Restaurant facilities were under repair and there were no laundry facilities. However, it was clean and quiet the interiors of the room, much nicer than the outside, parking, free and convenient and only a few minutes from the center of town and conveniently right on the turnpike. Overall, a very good experience.

Checking in experience was in a dirty smelly vestibule. Staff was not present late afternoon and had to call a number for service. When he arrived he was not friendly at all. Dirty sidewalks along the property to get into the rooms. Dog walking area was impossible to walk my dog because it was covered in poop and no bags available to pick up after pets. Thank GOD I always bring my own. Inside the room the microwave was full of rust and dirty. Inside the shower the shower adjuster was rusty and didn’t stay in place, was loose and kept moving downward. There was no fitted sheet, just 2 flat sheets. The TV was very loud and volume couldn’t be adjusted. I am thinking because of the loud regular residents that were partaking in drugs. The loud yelling and arguing above me was unbearable, so then grateful for not being able to lower the TV volume. It was creepy, especially when I showered and bugs showed up. I showered again after I left and washed and sanitized everything I had placed in the room.

I am careful to review this because as you scroll it seems to be one extreme to the other. The friendly check in staff was helpful. From the outside the expectations were uncertain but once in the room it looks recently renovated with a very nice style. The room was clean, didn't smell bad, bed very comfortable, and nice accommodations in it. The area for parking is well lit. We would stay again. For the not so good reviews maybe those are rooms that have not yet been renovated??? I have had many questionable hotel stays in NJ and this one was a very pleasant surprise. Thank you for a great stay RRI.

Disgusting. The outside and Libby were so filthy that o asked to see the room before checking in. He said promise it’s nice and it’s clean. We didn’t even step idide the room. We turned and went straight back to the disgusting lying man and said I wanted money back. We left knowing g it was either stay there or risk sleeping in the car. We left.

The sidewalk and parking lot are new. The exterior building needs a lot of work. The rooms are not cleaned daily. The king bed did not have a king blanket or king top sheet. The bottom sheet was a flat and kept coming undone. The cleaning woman demanded a tip. She didnt understand English. Its cheaper than anything else.

It’s a run down motel, nasty stairs, second floor walkway dirty, stains, busted concrete with crates side openings. Mold in bathroom bottom of wall, all door frame entrance of bathroom. Shower wall dirty and complementary shampoo and conditioner were used. Soap bag was opened Sheets looked clean but had hair in between sheets, bed covers had several stains on it, (possibly food stains. Room, second floor walkway and stairs has a bad smell. We decided not to stay there, returned Key Card and Rooms. Departed in less than an hour. We were offered other rooms, but there was no way we were staying at the place.

Was in town for basketball and this was one of the only options left as we waited until the last minute to book. The outside of the facilities gave regular motel vibes, which was nothing spectacular. Once we checked in, the inside of the hotel room was exceptionally clean, had crisp white linens, updated appliances, and everything worked. Would recommend and would definitely stay again

Owners were extremely helpful and responsive to all interactions. Unfortunately calling a number to check in does not feel comfortable as a single female. The parking lot is a mess (broken pavement). My room phone was broken. My volume button did not work on my television which was "solved" by setting a volume I was comfortable with and leaving it that way by management. Bed topper was stained but immediately replaced on asking...appears the fabric is just very stain prone.

It’s not the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in but awfully close. When we arrived at reception to check in, the door was locked and there was a sign in the window with a number to call. We apparently interrupted the dinner of the very nice gentleman who showed up and checked us in. The best thing about the room was that it had hardwood flooring, a decent television, a microwave and fridge with freezer. But there were ants in the bathroom, the shower doors kept coming off the track, mildew or mold stains leaking from the shelf that held the soap, peeling paint on the bathroom ceiling, towels that were just one step above thin rags, caked dust in the corners and stains on the bedding. Oh and by the way - it was not cheap. I did not have very high expectations but I didn’t want to spend any time in that room for any reason except to sleep and sleeping the first night was really hard.

Yuk. People getting dropped off with clear plastic trash bags, while blocking the cars actually parked correctly from leaving. Of course they didn’t give a damn. The room had an eyelash extension glued to the lampshade. The bathroom has pink scum mold in it. We left. Didn’t even stay. Place is a DUMP. In the morning the offer coffe in the lobby. Except, the lobby was closed. Have a number to call. No one answered. I waited until 9 to go get my copy of the bill still not a soul in site. At 9:15 the houses ping lady knocks on my door to see if and when I’m leaving. Like, what!!?

The room had a very old, musty smell to it and the sheets and pillowcases were dirty. Floor looked like it hadn’t been cleaned. I checked out a night early and the manager at the desk asked me not to leave a bad review. Nothing else about the room :(

Room was cool and comfortable. There was a puddle on the ground by the bathroom from a leaking vent, there was a mildew stain on the ceiling from it leaking for so long. Quite nasty to step in that puddle.

It wasn't great really thin walls the vinyl wood floor was peeling up and the metal threshold going from the main room to the bathroom was cracked and would pinch you foot. To be charging the amount i spent is kinda insane makes me reconsider booking it and i will be reconsidering using hotels.com again as well

The thing I wanted to mention about my stay is that even though there were rooms available toward the front of the property, the front desk staffer directed me around to the back, and I quickly realized why. It was much quieter back there, even though it was near a busy intersection. The rooms closer to the front would have been much noisier. I have been impressed overall with the cleanliness and overall condition of the Red Roof Inns I have stayed at, but this extra touch of customer service was much appreciated.

