Clean, convenient and covered parking for motorcycles. Could use a couple more covered parking areas for motorcycles with multiple rally’s every year.

Very old hotel and it shows. No security snd no secure entry into the hotel. Anyone that wants to walk through can as there’s no locks on the side doors. The hotel hallways are painted very dark with little lighting. The bed frame is an old time metal frame with springs and was not quiet at all. Sign says it was recently updated but that must be from 15 years ago.

Hotel staff was nice, room was clean, I never got a washcloth, they said they ran out. Elevator went out one day which was a hassle since I had to carry a stroller downstairs. Quiet area peaceful stay. The restaurant was GREAT!

Staff was very friendly and efficient. Check-in was smooth. The facility has seen better days. Elevator was slow, creaky, and in rough shape. Bathroom in our room was unacceptable. Large gaps in wall behind commode, and missing texture on ceiling above shower head. Shower spout was loose and about to fall off. Breakfast was standard hotel buffet. Fix the bathroom, and update the elevator, and everything would be good.

The room was freezing and the toilet did not work. Had to finally request another room. Following day key did not work on the door. Went to front desk to find out none of the keys were working and had to get someone to open the door. And went back on Saturday after funeral, room was never cleaned. Room was put at 90° and still never got warm. Will not be staying here again.

1. When we got to our room it was clearly being worked on. The a/c was disassembled, tools and parts all over the floor, control panel off the wall, worker buggy in room. Went back to front desk. Manager put us in a new room promptly. (She was the only good part of our stay. 2. Next day, left for our event, came back to room to change clothes. Room keys didnt work. Had to go back to front desk. Was told "oh, you're the ones we couldn't figure out where you were, so we had to lock you out". 3. Hotel room & linens were clean. 4. Hotel is in desperate need of upgrade/remodel. It's in horrible shape. 5. We were not offered a discount for our troubles.

I can't even tell what the decorator was thinking in this place. It's like the artist formerly known as Prince meets the 60s, but not in a good way. Given the price tag of the room it's obvious they are price gouging because of Hurricane Helene. On top of this, the coffee tasted like hot water and according to my husband, the breakfast options were horrible, so he didn't even bother to bring anything back to me in the room. During our stay none of the keys to any of the rooms were working so you had to go to the front desk and get an escort to your room so you could get in. This was obviously very annoying. But it also emphasizes the need to have congenial and friendly front desk staff so that any problems guests may have can be smoothed over. At our checkout when I asked if we could get a discount because of none of the keys ever working, the front desk lady said that she didn't think we could because it wasn't just us. Oh, okay. So as long as you give terrible service to EVERYONE that's acceptable.

Breakfast was good, pool closed?, elevator door shut with people in doorway, men’s lobby bathroom flooded, no shampoo in room, got blocked in the back of property by food service truck

Decent hotel, but not the greatest. Elevator was very sketchy. Room was decent, but there were scrapes on the walls, no fan in the bathroom, and white bed sheets had minor stains.

We had to change rooms because the TV would not work but that’s not the worst of it the morning after we had already slept we found multiple bedbugs in our bed Run far far far away from considering staying here. NASTY!!!

The place is not very secure. Anyone from off of the street could walk in any of the unlocked doors to any room 24/7. Most places require you to walk in through the lobby after hours if not 24/7. The security lock was broken off of the door (see photo). The bathroom was horrible due to sewer gas leaking into the bathroom because the person that installed the sink had no clue what they were doing and didn't install a pee trap to block the sewer gas (see photo). When we told the front desk they didn't seem to care at all and acted like it was a common regular problem, which makes me think many rooms likely have the same issue.

The staff were all friendly and the Mexican restaurant downstairs was great. That's where anything good ends. The breakfast had subpar options and the eggs and sausage were ice cold. Not just like they weren't warm anymore...literally chilled. This was extremely disappointing since the only reason we chose this hotel was because they offered a buffet style breakfast. The first room we were put in was actually supposed to be blocked off due to problems with the shower. We found that out after staying there one night. When we told the front desk that the shower didn't work, they gave us a new room. We thought that would be the end of our problems. Nope. The bedding all had stains. One comforter had a tear that seemed to be glued back together and then torn again. There was snot smeared on a couple of the walls. The 2 queen bed room only provided 2 towels. We did make sure to test the shower before transferring all of our belongings. It ran...but once we actually used the shower, we found that it didn't drain properly. So we had to shower in ankle deep water. It also would have been nice to have had the trash picked up and coffee replenished during our 4 night stay. We regret staying here for our much anticipated anniversary trip and will choose somewhere else next time we're in the area.

