I never heard of having to pay a 3rd party to park in the parking lot of the hotel. It was not an easy process. I really liked the hotel but most likely won't stay again because of the parking policy. Just include the parking in the hotel stay and give a parking permit to display on the dashboard it's that simple.

Elevator was dirty and falling apart. Toilet was not shaky. Bathroom light flickered. And they charge $10 a day to park. Will never return. If i knew they charged for parking i would've found somewhere else to stay

The AC in the wall was filthy, had mold on it and pieces of dirt/mold stuck to the vents. The walls in the bathroom had dirty spots in several places (around the toilet area). The lamp on the side table by the bed was half broken and full of spots/dirty. The panels on the walls inside the elevator were hanging skew and this the hand rails were not safe to hold on to. The shower head was great.

We booked this hotel for a one night stay based on their 24 hour airport shuttle and close location to the airport. However, reaching the hotel to call for the shuttle driver was next to impossible! We were left on hold for an incredibly long time then disconnected. Took way too long calling on two phones (over 20 minutes) to just try to get thru on the phone to request pick up! Front desk complained that they need a dedicated shuttle line and another person. We wasted precious sleep time as we only had less than 6 hours in the hotel!

We arrived at the airport in negative degree weather and we waited for over 40 minutes for a shuttle to come. They never showed up so we paid $40 for a cab to get to the hotel. The other hotel services came through multiple times and LaQuinta never showed up. They should not say shuttle service if there is not a continued service coming more then once an hour.

Lobby area is hot and smelled like weed, it was so hot the front desk had their own fans on trying to stay cool. Requested a luggage cart to load items into room. Was told none were available. Found one at back entry door with trash loaded on it and another was at the dumpster, so we had to make several trips to the car to get our luggage in. Room was dusty, bathroom had a musty smell no ventilation. The stand that held the refrigerator was rotting, falling apart. Saw a couple of spiders in the corner. We did ask the front desk for assistance to no avail. Trip to walmart bought 2 fans to help cool the room and spider spray to hopefully ward off any spider bites, and a few cleaning supplie for bathroom. The outside of the building had trash around it and suspicious activity and concerning people hanging around the doorways. Smoke was so heavy as you enter the hotel it activated my childs asthma. Alot of airport personnel stay at this hotel, so you would think the management would take better care. Would we ever stay here again, probably not as our health and welfare are more important than saving a few dollars.

Yes, walls in the bathroom were dirty and smear with gunk. The shower floor poorly cleaned. Furniture in need of maintenance. Shower door did not closed properly. No drinkable water available in the room. The entrance of the building very difficult to manage the rolling luggage.

No major issues. Staff was professional and courteous. Room was clean. Check-in was painless. 2 issues: 1. Why was the room temperature set at 60 degrees upon first entering? It's not exactly summer. Just not a good first impression. 2. The shower pressure was below average and the shower head wasn't ideal. Just saying.

The staff was very friendly. Our room was comfortable but the water pressure is the shower was slightly above a trickle. We only needed to stay one night so not worth making a fuss over. Other than that, it was good for a quick stay.

For a property adjacent to an airport, it was amazing how quiet it was; outside and in. The bed was very comfortable with xtra pillows. Some things were a little worn, but for clean, comfortable and a reasonable price, I overlook that.

The room was actually a spacious suite with 2 bathrooms, minifridge, microwave and coffee maker. Beds are comfortable and the Adirondack had lots of options. Only complaints were that the blackout curtains did not close completely and i could get conversations in the parking lot and a nearby room. The shuttle was prompt.

Late arrival for a group of 6. Had ONE room for all of us with 2 separate living areas and 2 bathrooms within the room. We only stayed for about 4 Hours due to an early early flight but there was plenty of room. Front desk Staff were nice.

Often stay here for early DTW departures. You get a lot of bang for the buck with the suites having two restrooms. Love that it's right next to one of the park and rides. Rooms are a little rundown but clean and do the trick! Will stay again.

