Valet,concierge and front desk were outstanding. Housekeeping was average. Also, we are still here because of their parking facilities. Our car, and many others are stuck on a lift that the Double Tree uses because a motor is not working. We were supposed to check out today and be in Nashville. We had to cancel and forced to change our reservations and end up paying more there. Double Tree doesn’t have any answers on when we will get our car…it’s been 24 hours since broken!! At this time, we don’t know when we’re getting out of here. Expedia, we need your help.

The Location of the hotel is perfect at canal st. It has a restaurant in the 1st floor, also a cafe & beignets place next to the hotel it is so convenient… Casino and mall are right there too. You Can just walk to French Quarter, bourbon St, the port, aquarium, Catedral of St Louis and more. Particularly about room experience it was ok, but could be better. The AC never got under 68F, the city is so hot and Pool wasn’t open because it’s “under construction” that’s why I cant reward this hotel as 5 stars.

The bathroom was extremely small with no counter space and very small shower. Had to pay $52 per day for valet parking only to wait 45 minutes for my vehicle(hidden feature). Breakfast was $22 for a disgusting meal (cold food and stale pastries). The bell hops were very nice!

We stayed her because the reviews were amazing along with the photos. However, it turned out to be the complete opposite. Took a 9 hour road trip to receive a dirty room. Took an hour for them to move us to get another dirty room and the bathroom smelled moldy.

We always stay here when in New Orleans. This trip was not so good. There was a terrible sewer smell coming from the drains in the bathroom. Someone did come up and poured something in drains to take care of the smell. It worked for a little while but came back. So disappointing. It could also use a good cleaning and updating.

Absolutely disgusting experience at the DoubleTree New Orleans. First, I was given a filthy room and had to immediately switch. The second room was somehow worse—there were rats. Mid-morning, while repairs were being done in the room next door, I suddenly heard what sounded like a stampede of rats running and squeaking through the walls. It was so loud I thought they were inside my room. I literally jumped on the bed in fear. When I called the front desk, they casually offered me another room… as if moving me would solve the fact that there are clearly rats infesting the hotel. Completely unacceptable and disturbing. Never staying here again.

We had an amazing stay at Double Tree! This was our first time in New Orleans and found the location to be perfect. The hotel was clean. Check in and out went smooth. We will definitely consider Double Tree for our text trip to New Orleans.

This place has really gone downhill recently. I stayed here previously in April 2022 and had an excellent stay. It’s in a great location, walkable to the quarter, but removed from the noise and chaos. Room was clean and in great condition and staff were super friendly, and available for anything you might need. So when it came time to revisit New Orleans, I chose to come back here. Unfortunately the room this time was in horrible condition. The area around the AC was moldy, and the thing made constant clanking noises like a loud, ticking clock. It also couldn’t cool below about 70 degrees - fine for April in NoLa, but would be miserable in the summer. There was mold around the upper area of the toilet bowl, indicating it hadn’t been properly scrubbed in a while, and ceiling tiles out of place in the bathroom. The tile grout on the bathroom floor was filthy as well, though shower grout was in good, clean condition. A lot of the issues seemed like maintenance problems stemming from poor management and probably staffing cutbacks (all too common these days.) The staff I interacted with were still very pleasant, but the hotel itself is in shambles compared to what it used to be. Not planning on returning.

The AC was not producing cold air. Desk agent said hotel was sold out and couldn't move us. After maintenance came to room, he adjusted something and said it should work in a few hours and if not, call back to front desk. After being gone for 5 hours, the room was hotter. Called front desk and she had 5 other rooms she wanted us to look at to see if they were cooler. They weren't cooler and they were in the same location just on higher floors as ours. The last room she showed us was a very small double bedded room (we had reserved a king suite) but the AC worked so we downgraded and moved our belongings. Desk agent was very helpful in finding a room with working AC, but no discount provided for downgraded room.

Unfortunately, we were actually disappointed in this Doubletree. Our checkout was delayed till after the normal 4 PM check in time we had requested a high floor with a view and we basically got a room with a view of a building out our window. From an angle, you could see the bridge, which was nice. Our particular room was very tired. The furniture had broken handles. The bedding was not comfortable. It did not feel clean. We were constantly having to request cups, coffee, and sugar as Housekeeping did not remember to leave those items when they cleaned.

When I arrived about 5, the room that I booked apparently was given to someone else, so they gave me a room with double beds. I had to go to the desk twice because the key wouldn’t work. The room was cozy and comfortable with very great street views and good walking distance from local places . The room didn’t have a microwave which was very weird.

Bed was comfortable and the room was clean but the furniture looked like someone had trashed the room at some point. Our room also had 2 adjoining room doors, through which we could hear every conversation of our neighbors. And because it was Halloween, they were often drunk and screaming at all hours of the night. We tried calling the front desk to make noise complaints but no one ever picked up. If you are looking for anything other than a place to drunkenly crash after partying, look elsewhere.

