The hotel was very disappointing. Lots of trash around the hotel. The dog poop disposals were overflowing and never emptied the three days we were there. The rooms were minimal with no refrigerators or microwave and one very small trash can. Neither the pool nor the Fitness center were open. Very disappointing! The room itself was clean and nicely decorated and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was pretty good-waffles, eggs, bacon, cereal, toast, apples and oranges.

Disabled with difficulty walking and multiple pieces of medical equipment. One elevator not working so had to walk down an entire floor to other elevator and then all the way back on the floor because room was near the broken elevator.

When we checked the front desk staff was pleasant. We checked into our room and found an ungodly odor coming from the A/C unit. We were told there were no more rooms available, so we sucked it up, bought some Lysol and made the best of it. Then we went to use the "hot tub", the pool water was warmer than the water in the "hot tub". And there were no bubbles in the "hot tub". They are falsely advertising a "hot tub" when all it is is a smaller pool. When we mentioned the "hot tub" wasn't working we were answered with shrugging shoulders. We will NEVER stay at a LaQuinta again.

First, the positives. The room satisfied the basic travel needs (clean, working AC, well lit, 24 hour coffee located in reception), convenient location to interstate, and a main boulevard, Walmart Supercenter, restaurants, gas/quick shops, and the most notable aspect was a great free breakfast. They offered juice, coffee, tea, waffles, muffins, bagels, scrambled eggs, sausage, bread for toast, fruits, cereals and more. Now the NOT so positive. The pool hot tub was closed; the exercise room was closed; the elevator was slow (5 story building), pet rooms intermingled with regular guest rooms (suggest dedicated floors) and was barked at each time I exited my room and also witnessed a dog fight; the "business center" computer didn't work and the printer was missing; the grounds as a whole showing signs of dying; there were multiple homeless people less than a block away. Perhaps the most annoying event was management's mis-timed choice to close the pool for several hours for a private party. "Mistimed" because a) it was a hot Saturday weekend day, (it was a HOLIDAY weekend at that), c) only one person used the pool while it was closed. (this a severe disappointment for our visiting grandchildren) The positives just barely outweigh the negatives for me, but others will not reach that conclusion.

The TV and the stationary bike in the workout room didn't work. The desk attendant said she'd have someone look at it right away. I was done with my workout before they showed up, assuming they did. The back door which is the closest entrance to the main parking lot was not room key accessible. It was broken, I was told you had to walk around to the front where there was no parking. There were homeless tents just on the other side of the parking lot fence where we had to park. I know, first world problems, but I was afraid for my wife when she went to our car alone. Room was great, but won't stay there again.

When I first arrived two policemen were making a walk-through of the property. There was also a security guard posted outside the hotel in his patrol car. Both elevators were dirty. the floor were sticky and they were old and the metal was tarnished. When my TV would not work the front desk gave me a suggestion on what to do. When that didn't work I called the desk four more times but no one answered. The TV did not work that night

This property feels old and it's right beside the freeway. The first room they gave us smelled really bad, so we asked for another. The back exit door doesn't work and you can't get back in unless you walk around the entire building to get in the front door. Pet friendly but not really any good outdoor area for dogs.

Have friendly staff and clean rooms. We enjoyed the continental breakfast. I know the property was in renovation on the first floor. We were on the second floor, the elevator is in need to be renovated too. It was slow. The during the busy weekend in Albuquerque. The pool and jacuzzi needed more attention on being cleaned. That was one of the reasons we wanted to stay at your property.

Our room carpet and drapery had all kind os stains. The room had a very strong smoking smell even though the whole property was supposed to be a non-smoking property. And thr front desk did not really care that we mentioned these issues and all they said was we will look into it.

I don’t think the room has been cleaned. Both beds had hair on them, carpets were gross, walls dirty, and the shower was super grimy. Hair dryer and some artwork were missing, and there were random little holes in the wall. Door closed and locked technically, but there was still a bit of a gap, so I shoved a chair against it, and did the hanger trick. Took pictures and videos of everything. Normally, I might have asked for a different room, but was so tired from waking up super early that day for my road trip. So I slept in my clothes from the day, and put on my jacket with hood firmly up, and slept on top of the sheets and blanket. The towels seemed to be the only clean thing, and I put those over the pillows I used.

This was by far the dirtiest hotel I have stayed in. On top of my fresh linen was an obviously used washcloth. And it was stiff from the last man that used it. I believe that my room was solely used for pets because they were pet stains all over the floor.There was a tile missing and a rather shabby looking hole between the toilet and sink. It’s obvious that the owners of the hotel take zero care and keeping their rooms presentable to guests.

Front desk gentleman was amazing and helpful. As for the rest of the stay, it was awful. The first floor reaked of weed, third floor smelled of dog pee right out of the elevator throughout the floor. The elevator was disgusting, our room curtains were trashed and had holes and tears throughout them. The floors are not cleaned underneath the sofa pullout and had chips, condom wrappers, and who knows what.

