Best Western Slidell Hotel

Chelsea at the front desk is so nice and does a great job of checking folks in and explaining hotels policy. The rooms are clean and well set up. The parking lot is very well lit and you can walk over to the Chick Fil A or McDonald's safely.

The elevator broke the 1st day we arrived and continued to smell like burning wire the remainder of our stay. The hotel had a large container in front of the front door and looked like it was closed.

This was in a quiet part of town and was really clean. The breakfast was really good. The pool was nice and clean and my kids really enjoyed it.

My stay was fine however, the security could have been better. The door to the hotel was broke on the side of the building.

I work summers as a contractor at Stennis Space Center, and every time I’m in the area, I stay at the Best Western in Slidell, LA — it’s hands down my go-to place. The recently renovated property is clean, cool, quiet, and incredibly convenient, with restaurants, shops, and everything you need nearby. What truly sets this hotel apart is the staff — especially Ms. Mary at the front desk, who is professional, warm, and always helpful. The team overall is friendly and efficient, making every stay feel like home. Rooms are spotless and consistently well-maintained, with comfy beds, hot showers, great A/C, fast Wi-Fi, microwaves, and fridges. The complimentary breakfast is excellent, with rotating options, healthy choices, and 24/7 coffee. The pool is also a refreshing bonus. Parking is safe and plentiful, and the atmosphere is peaceful — perfect for both professionals and families. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. Whether for work or leisure, Best Western Slidell delivers every time.

It was really nice and clean! The only thing I don’t like is the parking lot is so small… but it was a great experience! The bed was so comfortable!

Staff are great. Room is ok. Breakfast was alright. Fitness center need some more equipment. But everything else are cool.

It was nice. The room was clean but had a musty smell. For some reason, we had to unplug the TV to reset it(had guest services do it). Gym was small like closet size. The parking lot was clean and well lit. My only real issue was that breakfast was only served from 6:30-8:30am on a weekend.

The property needs to be updated. Beds are very old and not comfortable, the first room we tried to check into the AC was broken and not on. Second room was ok. The elevator broke in the middle of the night and someone got stuck in it. We were told at check in we could ask for later check out for $25, in the morning the new front desk person had no idea about any check outs for that price because she always works night shift. Second morning person said there was no such thing and wanted to charge full price for another day to stay past noon. The first morning staff also stated they couldn’t reach anyone to fix the elevator because the maintenance person was not replying to text and calls. Apparently all staff need to be trained so that they are not giving the wrong information.

It’s also incredibly convenient: close to restaurants, stores, bars, and practically everything in Slidell. The staff is what truly makes this hotel stand out. Ms. Mary at the front desk is simply amazing — professional, welcoming, and always one step ahead of your needs. She makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The whole team is efficient, friendly, and accommodating. Rooms are spotless and cleaned daily. I’ve stayed in many different ones throughout my weeks here, and all are equally well-equipped: comfy beds, strong and hot showers, reliable Wi-Fi, microwaves, fridges, and great A/C units. Everything works, and everything is well-kept. The complimentary breakfast is one of the best I’ve had at any hotel — rotating menus with variety, healthy options, fresh juice, and 24/7 coffee available in the lobby. - When booking through 3rd parties like Expedia, there is a $100 refundable fee. - Room was clean enough, didn’t feel grimy or gross. There wasn’t any attention to details like lampshades or the like, but it was fine. - Room smelled of old smoke even though the hotel is non-smoking. - Halls and dining area were musty and gross. - Staff was polite, friendly and patient

Great and clean

The property needs updated. Carpets in the hallway was dirty, Once you enter the lobby it smells musty. AC did not work well. Roi the staff when checked in was very friendly.

This hotel was extremely moldy and mildewy. Both my boyfriend and I have serious mold sensitivities and we left sick after just two nights of staying here. It was clear that the hotel staff knew about the issue because there was a dehumidifier in the lobby, but this far from did the truck. The smell in our room was damp and murky. The shower leaked out all over the floor no matter what we did - which explains the mold. The hotel cleaning staff was stingy with the towels which we desperately needed to sop up the water seeping into our room from the bathroom shower. To top it all off, the parking here is awful - much too crowded. I will never be staying here again.

