Overall I can say that the beds were the only good part of it , they were comfortable. The receptionist was friendly I do not recall her name. Our room looked like it had a previous leak in ceiling, the paint was chipping off. The couch was stained and the tub did not look clean. We did not use the tub. The tv would only turn on from behind ,then you could use the remote. There was only coffee,apple/orange juice, granola bars and grits available. The website had a pool however the pool was green and out of order. This hotel could use a lot of remodeling, we have stayed in the same ones before in other places and they were way nicer. The surrounding was quiet which was good and lots of lighting in parking lot.

Pool is for looks only, wasn’t allowed to use, told by staff, chemicals had been put in, therefore you couldn’t use, Breakfast was pathetic, I ask at checkin and was told muffins, and bread, I said, no meat? He said, no meat, ‘tho hotel site, says breakfast, not continental breakfast, I will not stay here again, and would never recommend!

Rooms are nice and clean, staff is friendly. Homeless people around the building. Breakfast consisted of tea, coffee, juice and choice of 2 granola bars. Pond green water in the pool.

Nice room with comfy beds. The one and only complaint my family had was the pool. We booked this room specifically because it had a pool in the listing. However when we arrived, we could see the pool was in disarray. The water was green like from a pond and was padlocked shut. Had we known the pool was not open, we likely would have booked somewhere else. On another note, the complementary breakfast was also disappointing. Very limited, pre-packaged selection of food.

The beds were comfortable and the staff are awesome. Loved the dehumidifier in the room. Would have been better if the accessibility shower had a handheld shower head, but overall the water had plenty of pressure and HOT... win win. Wish the pool had been cleaned and open. Overall good stay and the location was awesome.

Pool was green as can be. Lock your cars. There are much better hotels in the area for just a few more dollars. Don't cheap out like me and just spend it.

The room did not look like it had been cleaned. The beds were made, but there was hair in the sheets. I called the front desk and she gave me clean sheets. Although the building is older. They need to clean thoroughly.

The bed sheets had a clump of hair on them, indicating they were not changed from the previous guest, the tub was filthy, the towels had black stains on them, the carpet was sticky and filthy, the pool was green and disgusting in July. I would never recommend anyone stay here. The breakfast option was 2 flavors of granola bars or instant grits. This hotel missed the mark!

This place smelled awful. There was urine spray on the bathroom walls. The tub and sink didn’t drain so we had to go buy draino. They took our towels each day without replacing them so we had hunt them down daily. They didnt empty the trash at all. There were disgusting stains all over the coverlet that I wouldn’t even touch it with my hands. Really gross!!

The bathtub is dirty and porcelain is braking off bottom of tub. The room is dirty , walls have dirt from soda spills. The mirrors have not been cleaned. Hair all over the toilet. Carpet is filthy. Will never stay in another Howard Johnson

The was not maintained well, room was half clean. I received no service to room. Carpet was dirty. Linen was wrinkled, door was dirty and sticky. Room was musty the humidifier was loud The phone in room didn’t work it was old and sticky. Base board were dirty. Tub didn’t drain properly, stayed two nights maid service didn’t attend to my room. At check out I did make management award, he nonchalant and gave excuses not solution.

I've seen stains under the sheets. Garbage cans, gross molding dirt all around the lamp bed uncomfortable towels look dirty, very unsanitary. Also, there is cracks in the floor where we tripped?

Internet did not work. Front desk offered a telephone number to technical support who also could not get the internet to work. T.V. didn't work. Front desk tried to help but there were numerous steps to take to turn the T.V. on (Remote not working) then several steps to find a channel. Missing wash cloth in bathroom, No ice. Light didn't work from entry light switch. I have stayed in worse places but I can't remember when. Rooms were clean and large. Beds were comfortable.

It was ok for one night. Carpet needs replacing and floor grout cleaning. Maybe laminate or vinyl would be better than carpet. Shower/tub could use scrubbing bubbles bleach to clean around faucets, grab bars as there is "crud" there.

We stayed 2 nights no more than 3 cars in the parking lot both nights, front desk guy try’s to upcharge you once you go to check in says what you pay on Expedia isn’t right etc double bed room only 2 towels if you can find a better spot to stay do yourself a favor. Also fork you sign says checkout is at 12 he called to tell us to be put by 11 or we would be up charged yet again

I was very upset. When we arrived I was told they did not have our room. My husband has a broken leg and cannot do stairs. When I made the reservation I called to confirm a king bed on the ground floor. When I received an email confirmation I called again to confrm a king bed on the ground floor. I was assured that would be ready for us. When we arrived I was told the room was given away and they had no notice of our request. I was told they could give us a small room with 2 twins for the same price as the king room. That was unacceptable. We will not be using this chain again and I will be reposting my review on several sites.

Inexpensive hotel, so didn't expect the Four Seasons. The front desk was excellent, VERY friendly and helpful when asked about dinner recommendations. The area was quiet and seemed safe, the bed was comfortable and the sheets clean - these were the most important things. They need a good handyman to fix the minor stuff like broken lamps, carpet and wall stains, and perform ongoing preventive maintenance. But it was good for a short vacation and would use them again!

Nice for an overnight stay. Very limited breakfast which is ok. Very close to everything, the Vicksburg National Military Park and historic downtown area as well. Close to the highway exit. We parked right by our first-floor room.

Could be dangerous getting out of the parking lot, since its in the middle of a curve. They should not say they serve breakfast, since all it is coffe, a breakfast bar and instant grits that you fix your self.

Room only 1 pillow (which was flat and small) per perosn. Breakfast consisted of stale bread, microwaveable oatmeal packets, milk that tasted like it was old, and some over riped bananas. Had to ask for extra towels, 4 in our family and room only had 2 towels in the bathroom. Very basic and cheap.
