastic. It was clean, but it stops there. The beds were fulls, not queens and each had a huge pit in them that you rolled into. Only two of the six pillows were worth sleeping on. No room refrigerator was a negative also. Apparently, there were suppose to be two pictures on the wall as the hooks were there, no pics. My sister’s room had wall hooks and wall decor on the hooks. The biggest disappointment was the television on the wall was small, dated and it didn’t work. We had sound, but no picture. We told the desk, maintenance came up, said it didn’t work and nothing else was done. Would have been nice to watch tv in the mornings getting ready and at night before bed. No offering of a new tv or discount were given. If we stay there again, we will stay in a suite or king size room on the other side of the courtyard. Don’t waste your time or money on the “queen” rooms.

The location is excellent. You’re far enough from Bourbon Street that if you sit on the balcony, you can hear the music faintly, but if you’re in your room, it doesn’t wake you up.

Our room and the property itself were very clean and the location in the French Quarter is perfect for dining, shopping, etc. I felt like the pictures of the rooms on the website were very deceiving as the 2 rooms we had were very shabby/rundown (unappealing carpet, rough towels, no bathrobes, lamps that barely worked, outlets coming out of the walls, cracked tiles/grout, very low counters, very low shower heads w/no water pressure, tiny hairdryer, no fridge in the room, no safe, etc.).

Went with my grandkids so not a lot of night life. TV is an attenae and most stations were static. AC didnt work very well so didnt get very good. Sleep.

I have stayed at Dauphine Orleans off and on for about 24 years. The location is awesome!! The hotel has not done any upgrades to their rooms. On my recent stay, 5/8/25 - 5/11/25, the room safes had no key, (couldn't lock up any valuables) water was standing in the tub while showering, the remote control for the tv had tape holding the batteries in place and there was no phone in the room so i had to use my cell phone for service. Needless to say since there was no secure place to put my valuables I opted to leave the do not disturb sign on my door and forgo any room cleaning service. The staff and service was outstanding!! Very courteous and professional. They accommodated our request for a refrigerator in the room. The hotel needs serious updates. This is 2025 and the decor and amenities are much the same as they were in 2001, outdated. I hope there is some improvement for my next visit to the "Big Easy". I love this city and will continue to visit but maybe stay at an updated hotel. Dauphine Orleans please move into the digital world!! I should not have to worry about valuables being safe while out enjoying your city. I will be back. I hope i can stay with you and have a better experience.

My husband and I came to NOLA for a long weekend and stayed here. We absolutely loved our room! The bathroom was beautiful, the space was generous, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The location was also perfect—within walking distance of Bourbon Street and the French Quarter—which saved us a lot on Ubers. We would have easily given this hotel 4–5 stars, but our checkout experience unfortunately brings the rating down to 3 stars. On the morning of our departure, housekeeping stopped by around 9am. We let her know we were still in the room. Around 10:30am, I heard her in the hallway complaining that we were still inside. Then, around 11am, she knocked again. I told her we were checking out that day and would be leaving shortly. Since checkout is at 12pm, we didn’t understand the rush. When we checked out at 11:30am, the front desk clerk was on the phone with the same housekeeper, who was still complaining about us being in the room. I confirmed with the clerk that checkout is indeed at 12pm, and he said everything was fine. Despite that, we left feeling rushed and disrespected. We were well within our right to stay until checkout, and her attitude came across as rude and unprofessional. We would still love to return on our next visit to NOLA—the hotel itself is wonderful. Hopefully next time the housekeeping team will be in better spirits!

If you're thinking of staying at the Dauphine, please read this review. This is one of those great instances where people go above and beyond for strangers. My girlfriend and I stayed there for three days/two nights. On the second day, we had horrific food poisoning, having nothing to do with the Dauphine, that completely and physically debilitated us. We were taken to the hospital by ambulance. The room was an absolute mess when we left due to how sick we were. When we came back from the emergency room, we were greeted by someone at the front desk who knew what he had been through and wanted to make sure we were ok. We got back to the room, and it was spotless. You could eat off the floor; it was so clean. The next morning, someone from the front desk came by to check on us and gave us a late checkout, allowing us to sleep in longer. This property is already such a gem, and the staff's professionalism, empathy, and generosity make the Dauphine such a special and unique property. We can't possibly recommend this property enough.

