This was a beautiful building. The staff was amazing (including the restaurant). Parking fees are a little steep but convenient garage. It was very easy to walk around Johns Hopkins University from here.

Overall great place to stay in Baltimore. Right down the road from places to eat. Some things to improve, hotel bar closes at 10 pm. Breakfast wasn't the greatest, food was good but service was actually super slow and disorganized. Very nice area though and would def stay there again.

I would have given 5 stars if the parking wasn’t $48 per night and the mobile key worked smoothly for the parking garage and room, but it didn’t. A great location and no brainer for JHU. I will be back.

The property itself is fine - it's clean enough. But the parking garage fee is outrageous. You pay a premium for. a just ok room - it hasn't been renovated in awhile and isn't anything spectacular - and then they try to charge $50 for parking. That's just nuts. Parking should be free for guests. Nothing says you hate your guests more than insanely high parking fees.

The showers are a tight fit, even if your are fit. They were having some elevator issues when we left. Parking is expensive and a narrow fit in the underground garage. We ended up with a scrape on the side view mirror.

Stay it self was ok. Nothing exceptional. However the hotel charges an exorbitant amount to park for one night. Highway robbery and no where in the booking process did I see this mentioned. Avoid.

It was clean and comfortable, but it’s alarming that there were no grab bars and tub mat in the shower. The shower floor was slippery and a real hazard to even those of us who don’t have a problem with balance. When I mentioned it to the Desk Clerk, while checking out, he replied that whenever someone mentions it to him, he passed it along but nothing changes.

The ceiling was stained and had cobwebs. There was one piece of floor tile that set up higher than the others that I continually stumbled over. The hair dryer was absolutely covered in hairspray and hair product scum. The refrigerator gurgled loudly when it ran and every time its compressor cut off the television would turn off and back on. Apparently the coffee Maker had not been cleaned in a very long time because the coffee tasted like swamp water. Very very disappointed

The location is fine. The lobby is fine but the rooms and hallways need major upgrade. On arrival I discovered the bedroom floor carpet was soaked/wet on the side adjoining the bathroom. I immediately reported this to the front desk. The staff was apologetic. However I was told they were sold out and could not be moved. Later I discovered the shower leaks onto the bathroom floor and had to request towels to dry the floor in order to avoid flooding and slipping on the floor.

While I under the pricing is higher due to the location, I expected more for the cost. The toilet had a large crack running down the front of it and the toilet seat was pitted and uncomfortable, it clearly has seen some things we shouldn’t speak of. A few of the outlets didn’t work and the AC was awful. The building itself was nice and modern, and the restaurant was decent too. The staff was very courteous as well.

Horrible service. Room horrible. Heat off - I froze. Changed room, still horrible. Dirty. Stained bed linens. No hand soap. Night time staff rude and indifferent. Plus!!!! Parking overnight was $50 and it was self park and disgusting. WORST HOTEL I EVER STAYED AT!

Front desk staff were wonderful and allowed me to check-in early without an additional fee (I was only an hour early for when you can technically check in early). I also always appreciate the fresh cookie! The room was OK. I was a little disappointed with the lack of desk since I was traveling for work and needed to get some things done before and after meetings. It may have also just been what was available since I asked for an early check in. The hotel restaurant left alot to be desired. I never saw anyone dining there and each time I went down it just seemed like it was closed. I ended up DoorDashing dinner. Overall it was an OK stay for the one night I was in town.

This property is long overdue for an update. The bathroom is small, the tile is chipping and even the pillow cases had some dirt stains. The pillows themselves were so flat. The room was quiet and safe, so that was appreciated. Location is convenient to Johns Hopkins. But it very much needs upgrading. Feels like it hasn't been touched in almost 20 years.

Very misleading in leading the person to think the whole building is a hotel when in fact it’s only 2nd and 3rd floors. Room was very drab and outdated with a musty smell. Bathroom was tiny (2 feet wide) and pipes are excruciatingly loud. Not only in our room but can hear it all night in neighboring rooms. Have been to many hiltons and other hotels and this is one of the worst.

A “7” at best. The hotel entrance and lobby are very nice. The room is comparable to many, less expensive rooms I’ve stayed in previously in Baltimore hotels. When entering the room, a there’s a strange, musky smell. The air conditioning is very loud and goes on and off all night (probably tied to the thermostat). It woke me up several times, and I’m not a light sleeper. It’s so loud that I had to change the volume of the TV every time it “went off”. Towels were super “crunchy” and hard. Room was OK. TV Remote doesn’t have Netflix option; only standard DirectTV. Parking for patrons is an additional $30 , even though parking is on prem. I understand hotels in the inner harbor charging extra, but often they lease parking from nearby facilities. This seems an unnecessary extra free. Not that impressed.

