Best Western Mountainbrook Inn Maggie Valley

Good hotel for the price. Breakfast was good, nice pool and a good location.

The room was ok! Nothing great or special. It is close to main road so unless you sleep through anything or bring a sound machine, you hear traffic all through night. The curtains do not cover entire window to block outside lights, so if you like total dark to sleep, that will not happen. No elevator if on second level. Other than those things, all was good. Beds were comfortable and room clean.

Staff was really sweet and did everything they could within their power, but the facilities were terrible. The heated pool and “spa” were closed and we had no hot water the entire time we were there in the winter, which is really an essential need for people staying there to ski. The room was not really clean either when we checked in. Overall, I understand it was a motel in peak season but I would at least expect to have hot water for almost $200 a night.

Nice rooms and front walkways w/ rocking chairs! It was very peaceful in the mornings especially sitting out and enjoying the calm outdoors. Breakfast was pretty good too. The pancake machine is very neat to my unsophisticated mind.

Very nice place . This was my first time to stay at the Best Western in Maggie Valley definitely not my first time visiting Maggie . This is a very clean hotel to say the least , cant wait to come back in the summer and be able to visit the pool .

Overall it was okay. We booked a king room with a "balcony" and thought we had read creek view. The lady at the front desk was polite and friendly but laughed and said the only creek is across Hwy 19 and isn't visible from the hotel. That was disappointing but no big deal. The balcony is actually the walkway in front of the rooms and it faces the parking lot and traffic.Just understand that it's not a private sitting balcony from your room. The room was very clean, bed was old but tolerable. The noise from the traffic was annoying and kept us awake. The hot tub is in repair and appears to have been out of service for quite some time due to it's appearance. The pool area was clean and accommodating. The breakfast was good and plentiful! Again, staff were friendly, acommodating and honest. We probably would not stay here again, the noise from the traffice was a factor for us.

Needs an upgrade though room was clean and bed comfortable. Hot tub on site but not in working condition. There’s not much to do in the evenings or downtime in Maggie Valley.

Staff was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of the area. Room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Parking was adequate. Breakfast included a wide variety of items to choose from: waffles, eggs, sausage, fruit, juices, coffee, teas, cereal, yogurts, etc.

Eveerything was pleasing. One note is that the jacuzzi looked like it had been out of service for a while..After a day of skiing the jacuzzi would have been wonderful

Bed was comfy. That’s top priority for me. Pool & hot tub unavailable.

Mold in bathroom and old technologies. I had to change rooms and buy detergent to clean before using the bathroom and other things. This is not what you want to do when you are looking for relaxation. Unbelievable that I had to clean myself to feel more comfortable.

The room was very clean the staff was very helpful. We loved our stay.

Overall clean appearance. Room had a wet odor. It had been cleaned and stocked. The drains in the sink and tub took several minutes to drain. Mold on the shower curtain. Sheets felt sticky. Beds were comfortable. Curtains let in too much street light. Morning staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was well stocked each morning.

Very dingy and dated motel. Rooms were dirty and very aged. Caked on filth on most surfaces, switches, and floors. The only good part were the seemingly clean linens. The few staff interactions were pleasant but not overly welcoming. Would not stay here again.

Room smelled musty and the sheets were damp. We had to ask for new sheets. What they should of done is move us to a another room.

So first of all, the best thing was the mattress the worst things were the shower was moldy. There was no hot water at all our entire stay, and the hairdryer did not work at all. Breakfast was cold what there was of it and the poor girl who was running the front desk, didn’t speak very good English. She was a foreign girl, and I certainly appreciate her. However, she was just like abandoned by the owner or manager person.

I will say that the bed was absolutely amazing. I actually looked at the type of mattress to possibly purchase in the future. Having said that, the curtains did a really poor job at blocking the outside light to the point where I had to use pillows against the ac system to push the curtain closer to the window. The window also does a really poor job at blocking the traffic noise but thankfully we had earplugs but if we hadn’t, it would have been incredibly difficult to fall asleep.

This property is rather old and worn. Staff was friendly and price was fair.

Convenient to Maggie Valley attractions. Breakfast was good for a continental breakfast. The highway noise would be my only complaint but it quieted down after 10-ish.