When I got to my room, the door was ajar due to a broken panel that secures the top lock. The shampoo and conditioner they left was used and the bathtub wouldn’t drain. The service was fine but the condition of the room wasn’t up to par. Thankfully I got there late and left early, but the property definitely needs work.

The first room we went to had mold in the shower and the floors were dirty. There was still trash in the trash can. The second room they gave us, the door wouldn’t lock, smelled like urine and there was let fur everywhere. The third room was at least cleaned recently, however, there was only one bed and there weren’t any blankets for the pull out bed. Do not recommend for the price.

There was a murder right in front of the hotel at the neighboring motel. The hotel was filthy. We had to change rooms 2 times because the first room had feces and toilet paper filled to the rim! And the toilet lid was wet. The second had not been cleaned. The last one was still not great but at that point we just wanted to get to bed and leave ASAP! The floors were filthy in all of the rooms.

Where to start… This hotel doesn’t have queen beds, only doubles. Yes, this was in the description, but I missed it since I’ve NEVER been to a hotel with only double beds before. There were stains on the carpet and bedspread. My husband slept in his clothes and refused to walk barefoot, and he’s not that particular. It had to be bad. The shower’s caulking was mildewed and the bottom of the tub was peeling. There was a bath mat thrown over it to try to hide the peeling. An armed guard was at the entrance of the parking lot. While other hotels have security, this was way more obvious than any hotel I’ve ever been to before. On one hand, it’s nice to know there’s security. On the other, the guard’s presence must be necessary. The full breakfast was good—eggs, potatoes, & make-yourself waffles. There was a sign saying that they were refurbishing the hotel, so maybe it will be better soon. We’ll never know bcz we won’t be back. As we were leaving, my husband said, “I can’t believe La Quinta allowed their name to be used.” He wasn’t wrong.

Room is nice but the rooms on the odd side of this hotel are about 100 yards from I 40 and there is constant road noise. I would definitely come back to this hotel as long as I could get a room on the even number side.

For a Wyndham property, this Laquinta was far less than expected. No microwave or mini fridge. Carpet had cigarette burns for non smoking hotel. Elevators were extremely slow or stuck. The breakfasts that were included were very nice. The breakfast staff was Very helpfull.

Where to start… This hotel doesn’t have queen beds, only doubles. Yes, this was in the description, but I missed it since I’ve NEVER been to a hotel with only double beds before. There were stains on the carpet and bedspread. My husband slept in his clothes and refused to walk barefoot, and he’s not that particular. It had to be bad. The shower’s caulking was mildewed and the bottom of the tub was peeling. There was a bath mat thrown over it to try to hide the peeling. An armed guard was at the entrance of the parking lot. While other hotels have security, this was way more obvious than any hotel I’ve ever been to before. On one hand, it’s nice to know there’s security. On the other, the guard’s presence must be necessary. The full breakfast was good—eggs, potatoes, & make-yourself waffles. There was a sign saying that they were refurbishing the hotel, so maybe it will be better soon. We’ll never know bcz we won’t be back. As we were leaving, my husband said, “I can’t believe La Quinta allowed their name to be used.” He wasn’t wrong.

Nice property with updated rooms. Had several GRASS areas to walk the dog. Good experience except for the highway noise! Even with earplugs, the roaring cars were heard through the night. Might be a better sleep in a room on the east side away from the highway? Also, a warmer bedspread was needed. They provided only a sheet and a thin cotton bed cover.

The king suite we were given had ripped curtains. During our week stay we never had housekeeping visit. (Despite a sign at the front desk saying it would be every three days.)Had to call front desk multiple times just to get someone to take trash. After asking for more linens we never received them. Elevator has definitely seen some better days. There was wallpaper peeling in the corner of our suites hallway.

Our room was not clean to the point of not wanting to touch door handles. Room had a funky stale odor of old smoke. Vanity faucet shot water everywhere. TV did not work. Front desk did not answer their phone. Desk clerk had a poor attitude because their computer system was down. Very disappointing experience.

Front desk gentleman was amazing and helpful. As for the rest of the stay, it was awful. The first floor reaked of weed, third floor smelled of dog pee right out of the elevator throughout the floor. The elevator was disgusting, our room curtains were trashed and had holes and tears throughout them. The floors are not cleaned underneath the sofa pullout and had chips, condom wrappers, and who knows what.

The girl that checked me in did not tell me there was a trick to opening the door to the room. I had to go back downstairs and there was a different person at the desk helping another guest check in. He told the guest that they may have to pull up on the handle. So when I went next he said that's probably what it was if the light turns green after swiping the rook key. Sounds like this is a pretty standard inconvenience that the first girl could have let me know about. Pretty dry, unwelcoming personality on top of that.

