Travelodge by Wyndham Ruidoso

Bugs, dirty, broken a/c, leaking bathroom. Worst experience in my life!

I do not generally leave negative reviews; however, this stay warranted it. Rooms rates approx $56 to $77, but (two rooms) were rated at $189 plus $24 in taxes/feese each due to holiday weekend. Front desk (male) rude, lobby smelled & unclean. The overall hotel is unmanaged & seriously neglected. Combined issues in our rooms were absolutely disgustingly filthy. Floors sticky, AC, TV didn't work in one room with fire alarm ripped off the ceiling. One bed literally had soiled sheets, another room's towels looked like they attempted to bleach large blood or some sort stains out. Baseboards were ripped out, one room had a floor with a large hole in it. There was grime & dirt standing on outlets and other fixtures in both rooms. Locks questionable along with vagrants & questionable people/activities on exterior. The towels & some bedding did smell like bleach. Front desk lady on checkout was pleasant. I suspect prior reviews not written by validated guests as nothing positively stated was represented during our overnight stay. I was surprised this was a Wyndham hotel & will never stay at one again.

There was hair in my tongue when I checked it into the first room room 158. I requested another room in that room was even worse plus they had a patch under the closet shelf so I opted to purchase cleaning supplies additionally, the room key did not work for the five nights. I had to get a key every night. Additionally, there was a reserve charge on my account when I first made the reservation for roughly $78 when I checked into the hotel our card is charged for the full amount of trip and I saw my balance change in my account but now seven days later, I am seeing in charge on my account again. I need to understand when I pay for the room as of now it looks like I paid twice, and I am disputed in charge that here on my card on April 6th