Everyone there was very nice and helpful. There was a problem with our original reservation and Mary helped us. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good. We stayed two nights. We are on an extended trip and this was one of the nicer places we stayed.

The staff was very friendly. The only negative aspect was that I felt like the elevator and our room smelled very strongly of urine.

This hotel is located in a convenient location. It's clean and quiet. It made me feel relaxed during 2 nights staying. I especially like the quietness of its air-conditioning. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Clean and quiet. No major problems other than the tvs in the room have outdated remotes that make using the in room television frustrating and complicated. Please update your system.

The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on. It was lumpy with spring’s hurting my hips. It was sore for two days.

Hotel was clean and in good condition but the bed was horribly uncomfortable and there were people hollering half the night in the hallway. They also charge a $100 deposit for incidentals that we have not gotten back as of a week later.

I was greeted in the lobby by the desk clerk, Mary Landry, with a stern admonition for parking my UHaul in the wrong place. She didn't smile, didn't say welcome. She was rude and unfriendly. Mary should not be the face of Best Western.

Close enough to New Orleans for an easy drive into the city but far enough away to feel safe traveling with young kids. Lots of food options on exit. Hotel breakfast was well stocked, area clean and tasty. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful.

Traveling from out of town, we arrived around 1300 (1:00), and was told that we couldn't check in until 1500 (3:00). I asked if we could have an early check in. I was told that we would have to pay for an extra day if we wanted to check in early. I have traveled all over the world and have NEVER heard of such a thing. I found it hard to believe that the hotel was even close to full, as the parking lot was pretty empty. They were vacuuming on our floor until way after check in, so I was curious what they were doing between 1100-1500 (we were told that there wasn't a late check-out available. We woke up to the sound of vacuuming at 0830 the next morning. Wasn't a pleasant stay. Also, even though breakfast was included in our rate, there was no place to sit, as the small room was completely full. I won't be staying at BW again.

And i had to go back down at 2am and wait for someone to get 2 pillows for my kids sofa bed. The same thing then with the towels. They only gave us 2 towels. Then we woke up and went down to breakfast at 8:40 am. We were extremely famished from the night before from delayed flights and lost luggage. We even still had on our clothes from the night before, which wasnt ideal. But what do you do. So apparenlty at 8:40 am when we went to get breakfast, we couldn't because it ended at 8:30 am!!! I have never been to a place that ended breakfast so ealry! There were a few items still in the breakfast line, so i went into het them and was immediately shewed out by the lady cleaning up. Anyways, we ended up going to McDonald's, close by instead. The one nice thing was they let us have a later check out, since we were waiting for the airport to call us if they found our luggage. Anyways, it was just a few of the details that werw missing that bothered us. And if we were so exhausted or famished, it probably wouldn't have been a big deal. But it was for usnthis stay.

The property was fine. Clean, easy to find. When I went in to register, the desk clerk was not friendly. The police came in while I was there. Apparently, a homeless person had come in and gotten a cup of coffee. She had called the police.

Convenient and walkable to local area. Easy access to I 10.

Hotel was clean. Breakfast was good. Room was clean. Everyone was very friendly and the location was great!

No complaints. It’s a typical Best Western. It’s easily accessible to New Orleans (less than 30 minutes) but away from the hubbub. Several chain food options nearby for kids who aren’t into the authentic Louisiana food. 15 minutes drive to a swamp tour. We saved a ton of money by staying here instead of in New Orleans. We drove to New Orleans for the day and paid around $15 to park in a lot near the streetcar line. This cost much less than staying in the city.

The hotel was convenient to access off of the freeway and was clean.

Loved the property. Front desk staff were great! Very clean, beds were comfortable and nice selection for breakfast, both hot and cold. Within walking distance or short driving distance to many food options. 10/10 we’d stay there again.

Our bathroom door was locked, but desk clerk was very kind & efficient and opened it. Nice comfy room. Great breakfast. We had cereals, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, peaches, bananas, oranges, waffles, fried eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy and breads.