Was great desk was very friendly. Room door didn’t want to unlock correctly, and bathroom light didn’t work correctly. Breakfast was good and plentiful and the employees were spot on. The amount of homeless people was a slight concern outside but they had security on property to watch over vehicles. Would recommend this to someone traveling in the area. And will use it again next time I’m there.

When I first arrived two policemen were making a walk-through of the property. There was also a security guard posted outside the hotel in his patrol car. Both elevators were dirty. the floor were sticky and they were old and the metal was tarnished. When my TV would not work the front desk gave me a suggestion on what to do. Our hotel room was clean, the person who checked us in was very nice and efficient. Breakfast was only waffles, dry cereal and toast. There were no eggs of any type nor was there any bacon or sausage. A little disappointing. The hotel sets in a rough area of Albuquerque. My husband and I had reservations about staying there. The young lady told us they have someone who patrols the parking lot. There are police cameras on the corner of the hotel across the streets. Lots of homeless hanging around as well.

Do not recommend this property. 3 trips. From room door to lobby to get key card to work. Again next morning same . Desk said “shake the dirt handle up down they are old ! Breakfast don’t even try. Apparently its ok to park where ever they want. There were two cars blocking the front enterance including where there is a disability accessible path way. A small car and an old dark suv. There are homless people everyehere as well as cops. There was a black truck with an guy standing outside the truck. He got in the truck and was watching as people would leave their cars and than they would attempt to open their car when the people went inside the hotel. They was watching us and we decided to drive off to Mcdonalds. They followed us than went on to a different street. We came back they were no longer there. We parked and checked in. The guy at the desk ignored me sitting infront of him for a couple munutes than asked if I needed to check in. The room was odd its like if some one used it but tried to clean it up. The bed had that body mark in the middle. The other bed was partly unmade. The desk chair was pulled out. The room needs a deep cleaning and repairs. The shower chair is broken which is unsafe for a disabled person. The whole hotel smells of urine. Spend the time to travel to a better part of New Mexico and pay the money to get a better hotel or verbo. We thank god will never be back. It was a quick trip.Take my advice its worth it to avoid these hotels. Expedia made me do a revise they say no spacific details of the room. Than I dont know how I can give a honest review. Just saying.

The property is located for an early getaway if travelling west. I like this convenience. It is noisy being located next to I-40. Homeless and druggies are in the area which is a concern about your auto and its contents. The staff is still very cooperative.

The building itself is not bad but a bit dated. The area around the hotel is a bit rough, lots of transients and apprent drug users. However this is mitigated by armed security and a quick response time by the Albuquerque Police department. They also have a surveillance station set up. The best part of the stay was the Staff from the breakfast staff to the Front desk they did an amazing job.

The hotel was very disappointing. Lots of trash around the hotel. The dog poop disposals were overflowing and never emptied the three days we were there. The rooms were minimal with no refrigerators or microwave and one very small trash can. Neither the pool nor the Fitness center were open. Very disappointing! The room satisfied the basic travel needs (clean, working AC, well lit, 24 hour coffee located in reception), convenient location to interstate, and a main boulevard, Walmart Supercenter, restaurants, gas/quick shops, and the most notable aspect was a great free breakfast. They offered juice, coffee, tea, waffles, muffins, bagels, scrambled eggs, sausage, bread for toast, fruits, cereals and more. Now the NOT so positive. The pool hot tub was closed; the exercise room was closed; the elevator was slow (5 story building), pet rooms intermingled with regular guest rooms (suggest dedicated floors) and was barked at each time I exited my room and also witnessed a dog fight; the "business center" computer didn't work and the printer was missing; the grounds as a whole showing signs of dying; there were multiple homeless people less than a block away. Perhaps the most annoying event was management's mis-timed choice to close the pool for several hours for a private party. "Mistimed" because a) it was a hot Saturday weekend day, (it was a HOLIDAY weekend at that), c) only one person used the pool while it was closed. (this a severe disappointment for our visiting grandchildren) The positives just barely outweigh the negatives for me, but others will not reach that conclusion.

The staff was friendly, and if you are a trucker, it is convenient off the interstate, but the tub was filthy. I didn't look till the morning and decided just to use the washcloths to clean up with. The breakfast was typical for this type of hotel. Rubber eggs and waffle maker.

Tv remote didn’t work so couldn’t use tv. First room they gave us had an ozone machine running so had to go back down and request a different room. Breakfast was awful. My bagel was rock hard. Desk attendant at check in was wonderful though.

When we arrived the front desk was unfriendly. Didn’t explain anything - I kept having to ask questions to find out what was happening and where things were at. The couch in the room was GROSS!!!! Breakfast was limited options with warm yogurt, water, milk.

The only thing that came out was the sausage patties which were not very well cooked. The eggs never came. The potatoes finally arrived. But if you need protein you were out of luck. For $177.00 for the night it was not worth it. We come through there twice a year and have stayed at a different La Quinta- this one was a disappointment.
