La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham New Orleans Downtown

The bed was comfortable but the pillows were so small almost for a baby …I had a King room the room gave the aesthetic but it’s outdated compared to the one I just visited in Atlanta…pretty close to everything …Valet is $57 per night $150 deposit card in had no Apple Pay …complementary breakfast and also get a complimentary drink upon check in ..but overall it’s was okay …will keep this property in mind

Nice hotel conveniently located within minutes of the French Quarter…Just a few knocks on my stay…1) non workable TVs in the fitness center.2) lack luster breakfast with the same breakfast items in the morning( improvement & variety needed!)…3) no available microwave in the lobby/dining area would be helpful…

I really enjoyed my stay. The food was excellent. The staff is very friendly and kind above and beyond with Service. We ordered extra tiles and it was in our room by the end of the day. The security is the best. We also went swimming and everything was neat and clean. I would recommend it to anyone.

Expedia falsely advertises that the hotel offers parking (at a relatively reasonable rate of $30 per night for Downtown New Orleans), which is a major attraction. However the hotel DOES NOT offer parking! Instead, the desk clerk can direct you to neighboring parking lots, some of which are unsafe and overpriced and others are simply overpriced. This is really misleading.

The valet for parking is lacking help. Needs improvement. The front desk clerks are not top friendly. Maybe due to being overwhelmed and no additional help as well.

I guess you get what you pay for. I did the pre checking to still have a room all the way on the 15th floor Wi-Fi does not work on this floor what a pressure is horrible, air conditioning barely works, an the lighting, it was so dim. None of the ice machines work. Staffing was nice but seemed limited. Housekeeping does not come every day.So if you need new bath, towels or the garbage changed or anything like that, you have to request it and it still may not come the same day.

You have to use a card to access your he lobby but a member of staff did let us in to check-in. I was not aware that a 150.00 deposit is charged at check in but is refunded when checking out. The refund will be received according to your bank processing time. Only one elevator works. That was only a problem when we were ready to leave we had to wait and pile into an elevator with others. Stairs weren’t an option being on the 10th floor. I didn’t use the drink ticket but it was nice. Both attendants at check in and check out were kind. Cleaning staff did come before we could check out but she was very kind when asked if we could go

I enjoyed this property and definitely would love to stay here again, the breakfast was exactly what you expect with the basics cereal, waffles, sausages, fried eggs, and bagels, it's only one working elevator although you see two. It's a bar that you can order food from the desk accepts cash only so please have some form of a card. Parking is a minimum of $42 daily more if you plan on leaving out during your stay or to have valet parking as well. Didn't have any bad things to say although my shower curtain was dirty from the previous shower(s) so i didn't like that, everything was walking distance so that made it a 10/10

The pool was dirty. The location is excellent for exploring Canal Street and City Center.

Rooms are ok. Need some TLC. Restrooms in the lobby was filthy as hell. Location is great. But for the price and conditions, there may be other good options around.

I was really disappointed with my recent stay. The lobby looked nice, but the rooms were a different story. I traveled from Miami for a business trip to coordinate a Sweet 16, arriving on Thursday morning. Unfortunately, the front desk host, Kierra, was quite rude when I asked about the extra $372 charge, especially since I had already paid through Expedia and was told I only needed to pay $52 upon arrival. On top of that, parking cost over $50 a day, plus a resort fee and a $150 deposit. When we entered the room, we were greeted by a roach crawling on the floor. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages—dust everywhere, a stained rug, and a refrigerator that didn’t work. I expressed my concerns to Kierra, but she promised to send maintenance and never followed through. The only redeeming factor was the location, which was convenient for restaurants and shopping off Canal, but the free breakfast was terrible. I usually stay at the Marriott on St. Charles during my trips to New Orleans, but I made the last-minute decision to try LaQuinta this time and completely regretted it. I won’t be staying here again.

Property condition is not that great, overall not happy with the stay

We booked a room there two nights ago and went to sleep and woke up to several bed bugs in our bed. My arm had been bitten several times and was obviously swollen. The sheets look like they had not been washed and the room had barely been cleaned. The lady at the front desk was rude and management did nothing about the situation. We were stuck standing in our room the entire morning while we got ready to check out because we obviously could not sit on the beds. I have never been more disgusted by a hotel establishment. Management said they would follow up with us but of course they never did. Will be certainly taking this to corporate and I 100% recommend nobody stay at this La Quinta unless you enjoy sleeping in bed bugs and rudeness from the hotel staff.

Very clean, great hotel, is close to everything. Breakfast was great. I can stay here again.