My room door was unlocked from the outside and would not lock. You did not need a key card to enter my room. This meant I could not leave my room and secure my belongings inside. I ended up keeping my belongings in my car because no one was at the front desk to help me and I was leaving for my event.

The only issue was the A/C. Sometimes it worked correctly, ither times we had to play around with the thermostat to get it to work. All in all it wasnt a bad experience.

There was an holding charge of 100.00 that I did not know about. Also there was a lot of noise from the highway. It was okay. There was a bug in the bathroom. But I was able to deal with that.

Very clean room and friendly staff. Just a coupke issues that i had. First the AC did not work. Tried everything, but could not figure out how to get it to turn on. Second, the smoke detector was missing. And third, tv never operated. Other than that, it was a comfortable stay for 1 night.

Checking in experience was in a dirty smelly vestibule. Staff was not present late afternoon and had to call a number for service. When he arrived he was not friendly at all. Dirty sidewalks along the property to get into the rooms. Dog walking area was impossible to walk my dog because it was covered in poop and no bags available to pick up after pets. Thank GOD I always bring my own. Inside the room the microwave was full of rust and dirty. Inside the shower the shower adjuster was rusty and didn’t stay in place, was loose and kept moving downward. There was no fitted sheet, just 2 flat sheets. The TV was very loud and volume couldn’t be adjusted. I am thinking because of the loud regular residents that were partaking in drugs. The loud yelling and arguing above me was unbearable, so then grateful for not being able to lower the TV volume. It was creepy, especially when I showered and bugs showed up. I showered again after I left and washed and sanitized everything I had placed in the room.

I’m very disappointed with my recent stay at the Red Roof Inn. On the day of checkout, housekeeping entered our room *before* 11 a.m.—well before we had actually checked out. This was a clear violation of our privacy and left us feeling rushed and unwelcome. Checkout time exists for a reason. Door lock was broken and swipe key did not work- guy at front desk had to let me in with a key and said there was nothing he could do and didn’t have another room for me- when I got back from dinner I had to call his phone to get him to come open my door and let me in- I had to leave at 6am and after shutting the door I remembered I forgot something in room- I called phone number many times with no answer and no one answered office door when I rang bell for 10 minutes- pathetic what I had to deal with!!! Never again

Rooms were very clean. Housecleaning staff was exceptional. If we needed anything extra they were very accommodating. A lot of good restaurants close by. Front desk staff asked if there was anything special we needed. Very nice.

The thing I wanted to mention about my stay is that even though there were rooms available toward the front of the property, the front desk staffer directed me around to the back, and I quickly realized why. It was much quieter back there, even though it was near a busy intersection. The rooms closer to the front would have been much noisier. I have been impressed overall with the cleanliness and overall condition of the Red Roof Inns I have stayed at, but this extra touch of customer service was much appreciated.

Cleaning staff left my door unlocked all day. They do not clean the rooms, just give fresh towels. They do not make beds sweep the floors or do any other cleaning. The place is cheap and fine for an overnight but not a long stay. The hotel is right on highway 9 which has an enormous amount of traffic. Trying to leave the hotel One must wait several minutes until traffic ebbs and it is safe to get on to highway 9 North. The room was nice and updated. The beds were comfortable. I just wish the cleaning staff would clean the room.

on the 2nd day of stay I called to request the room get cleaned and was told ok. But when we returned at night it was not cleaned. On the 3rd morning I requested the room be cleaned and was told ok but when we returned in the afternoon it was not. So I requested again and was told ok. But when we returned at night it was not. The 4th morning I asked again and was told on extended stays they normally only clean every 3 days, not daily. I said but yesterday was our 3rd day and they did not clean it even though I asked twice. He apologized and said that was because on my 2nd stay the hotel was full and so they were very busy on my 3rd day cleaning so many rooms (except mine). This was our check out day and I asked for at least clean towels and more coffee packs to make coffee which they brought in 15 minutes. I have never paid $140/night for a room that was not cleaned with new towels and coffee every day. Much less after 2 requests in the same day that fell on deaf ears. I guess it's a sign of the times and to be expected because this was the cheapest hotel in Freehold. I did not notice on Hotel.com when I booked that it did not include daily cleaning and fresh towels.

Yuk. People getting dropped off with clear plastic trash bags, while blocking the cars actually parked correctly from leaving. Of course they didn’t give a damn. The room had an eyelash extension glued to the lampshade. The bathroom has pink scum mold in it. We left. Didn’t even stay. Place is a DUMP. In the morning the offer coffe in the lobby. Except, the lobby was closed. Have a number to call. No one answered. I waited until 9 to go get my copy of the bill still not a soul in site. At 9:15 the houses ping lady knocks on my door to see if and when I’m leaving. Like, what!!?

By far the best Red Roof Inn my girlfriend and I stayed at. Staff were very warm and welcoming and the room including the showers were phenomenal. Easily a 10 out of 10.

About the only good thing I can say is the room was clean. The lobby and rooms are very heavily perfumed which we attributed to the hotel being pet friendly and it was being used to cover pet odors. The 2 bath towels in the room had frayed edges, there was no hand soap, the pillows were extremely flat ( we went to the store to buy some ( pillows, towels and hand soap after the first night ). The comforter had cigarette burn holes in it. The AC worked very well but didn’t have a button to keep the fan on when the compressor turned off so as soon as it shut off because it reached the temperature it shut off and then the room would get hot. If you upped the air because it got too cold, hot air would come out. It was very difficult to regulate the temperature.