The bed was very comfortable. I was there 3 days and not only do they not clean your room until after 3 days, but not once did anyone bring clean towels!!! And being handicap, it's very hard to keep going to the front desk to get them every day. The bathroom shower had a sewer smell coming from the drain that permeated the whole room. The handicap rails for the toilet don't fit. No Do Not Disturb signs in the room either.

We stayed 3 nights in Room 107. 6/26/2025 thru 6/28/2025. This Hotel seems somewhat remodeled, mostly inside, I believe the grounds could use a facelift.. We never had Housekeeping during our 3 night stay, no new towels, coffee, bed fixing. Room was nice, Bathroom as well, Once again very well remodeled. However, When standing at the sink there is a foul sewer odor. When I brought this to the attention at the front desk at checkout, I was informed that my room was closed due to the Trap Issue at the bathroom sink. Maybe I'll return to a Clarion someplace else, NO THANK YOU on Soco Road.

The towels were not wash properly. I was about to wipe my face and notice red and stains on 1 towel and picked up another towel and that one had dirt all over it. At that point, I just took a t-shirt from my bag and dried myself off.

We were greeted by a young lady at the front desk, she was very nice. But hotel was not worth for its price. Elevator smelled horrible and needs renovation

I will never stay here again. Walls paper thin i could her the people next store snoring. Ceiling falling down. It was just overalk nasty

Woke up to bed bugs! Took one to the front desk to show them but they didn't adjust the charges to my room. I was still charged for the 2 nights I booked even though I left. Will never use this again.

It was fine... nothing great, not overpriced for what it is. Rooms were clean and decent. The AC is loud and has to run constantly to keep it somewhat cool in the rooms. We stayed two nights for the 4th of July as a place to come and go from and it served its purpose.

Room was clean and a good size. Bed was very comfortable. Hotel was quiet. Breakfast was good. The elevator had troubles when I arrived there (door was shutting too quickly) but they fixed that in a day or so. The room would be better with a larger TV. The hotel is starting to look a bit down in places but it is a good place to stay. I will stay there again definitely

It was a convenient place to stay for work. But I couldn’t sleep as well as I would have liked. You can hear people in the hallway. The opening and slamming of the doors. It was very unsettling. The walls in my room looked like they had been in a flood. The swelling of the wood was very noticeable.

Very clean and updated rooms. Standard breakfast. Very pleased for the price, a very good value.

Hotel rooms seem to be updated but tv was entirely to small (32"), shower hot water seemed to fluctuate without warning, hallway carpet was aged and just needed an update. Location was great as well as the front checkin staff.

This room was just ok. The rooms have been renovated so that was a plus. You get wet when u cut on shower. The beds were comfortable. The heat is old kind of hotel fan which was LOUD.

The first room we were given the light in the bathroom was out and there was no tv remote. They sent us to another room. The second room the remote was broken. We just said to ourselves, “oh well.” My husband changed the channels and volume the old fashioned way with buttons on side of tv.

Booked a handicap accessible room and the shower was not accessible.

Shower was clogged to the point water would run out into the floor after taking a 5 minute shower. Ice and vending machines were out of order and air conditioner would not cool room in September. Location was convenient and staff did what they could to correct issues but would not recommend staying here.

Partially renovated property but some of the unrenovated areas are really worn and gross. It was pet friendly, which was good but the Floor you have to stay on with a pet has an extremely loud rooftop fan that blasts thru the bathroom and is almost unbearable. Reservation included breakfast for three but we were told on New Year’s Eve that the food didn’t arrive on time so we were just out of luck. This would not have been the biggest issue had they been willing to compensate us or give us a credit for the three meals we now had to go out and purchase.