This is a clean, nice hotel. Room was very spacious and looked to have been recently renovated. Breakfast was very good. Staff was very skilled and friendly. I enjoyed my stay. My only qualms with the hotel is the shower controls and the bar next door. The shower was a bit wonky and getting the water temperature right was a challenge. The Legends bar next made a very good chef salad but its proximity to hotel made for a lot of outside noise. When there was a live band and even with Kareoke, the music as loud enough to be heard inside my hotel room. That combined with a continual parade of very loud Harley’s going into and out of Legenda and the hotel, it was somewhat loud and disturbing until around 10 or 11 each night. I know the hotel can’t do anything about that but it is good to know if something like that bothers you. I learned to live with it fine over my two night stay. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would stay there again.

Clean and convenient to main road through Maggie Valley. Close to restaurants (walking and/or short driving distance. Only stayed one night so did not have room made, etc. so not much interaction with staff, although those we saw (clerk and breakfast person) were pleasant. Faced main road, so traffic noise was less-than relaxing

It was fine. They did not offer custodial service, replenish towels, etc . We had to go to the office and ask. Not the most friendly.

Check in staff just looked at me when i entered. Didnt stand or greet me. Refridgerator in room was frozen over. Was told they'd defrost it next day. Instead brought a smaller fridge which i agreed was fine. But the maintenance cleaned it with so much sanitizer that we couldnt use it because of the smell. Front desk lady tried to wipe it clear of the smell. Didnt work. Told the front desk man. He just shrugged. Bathroom floor was not clean. Check out morning we had no hot water. Dissapointing stay.

The front desk staff was not particularly helpful. The first person was talking to her mom while checking us in and didn't know about the rewards program. The second was not helpful or friendly. The person at checkout was very nice.

Convenient location, allowed us to check in early as we arrived before 3:00 pm. Staff very courteous. Bed very comfortable. Would stay again

The worst costumer service in all my life. The lady at the front desk was unpolite, disrespectful, not helpful at all. We asked for the hot tub because it was the reason I rented the room and when I realized it was dirty and also it was in other property called “quality inn” I went to the front desk and I asked why she did not tell us the hot tub was not working and also dirty and that I would like to find a solution. She reacted in a terrible way saying that I could do whatever I wanted and I had not to think in any compensation or anything like that. I could not belive she was talking in that bad way, so I asked again to find a way and she was reacting worst saying that she was not able to talk with me and even with expedia, after that, she just started talking with the next guest on the line letting me talk by myself. I called expedia, and they got in contact with her and when expedia replaid back to me, they said they could not find any solution because the girl was also disrespectful with them and that she had talked with her manager and that the manager of her Let her be in that way and also not having any consideration, not just for the behavior of her also for the wrong information of the amenities that are not working or in this case that they do not have.

The staff at Best Western Mountainbrook Inn really make the difference here. Cherrie and the team that I met with were terrific and very helpful in making my stay a great one. Highly recommend it and you can't beat the location.

We had a nice stay at this Best Western. James at the desk was more than helpful. We were able to check in a bit early which made it easier to get to a sporting event we were attending nearby. We wished we were there longer and the weather was better so we could walked around a bit.

Location was great, room was very clean. Close to everything and they even provided a list of local restaurants which was extremely useful. Planning to return in the fall.

It’s a small hotel in a small town. The location is very convenient for going to the great smoky mountains national park and Asheville. Room is clean and relatively new. It’s quiet at night. Free breakfast is included. Plenty of free parking on site.

Close to the attractions, we wanted to see the room was great Bed’s very comfortable

Best Western Mountainbrook is our go to when we visit the NC mountains. It's central to all we do, walkable to several places in the valley, and pretty quiet, all things considered. Continental breakfast is very convenient. Desk and breakfast staff friendly. Floor in bathroom was not well cleaned, but overall the property was very clean. Will stay there again.

Loved the location

We enjoyed staying here! The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast that had the essentials including sausage, scrambled eggs, gravy, and a waffle maker. There are some neat things close by, and we enjoyed the proximity to the Great Smokies.

Too close to the road- noisy otherwise very good property.

Our stay was great. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great also.

Clean and comfortable room. Good filling breakfast choices with eggs, sausages, waffles, biscuits, fruit, yogurt, etc. included. We lasted all day skiing without getting hungry. On the second morning we were surprised to see 5 big, beautiful elk walking around behind the property. The staff was friendly and helpful with recommendations for dinner restaurants.

Breakfast is from 7-9 am a little early to end free breakfast.Check out is 11. Need longer breakfast hours.
