No bugs or issues. No frills. Probably would have been just as comfortable across the street at the Red Roof for half the price. Nice pool and breakfast. Close to shopping. I guess I was just expecting more for the price.

The room was big enough, although we did not realize the rooms opened to the outside & would have never booked had we known. The outside is very run down. Parking is limited. The bathroom is comical. I have never seen anything so small. My son is 6’3” & has head touched the ceiling & shower head sprayed his chest. You have to close the door before sitting on the toilet. It is tiny. All I could do was laugh. It was only for 1 night for a baseball game. Any longer & I would have cancelled & left.

There was no toilet tissue in the room! Room has not been deep cleaned in a very long time. There was construction at the property; nails in the parking spaces, broken tiles & wood with nails laying around. Construction is okay, but the exterior trash is horrible. Telephone didn’t work & you could not call front desk. Property has potential but the things we experienced are not acceptable, especially with the room price!

Hotel was under some type of construction, hard to get to, no elevators…we were just passing thru and doubt if we will ever stop in WM ever again. Very limited amenities.

Construction!! Stepping over boards with nails pointing up. Changed rooms away from construction on lower level. The clerk at check in was very kind and helpful. He changed our room, gave us linen for the sofa bed, extra linen, even fixed the TVs in the room that didn’t work. Connected the phone in the room, and replaced two light bulbs in the lamp in the room. He went out of his way to make us comfortable.

Upon arrival the room was not clean the bed had hair and the mattress pad had stains. The bath had hair in the tub and floor. The front desk agent was very helpful he gave me clean linen to change the bed. Connie the housekeeping supervisor said the sheets were old not dirty, I have pictures to prove it was dirty. Well I have stayed at this property for years it’s the only place we stay when visiting Monroe.

The water was brown coming out of the shower, sink and toilet. The AC was cool but made a horrible noise every time it went off. Tiny little half pillows to sleep on. Previous comments over the last few months have all mentioned the same issues. The main lobby check in was already closed with a sign to go around to a side door which had a local drunk hanging out there.

I found a bed bug in my bed. I took pictures and even a video. When I reported it to the front desk she told me she’d have to contact the manager and pest control before she could give me anything. I let her know I wasn’t asking for anything I was just reporting the bugs. No idea if they ever did anything about it. I was not contacted by management for the pictures or more information. Very disappointing.

The water in the toilet looked yellowish so I thought housekeeping didn't flush it. I flushed it and the water still looked yellowish. When i went to take a bath, the tub was filled with the same nasty water as the toilet. It will not allow me to add the photos.

We were in room 120 with 2 queen beds. The reason for the 3 star rating were both beds very hard and uncomfortable. Neither wife nor I slept well. We started in one bed. Wife moved to the other bed and made a pallet on the bed out of blankets we had with us to sleep on. AC was noisy but definitely cool! Bring earplugs. Water was hot in tub. Tub was deep and allowed soaking. Nice!

We had a king suite. The pullout bed had a very thin mattress. Called front desk for sheets and blanket and he had a bit of attitude and asked me to come get it myself. The AC was not keeping up. The ceiling fan did not work. We were so hot. The water was a light brown colour. Pool guy did a good job keeping the pool clean. The lady did a good job with breakfast.

Old, tired rooms. The beds were very uncomfortable, hard lumpy mattresses with very tiny almost worthless pillows. The bathroom was so tiny that you practically needed to step into the shower just to close the door. Not someplace I would recommend

Horrible experience. Communications between Hotels.com and the hotel were not in sync and could not get anything correct…the hotel staff was unwilling to do anything proactive to help alleviate the situation. Do not stay at this hotel and unfortunately…while I formerly was a big fan of hotels.com it’s obvious they have sold out to the overseas customer support which is very poor now. I think I will not be using their service in the future. Inability to service or correct your problems is a pretty big one.

The desk clerk called me at 10pm wanting to give my room away. I told him I was coming. We where 30 minutes away. He ten called again wanting to run my card before I got there. My card was stolen since I booked. He said if I didn't give a new card he would give my room away. I THOUGHT ONCE YOU MADE THE APPOINTMENT With A CONFIRMATION THE ROOM WAS YOURS. So we had a clogged toilet and I asked for a plunger for the night shift and never got it so I can plunge it out before we checked out the next day and they came back and made the excuse that there was a strong smell of odor coming from our room which I know is a lie and we don't smoke or anything like that so I lost my $150 deposit on top of my key cash that drained whenever the deposit was supposed to come out of the key cash but no it didn't and I'm Highly confused about the whole situation. And I seen it's under New Management so I'm not sure if they're the same people that own Wingate and it's aggravating on how they say that when I know it's not true and they're just upset that we use key cash and not that but they sure did hold my $150 deposit. I will never again stay there and I would like to give my money back so I'm making a dispute about this.

The entrance and parking was a bit difficult to figure out. Since we were two ladies traveling alone, the clerk could be more safety minded not speaking our room number etc. aloud. Also didn’t realize it was a motel type set up with doors opening to outside.

We checked in later in the evening (9ish),check in was simple and quick. We went straight to our rooms,started getting prepped for bed,and realized that there were no linens for the fold out bed. We searched the room and found no “extra” linens at all. I rented one of the rooms with the fold out sofa especially for my grandson. We just went ahead and shared the bed with him. It was near 11 pm by the time we were actually getting into bed. Other than that the stay was GREAT. I would like to mention(wish I would have gotten her name)the young lady working the breakfast was EXCEPTIONAL !!!! On the spot to help the guests with every need !!!! A man came in with 4 children,she jumped right in to assist the children and offer him aid !!! LOVED THAT !!!!

Our stay here was really nice the only two things that need addressing is the water it was brown out the faucets seems to be a thing here in Monroe. And the mattress was a little hard but I still got a good night sleep. Other than that the staff was wonderful the breakfast was great and lots to choose from and the rooms were really clean with all the amenities