Room was very clean

The property was nice. Great location. Great amenities. GREAT PROBLEM: Bed bugs. I received a couple of bites. I have pictures of the bedbugs and the bites. Was transferred to a different room. I was told the exterminator had been there and said there were no more bedbugs. Evidently he didn’t get them all.

Room smelled of marijuana, it was unclean, and rust all around the tub. Nevermind there is no mention of onsite parking, with the nearest being $50.

The staff here are incredibly nice but if you want a clean hotel this is not it! There was dried blood on my comforter and pillow! But I was also asked to change it myself sadly.

Toilet was too low, shower bar was hanging, carpet had stains. They had to change our room from the smell of mildew.

The rooms were great and spotless, the only issues was the toilets, they are too low. I am an older lady with hip and leg issues they are too low to get up and down from. My husband also had issues getting on and off of the toilets as well. You need to consider the elderly and disabled people. The staff was amazing

The biggest issue I had was the a/c. The air was not cold, even though it was set to 60 it didn’t blow cold. I get really congested at night when it’s too, I had a hard time sleeping unfortunately, due to me not being able to breathe because of stuffiness.

This place is great for the location, but our room & the facility did not meet the standard of other Wyndham locations I’ve stayed at. We were a party of 3 and stays 3 nights in room 1503. The TV in the room did not work. The fridge had a rotten smell coming from it & there was mold in the cabinet that it was stored in. The room didn’t have any airflow which made it very stuffy in the room. You also don’t get full sized pillows on the bed. A dirty tissue container inside the bathroom had no tissues and they only offer 1 towel per person. Thankfully, we spent a lot of our time outside, but this location should definitely do better. Lastly there is a cat litter smell in the lobby & the smell in the lobby bathroom is even worse (kind of like a bad plumbing/garbage smell). One of the elevators was also not working properly. The doors would get stuck open and close which caused delays.

The staff is wonderful. The property is outdated and somewhat gross. There was hair in the drain, appliances didn’t work very well, and you have to request a room clean 24h in advance which is kind of crazy. The staff made the experience good though, and our beds felt clean/were comfy. Great budget option and walking distance to the Quarter, but just know the property conditions are meh and you get what you pay for.

Worst nights sleep of our trip. The windows kept out no noise, it sounded like the window was wide open. Stayed in several city centre locations and all had good noise insulation. This was terrible and meant we got no sleep. Hotel generally in a good location. Walking distance to Bourbon street etc. Parking cheaper across the street instead of using valet. There was nothing left at 8.45 for breakfast, nothing had been refilled so we left and ate out.

La Quinta is centrally located. You can walk everywhere with no issues. My husband and I walked 3 miles daily during our stay. There is so much to do and see there. The hotel is very nice decorated and well kept. They have a non-smoking policy, which it was really good in my opinion. Our room was in the 10th floor and we had a nice view. It was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. While they don’t have daily housekeeping services, you can let the receptionist know what you need and they will help you with it. We enjoyed our visit and can’t wait to be back in the near future.

The ac said 65 and felt like 70 the entire time. The hallways were hot. It was too warm for September. Bed was firm. If you like a warmer room and a firm bed this place is for you. Everything else was good. Front desk staff were nice, room clean and nice breakfast. Location for shopping and eating was relatively close.

Grumpy personnel useless to fix the lack of wifi for the whole stay (we were on top floor and no internet over there). Very nice room (4star hotel) coupled with a lousy breakfast (2star motel). Strategic position btw

A lot of attractions were within walking distance. The Hotel needs upgrades, and the pictures aren't a correct description of the property.

My overall review would be 1/5! Check in time is 3pm. Arrived at 430pm. Got checked in at 6pm because the room was not ready. When asked if they could compensate for the late check in, she said she could cancel my room if I wanted that but would charge me full amount anyway. WTH! What kind of customer service is that?? The staff who checked me in was nice. It was a different staff who said she would charge me if I wanted to cancel. That was her offer to me when I asked about the compensation (to cancel my room). Then she compensated me one ticket for a free drink at the bar worth $10. When I inquired about a late check out for 1 hour at 12pm, I was told no even though I got checked in later 3 hours late. I paid full price but got 6 hours. TV in living room didn't work even after someone came to fix it. It worked then didn't work again after it was turned off and on later. I didn't bother asking them to fix it again. Pull out couch mattress was disgusting.1/4 of it had blood stain all over like someone was murdered there. Absolutely disgusting. It belongs in the trash; I couldn't sleep on that filthy mattress! Lobby bathroom had no paper towels all 5 days that we stayed there. I used the bathroom there daily. The staff seem nice except one. Will never book there again and will definitely not recommend it to others. I don't think they will give a damn if I had complained about the bloody mattress or the towel issue in the lobby bathroom so I didn't bother reporting it

I booked two rooms here. Site says self parking but that’s a lie. Had to pay $50 for valet. I paid for the destination fee when I booked the rooms but was charged again for the fees when I checked in. Understaffed. Both rooms were not ready and on different floors. The room smelled bad and was very outdated and looked more like a side road motel. Very limited tv channels and the remote half worked. Only plus to our stay was walking distance from everything. We waited 15 minutes or more for our car to be brought down and my seat and screen settings had been changed. Not happy at all. Will not stay here again and do not recommend.

