At Harrah’s New Orleans – A Caesars Rewards Destination, travelers like the walkable location, but many report confusion between the Caesars and Harrah’s towers at check-in and say the overall amenities are more limited than expected.

I recently discovered the difference that booking directly with Caesars can make. Although my third-party rate was essentially the same as my colleagues’ direct bookings, the experience was vastly different. They were accommodated in suite-level rooms in the main Caesars tower, while I was placed across the street at Harrah’s. While Harrah’s itself isn’t terrible, the property feels dated and lacks in-room amenities—just soap and hand lotion were provided. The longer walk to the casino was inconvenient, and my encounter with the front desk manager was disappointing. She was dismissive, condescending, and offered no meaningful assistance, granting me only a 30-minute late checkout extension. Although the trip itself was successful thanks to great company, I left with a poor impression of Caesars’ approach to third-party guests. My recommendation: stay at a nearby property and simply visit Caesars for the casino or sportsbook experience.

Staff was very helpful in getting me a room when the Hotels.com reservation was not in their system (Hotels.com problem, not Caesar’s)

The hotel stay was great. The view from the room was fantastic. The faculty was clean and quiet. The location for my meeting at the convention center was great. The only issue was when checking out they charged me the full price of the stay but I had prepaid hotels.com. I chatted with hotels.com staff before check out who told me they would fix it and to allow the hotel to charge my card and it would be removed. I have chatted with hotels on line, sent them all the documents they requested and I am still double charged for the stay. I would not prepay hotels.com for a stay at this point.

Did not stay at Caesar’s hotel. It was the hotel across the street. Should have disclosed that in the booking