I had to call the hotel 5 times over a 15 minute period until someone finally picked up the phone so I could get shuttle service pick up from the airport. I was supposed to get VIP free parking from the hotel. When Expedia called the hotel on Saturday, the desk person said, "I don't know anything about this. You will have to talk with the manager on Monday." The manager finally talked with me on Monday after 3 requests and then explained it was a new policy so they didn't know what they were doing. She finally promised to have the parking charge reversed but didn't. Staff attitude for the whole time was, please don't bother us with your request.

The staff was friendly and helpful. I had a really early flight and they let me check in early instead of waiting all afternoon. The room and grounds were clean and quiet. The shuttle was very convenient. This was my first visit to Detroit and La Quinta made it a great experience. I'll be back!

This LaQuinta was the best hotel we have stayed at near Detroit Airport. Very clean, breakfast was good and most of all Christina at reception desk was amazingly very helpful and happy! We will be staying at this location again!

This was the fist time i was not satisfied with my stay. The first room was smelly, was able to switch rooms but the smoke detector started beeping at 3am. Then noticed a housekeeper vaping in a room she was cleaning. What took the cake was all the desk staff all took their breaks outside at the sametime those phones were ringing off the hook and the walkie talking from the bus was non stop why is this allowed. Its bad enough they dont have enough staff and the washer was broke. Totally disappointed

I booked this hotel because of the daily room service. However, the first day my room was not serviced, I complained to the receptionist who was indifferent and barely apologized, and promised it won't happen again. On the second day, the same thing happened again. a different receptionist looked concerned and actually cared, she kept apologizing and promised to bring this to the general manager's attention. She wrote a note with my information and she assured me the GM will contact me the first thing in the morning. The GM (her name is Robin) did not contact me at all. I went to ask for her and I was told that the MG was in the stores, and that she will contact me within 2 hours. 3 hours later, I went to the reciptionist to check if the manager is back. Instead of contacting me asap, the GM had no ideas of what happend, which means she did not get the note the reciptionst wrote, or the GM did not care. It looks like she did not care, she just assured me it won't happen for the 3rd time. Really??!!!! on my last day, they finally serviced my room, but hair was still in the soap bar which they did not even take time to change it, and we were short on towels. What a service! I complained to Expedia, when they called them, the receptionist said non of this happened!

Missed our connecting flight and had to get a hotel room at midnight to spend the night with my wife and two young children. Called the hotel to get their shuttle service and were picked up less than 10 minutes later. The lady working the desk at midnight was incredibly helpful and very accommodating. She got us into our room within 5 minutes. We checked out at 5:00 am and she had coffee and muffins for us. Overall, the service was incredible, the hotel was very clean and comfortable. 10/10 would recommend.

Breakfast service was horrible, ran out of eggs and sausage before multiple people could get any and when asked if they could make more the server said no. I feel if you have breakfast until 9 am that at 8:15 there should be breakfast, for that matter all the way up until 9 should there be breakfast.

The hotel staff were all out smoking when we arrived. Nice enough upon check in but the lobby and all of the common areas were really hot. The place needs a refresh. Also no one m9nitored the breakfast area and we came 30 minutes before ending and most items were already out. Probably not staying again.

We arrived late and tired from a long day. The woman staffing the front desk was welcoming and efficiently checked us in quickly and let us know the times for breakfast which I laughed and said we had a super early flight and would have to miss it. She let us know that coffee and muffins would be out from 2:00 am on which was 100% true when we left in the morning. Our rooms were spotless and comfortable and check out was as seamless as check in. Thanks for a great stay! You have a wonderful team working there.

Had to change rooms twice due to a plugged toilet in the first room and a non-working heater in second room. The "hot breakfast" was cold and the coffee was horrible. The staff was reasonably accommodating, but our stay was nonetheless very bad. We won't be staying at this hotel again.

I loved the cheese omelets for breakfast, and they even had a close parking space for veterans, which I used on two of our four days. It was convenient for visiting Ann Arbor and lower priced than most, so it was a GREAT value!

Staff were absolutely lovely and helpful! However we needed extended parking as we were flying out. Expedia’s website states $10/ day for extended parking. When we arrived this was NOT an option and were forced to pay for the lot across the street which was only available as an 8 day pass. Hotel rooms were decent but it was musty and super humid/damp inside the hotel with a slight odor. Heads up yogurt was warm in the morning for the complimentary breakfast.
