Comfort Inn Poplar Bluff North

Property was clean and neat outside of the natural debris left behind from a storm. The staff was excellent and accommodating. I would stay here in the future. Pool is outdoor and not open yet when I stayed.

The washcloths and bedding were stained very very badly. Sink & tub drains severely clogged. Pile of dirt & debris from a vacuum dumped in corner of stairwell. We felt the place used to be fine in prior years but has gone downhill horribly for some reason. On our previous stay there was tons of long hair & gunk floating in the pool. Won't be going back. I will say they were very compassionate and let us check in early due to a death in the family in town that we thought we had a little more time to see them before the later check in but they died & we had nowhere else to go.

There's no indoor pool

The entire property was humid to the point of feeling damp. Our room was stuffy and sweaty. Even the armchair felt wet. I doubt the room had been used for days and the air conditioner was not on and moving cool air as it normally is when we entered the space. The room had a noticeable odor related to the humidity that persisted for the 15 hours we were there. The fitness center had working equipment but it was also being used as a storage area for a big rack of old window blinds, cast off casement, and other general items destined for the dumpster. The rack was parked adjacent to a wall mounted tv that had long since been disconnected. The breakfast was a disappointment. There was standard southern fare: sausage and gravy over biscuits. That would be a fine thing if it weren’t essentially the only alternative. There was no fruit. No toast or bagels were available. The small boxes of cereal were all targeted at children: Frosted Flakes, coco puffs, and the like. The woman at the desk, feet away from the breakfast area, noted that the selection was what it was and she wasn’t responsible for the lack of other non-sugar alternatives. All in all, this was the poorest property we’ve booked in several years over many extended road trips. Why did we stay? Because we had booked online through Expedia after having dutifully compared reviews and prices among competing properties in the area. We were traveling through and simply stuck it out.

Staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly. Pool was clean and very refreshing. Guests were very polite and pleasant. One thing about would like commend another guest on is their honesty. Unbeknownst to me, I had dropped a personal check made out to me for over $300. As I was relaxing at the pool, another guest who I had several hours earlier at the pool, came up to me and asked me if I had dropped something and handed me the check he had found in the hallway. I was so impressed his character and honesty. I am staying here due to damages to my home from a tornado, my Dad graciously paid for my stay since my insurance is not wanting to do so. This young gentleman proves there are men of character. I did not get him name, but he is the kind of person I pray I am raising my own son to be.

Some of the staff were polite but not really kind. the building itself was in general disrepair and just plain dirty especially the carpet. In our jfirst room the toilet seat with peeling finish looked disgusting, and there mold on the ceiling. Asked for a different room and was put in a new renovated room but the new room didn’t have towels. With a late night arrival we were tired and these issues were really annoying. The next morning a guest with 4 young children was using the work out room as a playground which was inconvenient and honestly just dangerous. the treadmill only had two options slow or really fast. The beds were comfortable and that is the point, to have sleep which we did. The room was very humid. Overall would not recommend and wish I had followed the reviews and booked elsewhere.

Hallways were a bit dirty, room was quiet and bed comfy. The exterior door do take out our pet had a broken lock so it was propped open all night by the rubber foot mat which had OJ spilled all over it in the morning when I went to take out our pet. Online pet fee states $25 but we were charged $30. Clerk said "I guess they should update that" but still charged us $30.

Great service, breakfast was good. Love the fresh lemon water in the common area. Our room was across from the elevators and yet it was very quiet.

The litter in the elevator from the night before was still there when we left. The heat-and-serve breakfast items had the taste and texture of processed food. Without improvements to cleanliness and amenities, we will not be recommending this hotel.

This is a very nice hotel that is being neglected. Our room was not properly cleaned, having crumbs of food from the last customer on the nightstand and on the floor that were being fed on by ants. The bathtub had a constant stream of water dripping, and I don't think the sheets had been changed. For the breakfast, they only had a fraction of what they advertised on the sign sitting on the front counter, and many of the items were nearly empty or were empty at 7:00 in the morning. I have stayed in many comfort inns and been very happy. This one has changed my mind.

