Stayed 1 night

I was looking for a pen and a pad of paper in the room around 9:30 pm, I thought this was standard in all hotel rooms so I looked in all thr drawers and couldn't find any. I ahd a 4 & 2 year old baby with meso I couldn't leave the room, so I called the front desk to see if someone could bring me a pen and a pad. I know it's a random request, but I used to work in a hotel doing room service and we would do stuff like this all the time. The woman who answered the phone was not interested in helping me at all. She started by saying "just come downstairs and someone can help you with that", and I said I had babies in the room so I couldn't leave, so she said, "yes, there's nobody here that can bring you a pen and paper"... So I just laughed and said okay thanks, and hung up. It was just a strange experience, and is not the kind of service or environment that I remember trying to create when I worked at the hotel.

My only gripe with this hotel is its age, very old in appearance. But what was worse is that the air-conditioning struggled to cool my room down, which didn’t happen until that night around 10pm. My sleep overall was uncomfortable because I like being cold. Front desk had already mentioned upon check-in that their hotel struggles with keeping higher floors cool. Parking is also $10 per night.

Even though there was construction going on around the hotel, it had no impact inside the hotel. Clean, quiet, comfortable and very helpful staff.
