Holiday Inn Express Baltimore West - Catonsville by IHG

Three trucks were parked in the lot, taking up about 15 spaces. Parking was extremely difficult. The shower has damage. Garbage from the previous guest was still in the bin.

Easy parking

Besides some riff-raff on the stare well smoking weed, i have a overall nice time. Room was great, everyone was so nice and helpfull. Enjoyed the gym. Didnt get a chance to grab any breakfast but the spread looked great. Would definitely come back.

It’s directly off the highway and in a shooing area. Interestingly there is a Checkers fast food place in the parking lot… we were disappointed that the outdoor pool was not open on a hot Saturday night at 7pm.

My only purpose was to really go swimming, but the pool was dirty. The hotel was beautiful, and staff was really nice.

The room was clean. The shower curtain needs to be cleaned better- smells mildewy. The hotel gym is very disappointing.

The ease and amount of parking around the building, connivence of all the shopping, drug store, car wash, gas stations within a 5 mile radius.

Always very happy with our stay here. Comfortable rooms, nice service, free breakfast, convenient parking. Will continue to stay here when in the area visiting family

It was very quiet and easy to find. Parking was wonderful. Staff were nice and the lobby was beautiful. Breakfast was delicious.

The parking is not very good

The cleanliness of my room was a little messy. I had to ask for new sheets because the sheets I received had a blood stain on them. There was a hair on the bathroom towel. Thank God I had brought my own towel from home.

My hotel room was not clean. There was opened can of alcohol that smelled when you opened the refrigerator. There was mold and dirt in the bathroom shower and peeling wallpaper. There was also crumbs around bed and stained carpet

Clean and beautiful room - very good breakfast option.

Three big roaches I had to kill in my room. Juices in the morning were extremely watered down.

Shower leaking and moldy

It was a nice size room but the shower head was coming off the wall and there were stains on the carpet. The sofa had stains on it.

Always clean, and friendly. Breakfast is always fresh. We have been going here periodically for a few years, and the staff is great.

Old carpet smelled like really dirty socks masked with carpet deodorizer which made it worse.. it was so hard to breathe. I couldnt walk barefoot, carpet and floors felt gross. Old bathrooms, not thoroughly clean. The shower heads are so outdated, it's not that expensive to replace. Smelled like mold and bacteria in the shower. I felt dirty after the shower. The staff at the front desk didn't speak to use when we entered or left, odd. Maybe it's the culture? We stayed at another holiday inn express in whitby ontario and it was similar having no quality. Not staying at Holiday Inns anymore! Yuck!

Convenient location. Lots of food and shopping nearby. The hotel is newly remodeled and very tastefully decorated. Rooms were spacious with lots of amenities. Bed was comfortable and bath was modern and clean. Highly recommend you stay at this location.

The customer service was very good. Nice and clean lobby. When checking in I asked for a room close to the pool if possible and they gave a room within a few feet of the pool door. The room was quiet, No noise from other rooms or the pool. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The bathroom was clean as well. My only concern was the broken shelf on the bathroom vanity. I only mentioned it to them to make sure I get my security deposit back and they offered me a whole new room which was not necessary. The WiFi stayed strong as I worked as well. The breakfast buffet was satisfying. I will definitely stay here again.

Breakfast was good. Room was clean and comfortable. Pillows were a little flat. Shower spray was light and took time to get hot/ cold. Overall gret experience. Would stay here again.

Nice stay- we booked last minute and did not get there until after 11pm but it was nice, bed comfortable, safe and good breakfast.

Good hotel but your internet is terrible for 3 days I could not get connected.

Property was in a convenient location however hotel could use some updating. Pillows were mushy.

This isn't the best and it isn't the worst I have stayed in, so it is about the middle of the road. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was Ok, but the shower had no pressure and you couldn't get the temperature regulated, which was frustrating. The air conditioning worked but not consistently. I had to switch rooms which was handled easily with the staff for the same air conditioning issue. I want things to work when you pay a pretty penny for these places, that is all I ask. Again, average hotel.

Great staff, wonderful location and price for what we needed. Decent breakfast. The big negative was the mattress, which was hard and bouncy. We did not sleep well at all.

Cons: You have to turn the A/C unit all the way down to 61 for the room to stay cool. Pros: The breakfast was great! Should’ve had bacon or turkey bacon, waffle maker, and grits on the bar. Other than that, it was a good stay for my daughters and I. The location is close to a lot things, so that was a plus.