Room was gross. Bathroom had hair in the sgower and dirty walls. I didnt even want to shower after seeing left over hair from the last guest. Bathroom sink was dirty. You could litterally see dirt and left over liquid caked on the sink. It looks as if the bathroom wasn't even cleaned between the last guest and our stay. Beds were horrible and pillows non existent. If i would have known that i would have spent my $135 elsewhere to stay thr night.

Very dirty hallways, rooms, bathrooms. Globs of substances dripping crusty on the side of the bed. Smells awful.

The hotel did not look like the pictures. It was very dirty and needed lots of attention. We had to be moved from the first room because it smelled like smoke. We were moved from the second to the third floor and our room had ants in it. They were on the floor and on the counters. There were Bobby pins stuck in the carpet as well and stains on the comforter. The stairwell had dead bugs and dirt all on the floors and needed to be cleaned as well. We were very eager to leave and will not be staying again. The only positive to the hotel was the young man who was working the counter. He was very accommodating and understanding.

The bedding on one of the beds was wet, taken out of the dryer too soon? The room was not clean.

Staff was friendly and very easy to work with…our first room the toilet would not flush and the bathtub drain still had trash and hair in the drain and definitely smelled of smoke. Switched room and the new room smelled nice ac worked really well but the bathtub was still dirty with left over bathroom stuff from the last person and the ceiling above the bathtub was starting to mold.

The room had a horrible smell, probably the carpet. The sheets were stained, not just the top layer but all of them. The curtains were also stained from food and nobody bothered to clean them. Worst of all, we saw a roach. It was late at night and we were exhausted from our long drive. Learned my lesson never staying here again or Comfort Suites at all. At checkout there was nobody at the front desk. Upon exiting I saw two ladies coming in from a smoke break. I assume they were the front desk personnel. I definitely do not recommend unless you don’t mind the stains and roaches.

We arrived and checked in to find 2 really filfthy rooms. The rooms had bad moldy odors. All 4 beds had filfthy comforters. One bed had a large dog footprint on the dirty sheet that had beenm made up. We left. Im hoping for a refund from Travelocity

Older mattress and a/c noisy and smelly

It was so hot in our room it took until 02:00 o’clock in the morning to get it cooled down enough to sleep pretty good. The bed was pretty hard. But other than to hat it was pretty good.

Woke up with no hot water to take a shower.

We had two rooms. Both air conditioners leaked, getting the carpet wet. One room was not Addie conditioned when we checked in...took a while to cool. Saw a little mildew on the wall in one bathroom. Hall carpet was stained.

Nice looking property but the rooms are not insulated well enough to reduce noise. Great breakfast!

The hotel was clean and it had a nice (hot) breakfast, but it was a noisy hotel. I could hear almost every word of the news broadcast coming from the television from the adjacent room to ours and I'm more than positive that they could hear us.

This walls. Was woken up by doors shutting around me a couple times. Breakfast was kinda meh. Overall not bad though

The room was clean upon arrival, but wasn't cleaned the duration of the 5 day stay despite multiple requests for housekeeping. I will not return.

Easy check in , friendly staff, great a/c rooms are cold for summer.

We've stayed here several times. Staff is always great. This time the bath wasn't clean, BUT staff quickly took care of the issue. Quiet & we feel safe here.

We arrived 30 mins early. We got to go to our room. What a blessing as we were tired. Very clean. Housekeeping and desk attendees were friendly and helpful. Would recommend this motel. Will stay again if in the area.

Staff in the evening was very nice and friendly. I did call about the leaky bathtub for their benefit...didn't bother us. But didn't want them incurring a high water bill. We woke up to ants in our room. On the bed, fridge and dresser. Missed breakfast by 12 minutes. Food was still out and staff was rude.

The staff was helpful in all that we requested. We would definitely stay here again.

Considering I paid the hire cost of the room for the convenience of the free continental breakfast, both mornings the eggs, sausage, and biscuits were all cold and I was in the dining hall between 7:30-8:30 both mornings.

Good breakfast selection for the price and clean room.

Beds were comfortable, room was clean. Breakfast was to start at 6:00. We got downstairs about 6:15 and they had just started to put the breakfast out. 6:00 means 6:00. NOT 6:30. So we left without our promised breakfast as we were heading home.