The gesture of the complimentary drink was nice, but they only gave one drink per room when there was two guest assigned to the room. We also had to keep asking for towels and waited for an hour before getting some. There also wasn't any towels for the pool.

The front desk staff was top notch, no matter what day or shift. New to the city, they all helped us navigate the trolleys, stores, and restaurants. They really took the stress off of us!

I don’t usually write reviews but for this property…I’ll make an exception. The ideal location to everything! It’s about 4 short blocks to Burbon St. The staff person at check-in had a HORRIBLE attitude and was very dismissive once I told her I didn’t want to valet park my vehicle. Then when I got to my room, the air conditioner didn’t work. I called the same front desk person and she told me my only option was to downgrade my room with no discount. I told her that was unacceptable and she hung up the phone in my face and didn’t answer again. I will NEVER stay at this location again.

Customer service was great. Rooms were clean, but needed updating. Bathroom doors stuck and got worse throughout the stay. Good location and everything is well within walking distance.

The front desk clerk Nivea was beyond excellent with her customer service skills. She went above and beyond with helping me get the television issues resolved and with helping me get a taxi to the airport after many cabs never showed. I want to say THANK YOU again to Nivea and it's because of her professionalism that I will be staying at this same hotel next year.

Comfortable beds , Very clean , Friendly staff, Willing to help , Checki in and out very easy . Only complaint parking but you can't help that

The free breakfast was consistently good. The staff was mostly great. Our only issues were that when we called the front desk for things, we rarely got what we needed after the first request and had to call multiple times. And on the day before our last day we needed clean towels and were told there was a 4 to 9 hour wait for clean towels.

This is a very nice, budget friendly hotel with an excellent location in New Orleans. Located 2 blocks off of Canal St. & the French Quarter, I found it very easy to walk to the Quarter or get on a tramcar/other public transportation. The room & public spaces were clean. Breakfast was eggs, sausage, waffles, mini muffins, toast cereal, juice. bagels were available on the weekend. I received a free drink ticket for the bar in the lobby when I checked in. The only thing I didn't like was the $35/day "resort fee". There is nothing 'resortlike' about this hotel. Yes, there is a pool, which was nice in the heat, but nothing to justify padding the bill with another fee. Every hotel that I checked before booking had this fee tacked on. La Quinta, just raise the room price & knock off the extra fee rip off. All said, though, I would stay here again.

The hotel is in a great location and has the convenience of checking in and check out online. They offer free breakfast and a free drink in the bar when you arrive. The elevators were kind of old, but they worked without any problem. The guest bathroom in the lobby did not have toilet paper. The light at the entrance of my room did not work, and the room was NOT cleaned/organized every day.

The hotel is in walking distance to Canal Street and Bouborn Street. Breakfast misses the mark it wasn’t always consistent. Only yogurt was offered one day out of a three night stay. Had a small issue with the one lady who was preparing the breakfast. Room service was extremely slow had to wait until after midnight to get a working fridge after requesting maintenance since 11am during early check in which I paid for. Bathroom was not properly cleaned or serviced. Pool area was nice, ice machine was perfect. Bar area was cool the bartender had us jamming.

The bathrooms were horrible. The floors we dirty. They didn't do a good job of cleaning. The pillows were coming apart and there was cotton everywhere. We asked someone to come and clean on the 3rd day, she only change the sheets. The bar was amazing. The drinks were strong and there was good music. The atmosphere was nice. The breakfast was good every morning but the eggs were cold.

Upon arrival check in and valet parking was smooth, when we got to our room the toilet didn't work and promptly it was revised and then they moved us to a better room because it was going to take longer to fix. Super clean, comfortable beds very appreciated after long walks. The valet guys are super attentive. The only thing is the breakfast, the only protein offered while we were there was boiled eggs and sausage but you have to be there super early because it runs out and they don't replenish them, another day, they also ran out of waffle batter at 8:00am and the only options were white bread toast and cold cereal. Besides that, location was fantastic, only 5 minutes to French Quarter.

Tge breakfast at this hotel was a plus. Hotel is centrally located andnis easy to get around by foot. Hotel staff were very polite. My only qualms is paying a "resort fee" for an establishment that falls short of this. Also, the company takes way too long to release the hold for the incidentals.
