We liked the room it was very clean and quiet. The bar that is located next to the Hotel was also very nice but so loud that you heard the music in your room. I use to be the housekeeping supervisor at Holiday Inn in Poplar Bluff and so i k ow what it takes to clean the rooms after a stay and the housekeeping was above and beyond expectation!!! The only thing I would change is the website called our room 2 twin beds which it was really 2 Queen. I was worried we wouldn't have enough room for our son and his 2 small children,but it worked out with the beds being Queen.

Could have been a wonderful room, however. Floors were unswept and ceiling had mold and cobwebs. Otherwise the room was very comfortable and quiet. They have a really great bar next door to the property.

My room was huge and very clean. There was parking for my Jeep and the trailer I was pulling, which was also great. Dylan provided a great check in experience. The lounge next door is a must! The decor is incredible! Angie the bartender is wonderful, get her brisket sandwich, delicious! This is a rustic hotel, not updated or modern, so if this is not your thing, go elsewhere. I thought it was fantastic! And the price was also super good! Highly recommend.

Bullwinkle Rustic Lodge is exactly as it's billed. The motif is wood, pine cones, and plaids. The desk clerk was friendly and helpful. The lounge is smoker friendly which may appeal to some guests. The lodge is smoke free.

I needed a place to stay for one night in Poplar Bluff. Searching online, all of the usual chain lodging options were available. When Bullwinkle's Rustic Lodge popped up with excellent ratings, I knew I had found my place. Something different! My room was ready on my arrival. Spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed. Moose scultpture outside for selfies. I highly recommend a stay with Bullwinkle.

I was super skeptical about this place because it was slightly out of town and the rate was excellent. I was pleasantly surprised. It was honestly the best place we’ve stayed in a very long time! The room was huge, well decorated, and exceptionally clean! The bed was probably the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve slept on. The staff was so friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again! The only thing that was lack luster was the continental breakfast. There were snack cakey type foods, but I can’t complain.

Very old and outdated. You could hear the people in the next room breathing. The beds are not commercial and I couldn’t have sex with my wife bc we would have woke the entire motel. The air conditioner in our room made the worst squealing noise the entire time it was on. Very out dated place. I paid for a king bed room and got a room with 2 twin beds. Overall bad experience and I won’t be going back. The bar next door is great but the motel is horrible.

The room was very spacious and clean. Bathtub needed a little more cleaning /update. Bed was comfortable but also could use an upgraded mattress. Air conditioning need to be replaced. Been a lot of places overall very pleased.

The accommodations were eclectic but quite nice. The WiFi was weak and bandwidth was a bit limited. Not painfully limited, but not adequate for steady streaming. May have been just our room - it seemed to vary within the room. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and the staff were very helpful. There was a loud party above us, but that was a one-off. If you are looking for something eclectic and don't need 4 stars, this is for you!

I read the reviews before booking this hotel so I knew what to expect and they were correct. The hotel was clean and the staff was very nice and accommodating. The facilities were showing their age. The beds were hard and yes you need to bring your own pillows. Plastic was still on the mattress which I liked due to being less likely to have bed bugs but my wife found it noisy. I could stay there again but might pick another hotel.

Showed up around midnight and the lobby was closed called the emergency number that was posted on the door was told room key was under the door mat. Checked no key had to wait 20 minutes for someone to show up and get us a key. Trash under the bed. Had to get up at 5:30 am. No coffee cups in the room. Go to lobby to get coffee Closed