Stayed here for a night to attend the Katy Perry concert. Check-in was easy hotel staff is very nice. Room was clean,The hotel is in a great location many stores are right across the street or in walking distance. Walgreens..Walmart..dollar tree etc..there is a parking lot to park in. There is also a checkers right next door that stays open until 3am. Would definitely stay again

We’ve stayed here before with no issue. Hotel was not the newest, but was comfortable for being a place to sleep. However, this trip, we had someone try to get into our room around 10:15pm. Person had a key card. The only thing that stopped them was the extra security stopper. Person was aggressive and stated “this room is supposed to be unoccupied” and demanded we go to the front desk. Obviously, we were not leaving the room. We pushed the door closed and said we’d go downstairs shortly, which prompted the person to leave. We called the front desk and informed the person who answered. He said he would “talk to the guy”, which implies this was an employee. He confirmed we were ok to be in that room. The next morning, we complained to the front desk who only apologized and said they’d “look into it”. We will never again stay here. If not for that safety bar, who knows what could have happened? We don’t know why an employee would be trying to come in a room so late at night. My husband and young son were asleep. I was awake enough to hear the noise at the door.

Hotel looks newer outside of the rooms. But you can definitely see where costs were cut…. In the rooms. Loose shower heads, sinks and bath tubs that don’t drain. Older TVs that don’t tune Channels. Old mattresses, lumpy lumpy lumpy. Staff were nice. Asking for a receipt took 2 days to get. Was told it would be emailed, didn’t happen. Called the hotel back and ask again, still nothing. Had to return to the hotel to get a copy. So make sure you leave with your receipt or you may never get one. In the end it’s an old Hotel that was flip by a cut rate contractor. I hope anyone who chooses to stay has a better experience. God speed!

Easy check-in, friendly staff and good continental breakfast.

We have stayed here multiple times over the last 3 years. Consistently the staff has been professional. The lobby and rooms are always very clean. Breakfast is fantastic. It's very obvious that they are very proud of their establishment. We will continue to use them.

Great staff friendly and helpful needed some papers printed for work twice and the young lady was amazing definitely great place to stay very clean and well kept 5 stars and very convenient for dining opinions

At check-in 9:30 PM., we went into the room # 608, and as soon as you open the door all you could smell was smoke. So, I went back down to the night desk clerk to notify them about the problem, but there were no rooms available for us to be moved. I then asked the desk clerk to annotate that our room smelled like smoke, adding additional stress (wife has bad allergies) to me and my family as we were there to attend funeral services for my mom. In an attempt to get rid of the smell, we sprayed the room with Lysol and Febreeze. Before leaving the next morning, we spoke with the day shift clerk (John) and asked for a follow up from last night. He then notified us there were no notes for our room. I then told John the same thing from about our room smelling like smoke and he ensured us it would be taken care of. Pro: A. First floor very clean B. Breakfast area good C. Day shift clerk outstanding (JOHN) CONS: A. Night shift clerk very piss poor. B. There is a possibility that housekeeping did not report the deficiency for our room. C. Several lights not working in room, housekeeping not checking the room thoroughly. D. Water wouldn’t stop dripping in the shower (day shift John) did get it taken care of.

The front desk employee didn’t check me in bcos he told me I was black listed. I asked him why and all he said was he doesn’t know. I asked to speak to a manager but he told me no one is available to talk to me. I reminded him that I already paid for the room and I need to be credited and he said that I should call the party I made my reservation with. Finally, I left the property and went back online to make a new reservation

The heat was worked well. comfortable temperature. The front desk staff at check in and departure could have tried to be more friendly. when I walked in after midnight, the staff was sitting on a bench by the door and got up when I approached front desk. The clerk on departure stood around looking at computer and never gestured or said hello. the food was good and temperature was just right. I stayed ibn the 6th floor was was appropriate for me.

Easy access to Baltimore and surrounding areas.

It is a Nice place with decent breakfast; very nice to have lot of shopping places, pharmacies around the hotel and so many places to eat which are open late; over all very nice location

Great location with quick access to the interstate. Lots of dining options besides the standard big box restaurants. Clean and well-kept. Friendly staff.

The property was clean, and efficiently run. Everyone was polite and timely. There is plenty of eating and shopping nearby. It is close to the highway, so it was easy coming and going. I would definitely stay again.

About 18 minutes from inner harbor. Visited the area to see a concert at the Chesapeake Insurance Arena which was less than 15 minutes away.

First of all don’t reserve through Expedia. They just overcharge you and their customer service doesn’t care. The property wasn’t clean and in the day before the check out they didn’t bother with cleaning the room. They had same breakfast everyday and apparently just warm it up from the previous day

Delightfully surprised by this hotel. Bright and clean with good breakfast options. Great pillows and comfortable bed. We’ll stay there again for sure. Only issue was no USB connections in room.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The property definitely needs some renovation. The lobby is beautiful but the rooms are dated and the bathrooms needs some repairs. The breakfast is the same everyday so they need to change the menu.

Very nice and clean - they even had some interesting art by the elevator! The sausage and biscuits were soooo good!

Stay was enjoyable even thought we only booked 1 night. Only area that can receive a little improvement it the breakfast (burnt sausages, dry omelets, potatoes seems stale - coffee and pancakes were good).