When i arrived i was immediately accused of being someone they had spoken to on the phone twice, who had already had their reservation canceled 4 hours before i even made my reservation, and was not allowed at their property. (Newsflash i am not this person) At first i thought they were joking because they were so crass about it, but i quickly learned this was no joke. I assumed providing my license and proving otherwise would resolve the issue. Upon providing my information i was then called a liar and told that i was this person regardless of what my ID says and that i live in a local town and that i have stayed in their hotel before and have been banned.( NONE of which is true) they then proceed to advise that they had canceled my stay (two hours before i even booked it which also doesn\'t make sense, but remember they believe i am this other person) i tried providing my Expedia travel confirmation as proof, they accused me of making it up and said their confirmation numbers start with a different number. They then advise that i need to find another place to stay and left my husband and i with nowhere to stay 2.5 hours from home in the middle of the night. I was practically in tears the two gentlemen (one at the front desk and one on the phone i requested he call who supposedly spoke with "me" twice) were so incredibly rude and ugly. I have never been treated so disrespectfully in all my life and i was shocked and dumbfounded they would treat anyone that way. Disgusting!

My medicine was stolen out of room sheets were disgusting not even changed no one has called to talk make it right or even compensate or helped with missing items called manager no call back or communication at all will never book again showed no sympathy

Front desk agent I think Amanda or Amber was very helpful. Had a bit of an issue with the arrival date being wrong. She was very calm and helpful getting things fixed.

Checked in with the understanding that the pool was open. Found out it was not. Front desk person was lovely. My 21 year old son with Autism was disappointed. Not too much later got a call from the front desk that a neighboring room had called down with concerns/noise complaints about our room. It was before 5 PM. There was no yelling. I explained that my son has Autism and does some vocal stimming- nothing over standard speech level. And the front desk person said, “Well do you think you can keep it down.” I replied that I will remind Owen to be aware but stimming is his coping mechanism. The front desk replied that excessive noise could result in police involvement or us being asked to leave. I was horrified and insulted and hurt for my son. We travel often and stay in hotels frequently. I have never been threatened to have the police called on us because of a concern of danger or violence (there was none, never has been, never will be, my son is the happiest young man and view Autism as a gift). The hotel was at minimal booking so the complainant could have been moved instead my son and I had to walk and eggshells and act as if we were expected to be ashamed of Autism. I will NEVER book with Clarion again. We have hotel bookings for July and September and October as he plays competitive tennis and regularly travel for tournaments. And we have for years. I will choose more inclusive places to stay.

Best thing here was the staff. The hotel is a bit worn from age but overall OK. The housekeeping here is a 3rd day service. FYI, that's too long. We had to go to the desk and insist on service. We were there with 2 other couples and one of them didn't get service until the 5th day. Even though we were out of shampoo they didn't leave us any. I assume since they saw that we had some of our own we didn't need any. FYI, I bring my own so when we run out we have some. Not so they can skimp on their supplies. What I'm most angry about happened at checkin. When I book apparently I clicked on 1 king accessible instead of 1 king non-accessible. They asked me if I would give up the room in case they needed it. I was ok with that except they offered us a 2 queen non-accessible. I wanted the 1 king so we would have a couch. To get a 1 king non-accssible they said it would be an extra $10 per night. We had driven all day and were tired so I agreed. I was willing to do the right thing but real unhappy for being charged for doing it. I won't stay again.

was close by every attraction. ski, ashville, casino. front desk was very kind and wonderful. had a great time at the mexican restaurant at the hotel. would defintely stay here again if i ever visit maggie valley

Property was overall clean, rooms were roomy and bathrooms were clean and well maintained. I will not give high points for locations as it is couple of miles before the Maggie Valley town. The hotel stands on its own.

The breakfast they served was absolutely horrible. The milk was rotten, the scrambled eggs had mold in them, and there were smoke residue everywhere from people smoking inside A NO-SMOKING room. The room’s AC was as loud as a freight truck and we barely slept. Overall, this hotel is as good as a sidewalk homeless tent.

Good experience. Staff very friendly/helpful. Restaurant on site with bar was quite nice. Hallway carpet could stand to be replaced. We plan to stay here again.