I have no problem with the property being pet friendly but it should be reiterated to all pet owners that pets should not be left unattended. There was a dog next door who barked all day...it was awful!

Convenient for JHU students and families. If you have a student checking in, that is not 21, be sure to contact the hotel and get the name and title of the person that says that is o.k. for a 19 or 20 y.o. to check-in. We confirmed prior to booking, but our 19 y.o., at 1:00 a.m., was refused at check-in. Eventually, it was remedied, but not without a lot of effort.

I am so impressed with Frei (who was at the front desk when I checked in). I accidentally booked the wrong type of room (I am traveling with my teenage son and got a room with only one bed). Frei worked some magic and was able to upgrade us to a king bed with a pull out couch despite being in a tricky sold out situation. I am very very grateful and would say that she demonstrated a level of customer service that was extraordinary! Thank you - I would stay here again and again.

This was our second time staying at this hotel and I wish my review from the first time was available because these are two extremely different encounters. This particular visit we were greeted by two African American women who were very professional. Upon entering our king room it was noticeable tidy but not necessarily clean. After some minor wipe downs and organizing I went to take a shower and noticed there was one set of towels 😂😂😂 we called the front desk and n older gentleman came to our room and he was clearly interrupted from watching Sanford and Son but that neither here or there he was utterly annoyed that he had to bring us some towels. Finally we lay down for bed and we pulled the covers and sheet back to find a rusty colored stain on the sheets. Out of tiredness we slept on top of the covers….. I think we just got a bad room but our first visit was top notch

Paki at the front desk was AMAZING !!! He explained the whole process to me About billing and parking .. he spoke with respect and confidence.. very knowledgeable. I was happy to have stayed.. Maria gave me ice in dining area for my room.. machine on floor was not working.. also very professional and knowledgeable about dining and so respectful

This hotel is in a safe and clean part of Baltimore. The hotel dining options taste good and are a good price. I also like that this hotel is close to Hampden and Charles Village neighborhoods which have a lot of shopping and dining options. It's also within walking distance to the Baltimore Museum of Art (BMA) which has free admission. One huge plus is the paid parking garage. I've never had trouble getting in/out and finding a spot and the garage itself feels maintained and safe. I often stay here for business trips. The hotel wifi is reliable and the rooms are comfortable. I've also done work in the hotel lobby (with headphones to not disturb anyone around me) and was completely fine/undisturbed. I like that this hotel is across the street from the JHU Homewood campus and a short walk from JHU shuttle stops that can take me to other JHU Campuses. I often recommend this hotel to colleagues/guests who are visiting for JHU-related business. This is a great option for people on business trips and tourists/families visiting the area.

Hotel that seems school related in proximity. Restaurant /bar is a bit bare bones , temporary. Room didn’t have much towel racks. Bed was comfortable. Parking price was higher than listed on web.

We were in and out for a quick trip. Bar/resteraunt was so convenient after a long trip. The food was really good. We observed locals not staying at the hotel to dine. Rooms were clean. TV service was spotty but we were just trying to get days news update so it wasn’t a problem. Internet worked so we looked there. staff was super informative and cheerful.

Convenient to Johns Hopkins. Clean. Friendly front desk and restaurant staff. Had breakfast at 7:00 a.m. and it was pretty good with an omelet station. Only critique is not knowing how to turn on the shower head...my husband had to google it!

Overall, a very acceptable hotel, room wise...however, the $48 charge per day for parking was over the top...fortunately, there was free street parking from 6pm to 9am, directly across the from the hotel. Also, no dining area other than the lobby...prefixed charge for dinner was $45...looked like a cafeteria...did not choose to eat there.

Chose this hotel because it was within walking distance to a place we were visiting. Check in was quick, hotel seemed clean and quiet. Only negative was that it said there was a micro wave in the room and there didn't seem to be one. We didn't need it but I'll check next time just in case. There was a small refrigerator. We only stayed one night. The breakfast in the small restaurant in the lobby was good but not free like in some hotels.

It was centrally located for what we wanted to see, but it is pretty hard to justify the cost for a long stay (8 nights). To be fair, the hotel was nice, but I’m not sure the price aligned with the amenities (no hot water one morning, broken espresso machine in the lobby, $36 PER NIGHT for parking). For what I got, I could have stayed farther away for a lot cheaper.

The Chef decided to cancel room service on the weekends because he was too busy managing busy weekend due to college graduations. No excuses! No steak and eggs for me. Crab omelet was sad. No butter on dry english muffin. I thought I was in a 1 star hotel. Kind lady finally brought me a tray of food. No condiments. Sad.
