We chose this facility because the website stated there was on site dining. When we checked in they informed us their restaurant has been closed for over 2 years. I understand that this is a small town and may not be able to sustain a restaurant but then it should not be listed as an amenity. Very disappointing considering that was one of the main draws to this hot. Also, we did not have access to the pool/hot tub without leaving our ID at the front desk and having them let us in because they only had a limited number of keys. This was very disappointing as well and not very convenient. We did enjoy the hot tub.

Not updated. The hot tub was out of order. One of the reasons we booked the hotel was for the hot tub. The staff was nice. I think the pictures are deceptive on the quality and state of the place

When you looked online they showed a restaurant on site, but it closed down. I stayed at many Country Inn & Suites and this was the worse one I ever stayed in. Don't reccomend it to anyone and will not ever stay at this one again.

Would not recommend a poolside room - no privacy, only sheer drapes. Hot tub has not been working for months. No housekeeping services. Much lower standard generally than on previous stays.

I checked into a room with unchanged sheets. I changed the sheets on my bed with linen given me by my the desk clerk. The second shift desk staff was sleeping or watching movies in the room behind the front desk. Several times I needed help and I needed to loudly request service to be heard. The staff did not purchase laundry soap, so I could not do laundry.

I picked the property because of ratings I saw, but they were not accurate. I picked it because there is a hot tub, but it was not functioning which was very disappointing to my family. The property was not clean. I’m not sure the beds had fresh sheets, the room smelled like chlorine I would not recommend staying there. I definitely paid way too much for a room that was inferior.

The pool is the key feature if the hotel. It was clean and well kept. Excellent pool and hot tub. The rest of the hotel didn't feel clean. The carpets were dirty throughout the hotel. There were random stains on the floors and walls. Our first room we were checked into, clearly had used sheets. There were stains and black hairs beneath the covers. We were moved to another room, which was clean, but we lost out on the balcony room we paid more for because of this. It definitely made me question if the rooms were properly cleaned and was hard to feel comfortable sleeping there after the experience with the dirty bedding in the first room. There seemed to be minimal staff, which may be the problem. It's a small town, and staffing issues seemed common throughout the town. Also, the website advertises a restaurant and bar on site. There is not one on site anymore. It also mentioned a gaming room, which there is not. A gaming room with pool tables or something like that would have been a great feature. Staff were very accommodating and nice. It's too bad there are not more staff to keep up on the cleaning. It would make a world of difference. The hotel is very nice and the lack of cleanliness completely takes away from this.

Our room should have been cleaner as there was candy on the floor and hair in the shower. The carpet in hallways was dirty. We went to the ‘free’ breakfast and the eggs, sausage & biscuits were totally gone. No service at all to refill food. The juice machine was not working and the waffle mixture was too runny to use. Both of the ice machines in the hallway were not working. We’d never stay there again.

Bathroom floor was dirty. Soap dispensers in shower were empty and heater/fan was loud and kept us awake most of the night. I asked for a blanket the 2nd night and it smelled awful, didn’t use it. Not a good stay.

This is an old hotel that has a convention center attached. The hallway carpet is just plain awful--very old and so dirty. We were put as far away from the main desk as possible, and with a room that could overlook the swimming pool. The lights from the pool shined in our room all night and the air conditioning could not have been louder. Would not recommend!

Doors are a little "janky" they are old and stop working sometimes. We had to change rooms because the reader on our door stopped working. The hotel was noise as kids were running unattended in the halls. Staff was responsive and very accommodating.

It was hard to find a person working the front desk, they were always in the back and had to yell to find someone one. The heater / air conditioner was so loud . We had to turn it off to sleep or watch tv and made uncomfortably hot. The curtains in the bedroom of the suite did not cover very the entire window allowing light from the pool area all night long to be in our eyes. Very out dated. Internet was spotty and had to use my own hotspot to connect for work. We have had stayed here often in the past but seems like degrading and not being cared for. Couch in the suite area was very hard and uncomfortable to use.

Great stay as usual at this property. The room was clean and comfortable. Check in was quick, professional and friendly. Special thanks to Sierra for accommodating a last minute room type change when we learned a family member would be joining us and we'd need two queen sized beds instead of the king we booked.

Poor service and they say its due to lack of staffing. no cleaning service when we stayed 2 days they didn't even check to see if we needed towels. Beds are extremely firm and lack of blankets in the room for being a suite there was only blankets for the main bed. Whenever we went to the front desk it took at least 10 minutes for someone to be there. Would not reccomend staying here.

The rooms need to have do not disturb signs. We got in very late 3:00am and 2x had maid service banging on door. Also missing breakfast not lobby coffee was empty. Overall understaffed. Understand but still not like starting day without morning coffee

The hotel is below average in my opinion. We arrived and the room was ready. We were greeted with a nice text message indicating that we can chat with the hotel staff if we had questions or needed anything. Nice touch. When I needed something, I replied to the thread with a text and received an automated reply saying someone would contact me shortly. No one ever contacted me. I tried to call the front desk by dialing “0” on the room phone, but I got an error message saying that the “system administrator disabled this function”. The only way to get someone at the hotel was to physically walk to the lobby. The rooms were outdated. The hotel is run down. The comfort inn down the street appears to be in nicer shape. Hoping to stay there next time.

Everything was great until we left and realized our gas tank had been siphoned to empty. Van was parked right in front so parking lot security was lacking. Otherwise nice and very acceptable hotel.

Unfortunately, short staffed. The restaurant mentioned online was not open. The breakfast for Saturday was supposed to open at 7am didn't open until 7:45 or later. The beef we were served for a banquet on Friday was excellent. It was cooked to perfection: very tender, moist and you could cut it with your fork.

It is high season in Fergus Falls. And for the business traveler really not many business hotels for any price. This Country Inn looked a little dated from the outside but the room as clean and the breakfast good. Would I stay here again? Yes.

Please tear this place down the amount of mold here is absurd! The water smells like black dirt. Hot tub has been shut down for over a month. No where does anyone warn you except after you are there. Pool area is dingy and moldy. The place is very dated. Breakfast is blah. Save your money!! This place is awful. My child asked to leave. 3.5 hours and non refundable!