Rooms were clean, beds incredibly comfortable. Food choices nearby are exactly what you need. Everything was walkable although a few tested our persistence. Cal at the Front Desk was awesome, Ian in the bar - Perfect bartender, all of the guys at the Valet Desk were excellent. Margot at the Concierge desk took really good care of us. As for them by name if you go. Great staff.

My stay was most unfortunate. From entry into the poorly mopped floors in the lobby, to the elevators not working. The staff was inconsiderate and unprofessional. At check-in the front desk tried to accommodate me by allowing an early check-in, to find out they had mistakenly given out that same room key to THREE different patrions. I found out by walking into one guess asking staff to throw my personal items out of the room. To then be walked in on by another person with acess to the locked door. For this property to have the "Hilton" brand connected to it is absolutely deplorable and unacceptable. I will not be staying at another Doubletree property. I felt unsafe in knowing who had "access" to my room and the cleanliness of this property sub par.

We arrived after a Mississippi River cruise at a little before noon, more than 4 hours before check-in time. The room we were scheduled for was not yet ready, but Gary at the front desk found another room that we could get right into. We VERY much appreciated this. The day before we were to check out, we tried to print out our airline boarding passes on the computer there. We asked Derek at the front desk for help, and he printed the passes out for us. We VERY much appreciated this also. So accolades to Gary and Derek.

The hotel was conveniently located which made getting around town nice. It was in pretty good shape and had some decent amenities. Most the staff was great but the check in hosts were truly terrible. We had reservations for months. We had just gotten off an all noght flight and were exhausted. Granted we arrived early and they said they were doing what they could to get us rooms, but we ended up waiting all day just to be told our room still wasn’t ready by check in. Then what were you guys doing this whole time?!? Even then we waited an extra hour and they still weren’t concerned and I had to go remind them we still didn’t have a room. Just really bad customer service.

We came in for the weekend for the football game and the hotel was perfect for us. We were close enough to Caesars Superdome, the French Quarter and Caesars Casino to walk. It was super easy to check in and out and all the staff were polite and helpful. Will definitely stay here again.

The receptionist attitude was horrible from the moment I arrived, she was not professional, she did not smile, she seemed so miserable and unhappy to be at her job. I didnt feel welcomed or any type of warmth from her, I told myself I will not ever book another reservation there due to her presence. I refuse to go there again if I have to be greeted with a receptionist like that. The worse check in experience, she made me want to cancel my reservation in that moment and just leave.

Front desk staff was nice and welcoming, check in was very smooth and easy. The hotel was older, but clean. I felt safe there and it was in more quiet part of town, however, you can hear the neighboring hotel room doors slamming so loud that it wakes you up at night. Didn't rent a car for my trip since parking was quite costly at $52/night but luckily this hotel is located in a good convenient location. Only about 10-15 min walk to Bourbon Street and French Quarter and Caesar's Casino is right across the street. There is also plenty of shopping and restaurants available nearby. Streetcar picks up and drops off right across the street also.

The hotel was very nice and in a great spot! It is right on canal Street and we were able to walk to everything in the French quarter easily. The hotel was clean and safe and the staff were very nice! It was close enough to everything without being right in the middle of all of it. Definitely would stay here again!

Breakfast was an issue each morning, took forever to take and place orders and receive food (one day had to get take away because we would miss our day trip), only Valet parking at $52 a night, I was charged twice for the room stay so had to sort that out. Our toiletries didn’t get topped up so ran out of bath soap and didn’t get new face washes. For the price we paid I wasn’t very impressed with the service. Also no laundry service was available.

This was my first time at the hotel and to NOLA for my birthday weekend. When I arrived at the front desk the person looked tired and didn't smile or anything. She didn't give me information about breakfast or anything. I had to find out myself. The room was good. I slept good and I'm happy the room provided shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The water pressure in the shower was decent, and it didn't seem like I was taking a shower in light pressure water. When I checked out the manager didn't greet me or anything. He didn't smile and just gave me my hotel reciept. The staff needs to work on their hospitality skills They weren't cheery or anything. They didn't seem like they wanted to be there. NOT GOOD.. The only place where I felt welcome was when I had breakfast every morning. Marie who works there was so sweet and took care of me with whatever I needed. In all, it was on a great location to walk to Bourbon Street and French Quarters. The front desk needs help !!!

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The area is well lit and seems safe. The hotel is conveniently located to the casino, French quarter, restaurants, and shopping. The bed was was comfortable. The room was pretty clean, although I did find an empty water bottle from a previous guest between the headboard and nightstand. The hotel could use some updating. The food served from the bar was good, as we're the pastries and bread from P J's Cafe. They had a breakfast buffet for $22, but we didn't try it. I would stay there again based on overall cleanliness, friendliness of staff, convenience and safety.

Although I read mixed reviews of the hotel, I found it to be satisfactory in every way. The staff was accommodating, especially the valet parking group, although the $52 per day cost was higher than the norm. The parking area used was well protected and could be seen from the street so that was a plus. The breakfast options were limited and not particularly tasty and the cost was high for a simple buffet breakfast. The room was fine and comfortable and cleaned daily, which is not always the case in this era. Appreciated.