Amazing staff at every possible service point! Had a great long couple's weekend. Jennifer the bartender and Ms Nola the valet took amazing care of us and had great recommendations for us. Great location convenient to everything in the FQ.

I've stayed here 5 times over the past 6 years, and have always enjoyed my time - until recently. This trip we didn't have a key for the first day of our stay because the machine was broken (they were completely unapologetic about this somehow), the toilet barely flushed, the tub backed up, there was black mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, and the entire room felt unclean, dank, and musty. They also refused to grant a late check-out despite it being Tuesday on a slow tourism week. (Again, unapologetic). While stashing my bags for the afternoon the valet even made a comment requesting a tip when I came back. Major service industry faux pas... I will not be returning.

Jeff and Jessica at the front desk and Richard the valet were great. The hotel needs a facelift but we were told they are under new management for just a week and they are going to make renovations.

I booked 2 rooms, one for my family and 1 for my friends. The valet, BJ, greeted us when we arrived to the hotel. He was very nice. The ladies that checked us in were very friendly. The hotel is old which is expected and one of the reasons why we booked it. The beds were comfy. There is little room for your clothes, but it wasn't an issue for us. The issue we had was with the valet named Richard. Dauphine is a narrow street and when we drove back to the hotel from an airboat tour, the cones were placed at the entrance and Richard was nowhere to be seen. We waited at least 5 minutes and we were backing up traffic all the way down Dauphine. My huband moved a cone so he could atleast pull in and stop blocking traffic. Richard finally came out 5 minutes later and started yelling at my husband. He berated him in front of my children and friends for 5 minutes. It was completely uncalled for and unprofessional. Richard should never talk to guests in the manner that he did to my husband. Everyone else at the hotel was nice, but Richard was one of the rudest people I've ever met. He wouldn't let it go. When my husband told him why he pulled in Richard said, "I don't care! Let them wait! This is more work for me!"

My stay at Dauphines was wonderful. Staff was amazing and the pool looked great. I was greeted evertime I entered and asked if everything was ok with my stay. There was a minor plumbing issue that was handled swiftly. The location is the best if you want to be close to Burbon street but not in the mix. The woman who worked on 11/20/25 in pm was fantastic. The gentleman who worked in valet were very efficient and friendly. The next day at checkout the lovely lady ((Kantrell) Went above and beyond to assist with printing some documents. This was a great start to my adventure.

Staff was the nicest I've experience. Our room did have an outlet hanging out of the wall that wasn't usable. The water pressure in the shower wasn't amazing, but it got us clean. The TV was very staticy. But I would recommend this hotel for a decent price and due to the pool and the location.

The stay was bad for several reasons: - It took no less than 1 hour (after travelling for 10ish hours) to get checked in because the hotel had no reservation for me. It took a lot of back and forth with multiple Hotels.com agents to finally get added into their system. - The room (as advertised) is not correct. The room I received was not even close to the room I chose, and after asking the front desk, they confirmed that the room advertised (both on Hotels.com and the hotel's website) is actually a suite. So they're advertising a nice room for a good rate to get you to book, but then give you a huge downgrade.. - Hotel staff knocked on my door three times in the 2 hours leading up to check out, which was super annoying. Apparently, they just wanted to know if I was still there?? - I found a cockroach in my bathroom The best part of my stay was Kentrell at the front desk. She was so kind and helpdul!

Really like the hotel would definitely recommend a friend. Hotel room was very spacious, staff was very friendly and responsive.Ac was nice lol had to turn it off a couple of times. My tub was stopped they came and fixed it. Overall my experience was lovely and I will definitely stay again.

Positive: Great location to stay in. Everything within walking distance or to get to local transportation. Great staff service. Older hotel, which was expected from on-line reviews. Clean room. Negative: I was expecting street noise from cars a people. However, I wasn’t prepared for the garbage truck daily at 3:00-6:00am in the morning and street cleaners with power washers.

If you’re shopping around for a French Quarter hotel…BOOK THIS PLACE. It’s perfect for a weekend trip of fun and food! We had a nice stay at the hotel. We came to celebrate a birthday. It was literally a 2 min. Walk to Bourbon street craziness. But, far enough way that you can sleep in peace & quiet. Parking was $50 a day 😕 but, your car is completely safe in a locked parking garage with an amazing attendants that greeted us each and every time we came & went. The morning complimentary coffee hit the spot. Location is absolutely what sells the place. You literally can’t beat it!! Walk everywhere since driving in The French Quarter is insane. And parking is worse. The staff is so friendly. Really helpful. I loved talking to Joe in the maintenance dept. nice guy. Very knowledgeable of the area. It was an amazing stay & we will be back to this hotel again.

Location is a highlight of this hotel two blocks from Bourbon Street far enough to hear the music on your balcony faintly, but not enough to keep you awake staff was excellent

Great location. It is close to Bourbon street, but not loud at night so you can sleep. The beds were comfortable and the staff was nice. My kids liked the pool too. Great stay.

I loved the old charm of the hotel! There is a bar accessible from the pool area or the street right by entrance to hotel, May Bailys Place. It is a quiet bar with great drinks! Our room was easy to access, staff was phenomenal and very helpful! 10/10 recommend and will likely book again in future! Really enjoyed our stay here!

Very old property which is awesome!! One block from Bourbon St so great location. Staff and everyone very courteous. Didn’t take any photos of the hotel itself. Did go inside the hotel connected bar, May Bailey’s Place, great atmosphere and drinks. Went into the saltwater pool at the hotel once or twice and it’s an AMAZING escape from the humidity when needed.

No coffee maker. No fridge or microwave. They don’t serve coffee downstairs until 7:30 am. Can’t use pool until 4. Roaches. Hair on shower. Room was so hot. No AC. Had to buy fan. Not enough towels. Hard bed. Cheap flat pillows. All ice machines Except for 1 was broken. Forced to pay valet even though it was on sight parking. Plug ins were broken. Plug-ins were behind furniture and hard to access. Tv was blurry and difficult to watch. Bathroom was HOT. The staff and valet were kind but it’s a shame I paid this much for a terrible room. It’s not fair and it’s unethical. I have never wanted to leave a hotel as bad as I wanted to leave this one. We were miserable. We woke up at 6am just to get out it of that dump asap. And didn’t even have access to coffee I don’t recommend this hotel and will never stay there again. I live near Nola and ho there 4-6x a year. I will sleep on the streets before I step foot in the Dauphine

First & foremost the staff was AMAZING. The hotel was nice and the location was perfect. There were a few things (minor) that I was disappointed with. I wish they would have someone clean the pool more often and I was very disappointed that the televisions in the rooms are antenna. Most of our channels were static & there wasn't much of a variety. Oh! and please get better coffee LOL but our trip was amazing & I would definitely stay there again

A charming hotel in the Quarter. Great centralized location for wandering around. Lovely courtyard. The only thing recommendation I could make would be to keep the bar open 7 days a week and add a restaurant or, at the very least, a vending machine.

When we arrived staff were very friendly. Once we got to the room the balcony overlooked the garage and there was a very dirty chair in the room. We asked to be moved and they were very kind and moved us to a much nicer room. Hotel is in a great location to everything which was great. The bonus to this hotel is May Baileys bar. What a gem! We had our nightcap there every night and music was always fantastic. No surprise, it is NOLA after all. Vibe in there was fantastic! If I stayed again it would be for May Baileys and the location.
